Drinking his blood made me feel alive. My body felt hot, and it was like my heart started to beat. "I.... lo...yo.. thank...." he whispered. Hearing him made me stop immediately. "Oh no! What have I done!" I cried. I separated from him and tried to shake him. It was useless, so I don't know why I even tried doing that.
I did my best to pick his lifeless body up and carried him bridal style. "Don't worry; I'll save you... I'll take you to the hospital or something. Please! Don't die," I cried. God he was so heavy though, I wonder if I would make it. Trudging towards the window, I felt tears fall down my eyes... I just have to save him!
I opened the window and quickly jumped out. I was determined to save him... or at least try and save him. I started to run toward the nearest hospital and get him there. I knew I wouldn't have been able to do it before, but somehow I felt different. I looked at Arthur, and he definitely looked dead. I still had to try though! I'm an idiot! I killed him.
~Arthur pov....
Is this what death is? A void of nothingness forever? Or maybe this is hell? I suppose I deserve that for not doing my job as a detective. I started to hear voices around me that I wished I could somehow drown out. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but I heard them. For a while, I didn't feel any pain, but somehow, that feeling was starting to come back to me. What is happening to me?
After some time, a long time, I was able to move something. What was it, though? I can't think of what I'm moving. "We finally got a noticeable heartbeat," someone said. What? Where did that come from? Looking around, I couldn't see anything, but I felt so much. "CLEAR!" The voice shouted. I felt my whole body jolt upwards, and suddenly there was a burst of air that hit my lungs.

"HUUUUGGHHG" I gasped. The flow of air hurt my chest. I opened my eyes and saw so much going on. The adrenaline allowed me to sit up for a bit to look around. The room was bright, and it made my head feel lightheaded... I couldn't help but fall back helplessly. However, when I did, everything went black once more.
~
A bright light woke me up finally. It made my eyes twitch and slowly open... was this finally the end? I was so confused with everything going on. "Arthur?! Thank god you are waking up!" I felt arms grab my shoulder as I quickly adjusted my eyes. "I am?.." I asked. "Of course," the voice laughed.
My eyes finally widened as I saw Gilbert and Antonio standing before me. I was in a hospital bed with a bunch of needles inside me. My leg was lifted up high with a leg brace wrapped around it. "What happened?" I asked, confused. Gilbert helped me sit up as well as handed me water. "I'll get the nurse," he spoke.
"Can you tell me what's going on?" I asked Antonio. His face grew soft as he sat on the bed beside my leg. "You were in a coma for about a month. We went to your apartment, and they searched your things," Antonio said. My heart started to beat fast as I thought about the documents I had in Francis. "Wait! A month?!" I shouted.
I felt my breathing accelerate as I tried to stand up. "No! Don't stand up, you aren't ready," Antonio said with a worried tone. A nurse soon came in and strapped me down so I wouldn't freak out. "Where's Francis?" I asked worriedly. Gilbert and Antonio looked at me and shrugged. "We don't know, but you need to tell us what happened to you. All the murders stopped, and it's like none of this happened,"

"Uhhhh.... well. I figured out who the killer was..... and our theory was right. Well, they found out that I knew... and came after me...." I said, pausing. "Well? What happened?" Antonio asked. "I killed them.... that's why there haven't been any more killings.... but I was beaten pretty badly," I spoke. It was a lie.... but I did not know what else to say about it.
"Well... I guess the case is closed. I expect a report on it after your recovery," Antonio smiled. "Haha... of course," I laughed. I wanted to know what happened to Francis and to figure out what to do. "Alright, we will let you rest, but people are waiting to talk to you. So just take it easy," Gilbert smiled.
"When can I stand up to walk?" I asked the nurse. "Very soon, it looks like your vitals are normal. Let's check your reflex and blood pressure," She smiled. I sat up on the edge of my bed and let her finish taking my physical. "Well... everything seems oddly normal, maybe you should try standing up so I can see how much work needs to be done."
I nodded at her and slowly stood up from the bed. It felt amazing to stand like that, despite having the nurse help me a little. "Wow, looks great; now try walking a little," she smiled. I nodded at her and started to let go of the bed.
I started to walk a little but nearly fell. "Hey, no worries, you did well. I think you need a week of therapy, and you will be good as new," she smiled. I nodded at what she said and started to lie back down. "You have visitors, so I'll start sending them to you," She added. When she finally left the room, I felt relieved to be alone finally. "Where are you, Francis?" I said out loud. I just needed to see him once... I needed to.

The Second Coming of Fate [A High Fantasy Story]
Prologue Arc: The Day That Begins Your Fate - COMPLETED Story Arc 1: Chaos in the Lamorian Kingdom - ONGOING Please consider following/leaving a rating. I plan to turn this into a long lasting series, and it would really mean a whole lot to me. :) ----- Having succumb to amnesia, Galvin one day appears in the Grand Forest east of the capital kingdom Lamora. For the next two months, he lives a perfectly carefree yet boring life until one fateful day changed everything. Encountering all sorts of characters and dealing with all sorts of shenanigans, Galvin begins to experience visions of what appears to be the future. With this newfound power in a world full of magic, yet plagued with war, discrimination, and brutality, will Galvin be able to change fate…or die trying? ----- Do you like stories where the protagonist doesn't start out strong and is deeply character driven (with a LOT of inner monologues)? A story that has its fair share of comedic and dark moments? Well then you've come to the right place! However, if you're looking for LitRPG mechanics, then unfortunately, this story doesn't contain too many of them. The dynamics of the story will be based on real life physics and mechanics (with a bit of magic of course!) Also, I delve deeply into a lot of disturbing topics, so readers do be warned. However, if any of this sounds interesting to you, then please come by and give my story a read. ----- Expect releases as soon as possible (which is like 4 - 10 days). Just know that I'm writing this story as it progresses, so a lot of first drafts are to be expected. :D

How The Weak Live
This was a rough draft. Quite a meh one. The newer version is These Games of Ours. ---------- Lucious is deserter among many, living by dagger and beggary. Argento’s thirst for knowledge is endless, as is his belly. Kora is the perfect soldier, yet her sword grows dull in monotony. Formally known as the Empire's legend, the Captain is now stuck in stagnation. The Gods, grown weary of human deeds, have decided to indulge themselves in a different way. -------------- THE 7 REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF Clichés shall be avoided like the cancerous tumors they are. The world shall not spread its pink butt cheeks for the main character’s convenience. No character shall be thinner than one slice of white American cheese. No female character shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main character is. No villain shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main characters are. Grammar laws shall be upheld sometimes. I, the author, swear not to be a prick. I, the author, swear not to go away without warning. If other LitRPGs are like Skyrim, then this is going to be a combination of Dark Souls and Total War. Don't expect action for the sake of action. Be warned, this is a slow novel. Read the reviews to see if this novel is a decent fit for you. Disclaimer: I do not own that gorgeous cover art.
