I slowly speed walk down the sidewalk, unable to see what's in front of me due to the heavy plastic bag covering my view.

"Y/N slow down! You could end up crashing into someone!" my mom shouts.

"I can't! I have to hurry up!" I shout.

"The shop doesn't close for another 7 hours! You still have enough time!"

"I know that, but Marissa gets off her shift soon!"

"Who's Marissa?!"

As soon as she asks that, I stand in front of the shop. I peer inside to see that Marissa was still at her desk, but it looked like she was packing up her things.

"Oh great!" I whisper.

My mom catches up to me and looks at me. "If you have to hurry up so bad then why aren't you opening the door?"

"Because my hands are full?"

My mom facepalms in realization. She opens the door as I try to quickly, but slowly, go to Marissa's desk.

"Hey Y/N. What are you doing here?!" Marissa says.

Marissa is Joana's cousin. I've known her basically ever since I first befriended Joana. Marissa is actually a fashion designer and works at a local shop. She's a manager there and is working her way to open up her own shop one day.

"I know that you're going to be leaving soon, but I have a little project for you," I say. I carefully place the bag on the chair near the desk. In an instant, Marissa jumps, both because the sight of my stomach and because of how ginormous the bag was.

"Yes I know. It's a long story. I'm-"

"Pregnant and getting married to the baby daddy," my mom interrupts.

"Mom!" I whisper shout. She just looks at me and shrugs.

"Wow. Who knew that after a year of not seeing each other you would be getting married AND having a baby! Well congratulations!" Marissa says.

"Thank you!" I grin.

"So what exactly is it that you need me to do?" She picks up the bag before untying it and then looking inside. She quickly looks up in utter disbelief. "Uhm Y/N? What is this?"

"I know. I know. It know that it's crazy but this is the best thing that I could think of. I just need you to work your magic."

"Well if you're expecting a miracle, you're going to have to do a lot of hoping."

"Marissa please. You're my only hope. You're the first person I came to because I trust you. I know you can do it."

Marissa looks at my mom and looks at me. She sighs.

"Alright fine. But you owe. BIG time."
