Yoongi returns home. He opens the door and instantly smells the fragrance of Kimchi. He walks to the kitchen, Jihye is in her apron, pouring the pancake batter with chopped Kimchi into the frying pan. At the side of the kitchen counter, is Jihye's phone. The song 'Eight ' is playing on the phone.
Jihye: Oh, you're back. Have you eaten dinner? I'm making some kimchi jeon (pancake).
Yoongi: Not yet.
Yoongi leans his back on the kitchen counter and turns his head looking at Jihye.
"What do you think of this song?" Yoongi asked.
Jihye: I think IU-ssi is doing her best in overcoming her despair. It reminds me of a lot of Spring Day. You did a good job in that lighthearted beat.
Jihye: I'm curious... How did IU-ssi came to you for the collaboration?
Yoongi: Well... she texted one day, saying that she listened to our album and she really enjoyed Respect and Ugh! . It kind of inspire her to have a collaboration together. I spoke to Namjoon and the team about it. We thought that a collaboration between me and IU would be great. So I agreed.
Yoongi: And we met. We shared our thoughts. I shared with her about why we wanted to write Ugh! We both agreed, as a public figure, it is natural for us to be under the microscopic view from the public. But when put their toxic anger on us and trying to justify with other nonsensical reasonings. Sometimes, it is too much.
Jihye: eung... I remembered the last time Jungkook-ssi was scrutinized for every single action he made during the long break. It was sad to see that boy not smiling every time I see him. And of course, Sulli-ssi, Goo-Hara-ssi.
Yoongi: But in the end. Instead of anger, we came to the conclusion that the purpose of this collaboration should be about something precious and positive. Reminiscing our friends is probably what we wanted most.
"I'm so proud of you." Jihye went up to him and give him a big hug.
"Is there something burning?"
"Ah! The kimchi pancake!" Jihye turns back and looks at the pancake on the frying pan turning charred.
Yoongi picks up the ladle and said: "Let Chef Min save the day."
