I bit my swollen lip in pain.
"Mi-Midas?" I mumble. I let out a hiss as a pain in my side swol up. It was too good to be true...
"Look, I'm not messing around anymore.." my vision became very blurry from my hot tears.
"Wha-why are you doing this?" I was tearing up from the pain.
"Well you see hun, I'm not really the man you want...but you're the woman I want" he un-tightened the grip on my neck and I sunk to the ground, gulping for air. He squatted down and lifted my chin. "I'm not your Midas" He smirked. My eyes widened. It was Shadow Midas!
"You-!" as I stood up he pushed me down. He poked me with a tranquilizer dart and I immediately couldn't move my body.
"You're just playing the game...sit back and relax" He was looking at my lips as he pulled out a tube of his pocket and started collecting blood from the gash in my side. I turned my head and saw a small knife on the floor. He didn't want to kill me...he wanted my blood. That gotta be what they do to make copies!
"No wonder he was so strange last night" I thought. I was pissed that somehow I didn't find this out any sooner. I slowly reach for the dart on the floor and push the needle against the floor to snap it in half. "I-I'm not letting you get my b- lood" I stutter.
He didn't get enough tranquilizer fluid in me to keep my body completely limp. As I could feel the numbness fade away Shadows Midas got a good slice on my leg.
"Ow ow" I cried. I tried to move but he held me down.

"Stop squirming dammit" He said through his teeth.
The vile of my blood nearly full. I waited a bit longer to gain my strength. I was gonna kick him, I kicked him square in the face. Despite me being numb I could move okay.
I got him hard enough he fell limp on the wooden floor. Yikes, I think I broke his nose. I pulled out one of Midas' jackets and bolted through the door.
Luckily the gash in my side wasn't stopping me.
"Everyone! Midas is-" I stopped in my tracks."You've got to be kidding me".
Two women with green hair were leaning against the Midas statue in the lobby. One I recognized, the other....not so much. One wore a hood and the other wore a mask.
"So you're Y/N" The one with the hood scoffed. "You were an assassin? You look like a Durr Burger waitress"
"Hush, Hazard" The masked one hissed. That's right! She looked like Journey! The masked woman revealed a vial with green liquid inside.
"I thou-" Hazard began.
"I am!" The other snapped. I blinked and then ran out of the doors. Where do I go where do I go!?
I couldn't go into the water, I'd be screwed.
I ran around the Agency and looked for a Henchmen. Who am I kidding? They're all gone! I noticed a helicopter resting on the landing pad. Yes! I skipped up the stairway and reached out but my ankle had been caught on something. I started being dragged down the stairs, the steps bouncing my body. I whipped around and saw a rope around my ankle. My gaze followed it to Hazard who was pulling me down. I threw my leg up and made her fall. But, as I did so I felt something smash against my forehead...

8 95Dark Lands: The Exile and the Prince
A short time has passed since the siege on Ruined Home has been lifted and as the survivors of the battered encampment slowly begin to rebuild their new home, Aurelius has returned from a failed troll hunt. Yet despite the battered prince’s failures, he has set into motion a series of events that will forever change his life. Meanwhile, Iskra has found herself at the helm of a far more favorable position and begins to forge a path that will lead her towards the first steps of a long road of revenge. Author’s Note: This is the direct sequel to the first Dark Lands story and as time goes on I will update the synopsis to help bring further detail about the story. For now however, I hope you all enjoy what is about to be written. Eight Years Arc: Eight Years have passed since Aurelius and Iskra have first met one another, and a lot has changed since then. The vast majority of Aurelius’ family has been slaughtered by the hands of none other than his oldest brother, a man that the golden haired prince had spent the past several years to hunt down and kill all in the name of vengeance. Upon his return, the kin-slaying prince has found that some things have changed during his absence. Iskra, his first wife and love of his life, has proclaimed that she no longer cares about the events that have been unfolding in her former homeland for the last several years and states that she is solely focused on raising her children. Yet it is through learning that the High Elves have taken a keen interest in the once magically-absent lands of Ranislava that Aurelius decides that action must be taken and thus he journeys south to learn more about what his distant kin are up to in such a backwater region of the world. Who he will meet and what he will do will turn the tides of fate, but in whose favor is something that only the Gods will know. (The Eight Years arc is something that was designed to be written in a way where people don't have to feel the need to go back to the very beginning of the Dark Lands story in order to know what is going on or who the characters are.)
