It was Christmas Eve and Toni was finishing putting out the last of the food and drink for the guests that were coming.

"Veronica do we definetly have the cha-"

"champagne yes it's at the bar" Veronica finished off for her.

"and do we have the veg-"

"vegetarian nibbles for Josie who's stopped eating meat, yes we have" Veronica started to grin a little behind her.

"and is Bet-"

"Betty is going to be here in about an hour and she has jughead with her. Babe everything is fine calm down" the arms wrapping around Tonis waist calmed her down a little, finally letting herself breath.

"mum, what do you think?" Toni looked over at Daniel who was now in a white shirt and tie, though he only allowed this if he could roll up the sleeves.

"you look so smart and handsome" Toni beamed, walking over to him and sorting out his tie for him.

"that reminds me I should get changed into something more presentable before your mum gets here" Toni stood up straight and made her way up to her room.

She decided to go similar to Daniel though she wore skinny black jeans, white shirt and black tie along with a slim fit black blazer and boots. She had done her makeup and hair jus tin time before she heard the door open.

"well someone looks dapper" Toni turned to face Veronica who wore a dazzling off the shoulder deep purple dress that had jewels all over it.

"you're stunning" Toni smiled a little but her mind wandered off to other places. A flash of red in her mind.

"what is it?" she asked curiously at the way Toni stared. Toni shook her head and walked right up to her, kissing her lips lightly.

"nothing Ronnie.. " before Toni could say anymore she heard the bell ring.

"that must be Cheryl and the twins" Toni ran out the room and practically jumped the stairs to make it to the door as soon as possible.

She swung the door open and her eyes landed on only the redhead.

"wow.." Toni whispered under her breath, eyes trailing over the girl in front of her.

"mum!" Thomas ran and hugged her tightly.

"hey buddy! I missed you" Toni kissed the top of his head and brought Amelia into the hug before letting go

"you guys run on, Veronica will be down in a minute" Toni urged them on and they obliged leaving just the redhead and the pink haired girls alone.

They both leaned in close, sliding their arms around each other giving each other a tight hug.

"you are looking awfully handsome" Cheryl ran her thumb and forefinger down the collar of the blazer eyes looking over the blazer then flickering up to Toni again

"you look gorgeous Cheryl" Cheryl was in a short crimson dress with the most beautiful design sewn onto it. Cheryl felt hints of nerves in her own body, she wasn't sure exactly why, maybe being around lots of people again, people she knew but hadn't seen in awhile since the break up. Her eyes caught Tonis and stayed there for a moment, she knew Toni knew what she was thinking about. Her finger raised and traced down Cheryl's cheek, their eyes never breaking apart. All Toni could think about was the beautiful girl in front of her. She was so proud of her and what she had accomplished, she no longer had therapy sessions, she was a better brighter person. She was the girl she remembered before in high-school.

"thank you Toni" Cheryl gave her a warm smile and stepped inside. They walked in together and reached the living room where the whole room had been decorated top to toe, a large Christmas Tree in the corner, it was like it was out of the movies. Everything was perfectly set up, all they needed now was guests

Everyone was finally there, laughing and chatting together.

Betty and jughead sat on the floor with the kids, Cheryl knew her cousin was destined to have children of her own with jughead, she was a perfect mum.

Cheryl sat on a sofa with Josie, Fangs and Kevin who were now a couple after Toni and Cheryl did some missions to get them together.

On another sat Sweetpea, Jade and Kylie all sat together.

Then on the final seat was Toni with Veronica sat between her legs, leaning back into her shoulder.

The night was buzzing and drinks were drunk, already they were a bit of a mess. Toni was glad Veronica didn't have neighbouring houses that could hear them being very loud and Christmas music blaring.

"right it's time for the little ones to go to bed to leaves the adults in peace" Toni called out and they all groaned in unison.

"that's so unfairrr" Amelia huffed.

"if santa comes and you're all awake he won't leave presents" Cheryl crossed her arms and they all gasped, fighting to get up the stairs first. "nailed it" she smirked.

Toni had settled them into bed and shut their door hoping everything wouldn't be too loud for them.

"it's so good to have all of us together, tonight has been amazing" Veronica spoke up and they all agreed.

"hey we should all do a throwback game take us back to our teens" Sweetpea suggested and they all turned to him.

"what do you suggest?" Josie asked already worried about what he was thinking.

"spin the bottle and dare or dare" he suggested. They all whooped, this could get interesting.

"get some dares in first let's get this going" Fangs urged them on "Josie, you're the most lightweight, stab a hole into the bottom of two beer cans and down them one after the other.

" I cannot do that! " her eyes widened but Toni was already up grabbing what she needs.

" finneee one large can" Fangs whined.

"for you" Toni handed over the can. Jodie reluctantly stabbed the bottom and quickly raised it over her mouth letting it drain into her mouth as they all chanted to chug. To their surprise she actually did ait and they all cheered in support.

"right my go to dare... Jade, you have to close your eyes and be spun around until you stop and face one person. Whoever that person is you have to go give a massive hickey"

"oh dayum" Jughead grinned and watched as Jade got up and stood in the middle of the room closing her eyes and spinning.

"this is not good when you've been drinking" she groaned.

"if you puke you're not coming back over next to me" Kylie warned playfully.

"I'm holding it in!" she grinned and stopped turning. Her eyes opened and fell on Kevin. "pretty boy" she strode over and leant down placing her lips to his neck and started to nip at it before sucking and leaving a dark hickey. Jade pulled back and everyone admired her work.

"I'm pretty sure Jades a vampire, look what she did to him" Sweetpea looked at the mark.

"they like it when I bite" Jade winked "anyway.... Toni.... I dare you to... Give Betty... A lap dance and then sit on her lap the rest of the game" Betty's eyes widened.

"prepare for a moment you'll never forget ponytail. The rest of your life will be disappointment because nothing will come close to being as good as this" Toni teased as Veronica got of her so she could stand.

"excuse me what about me" jughead whined.

"sorry jug, it's just the truth. Now Betty, sit" she pointed at the spot next to Veronica and then removed her blazer throwing it to the side.

"Jade My dear give me some music" Jade grabbed her phone as Betty went and sat in the spot. Toni loosened her tie and undid all but the last two buttons exposing her black lace bra. The group whistled and cheered

"I feel like I'm watching a porno already" Josie groaned.

"only less plumbers and more sexy bandmates" Cheryl added.

The music started playing and Toni started the lap dance out of touch as first, bending and moving in the right angles, but when she moved onto Betty's lap, grinding and doing the lap dance, Betty's cheeks heatened, her hands moving to Tonis hips, she turned her head to Veronica

"OK sorry I think I've fallen in love with your girlfriend" Toni pushed Betty's jaw with her finger to make her look back at toni and undid her tie completly. Using it to tie Betty's wrists together.

"no touching" she teased and finished off her dance before she turned and just sat on Betty's lap. There was loud clapping and they all whistled. "thank you thank you"

"well Toni I will never unsee that" Fangs spoke up

"you're welcome.. Now who's next"

They played a few more rounds until they all moved onto the floor, sitting in a circle with the bottle in the middle of them.

"who takes first spin?" Sweetea asked.

"I will" Veronica took the bottle and spun it, making it go round and round until finally it slowed and landed on Sweetpea. She crawled over and pressed her lips to his for a little while getting some oo's out of people before she pulled back and went back to her spot.

"they have totally done that before" Cheryl commented and laughed a little.

"heyy no exposing our high-school mini kiss fling" Veronica pouted.

"my turn" Sweetpea took the bottle this time and it spun quickly until finally it landed on Toni.

Toni crawled over and placed her hands on his cheeks as his gripped her hips. Toni suddenly moved in and her lips crashed into his, the kisses heavy and heated, maybe slipping in a bit of tongue to add to the make out session. Toni eventuslly pulled back and pushed her hair out of her eyes. Cheryl felt a burning desire for her bottle to fall onto a certain pink haired girl. She had felt jealousy tighten on her chest as she watched toni and tthe biy share a heated kiss

"that was hot" Betty admitted. Toni went back to her space and took the bottle.

"my spin" she spun it quickly and her eyes followed it around until it suddenly came to a stop. Her eyes looked up and landed on her. Cheryl. Toni gulped a little before crawling over. It had been awhile since they kissed.

She was scared. She couldn't deny the fear and thrill of being able to kiss Cheryl again. She knew it was wrong, her only focus should be Veronica who sat beside her but...there was a want there... Deep down inside of her. Toni tucked some hair behind Cheryl's ear gently before leaning in and pressing her lips onto hers. The kiss was sweet, gentle, quite long lasting. But that wasn't the issue. The issue was that spark of life that ran through both the girls. They knew they both felt it, they wanted more of it but forced themselves to stop. She pulled apart from Cheryl and her eyes reached hers for a moment where they stayed in stasis before Toni crawled back to her spot and kissed Veronica's cheek lightly almost as a reassurance.

Cheryl grabbed the bottle and spun it full force making it take twice as song to lose speed and slow to a stop on...

"oh my-" Veronica whispered

Kylie.

Everyone looked between them, both girls eyes scanning over each other unsure.

"come on bombshell, come over here" Kylie beckoned with a smirk.

"no, you come to me" Cheryl did not look like she was moving.

"She's demanding, I love that" Kylie cralwes her way over "but radiates bottom energy.. Yep definite-" Cheryl grabbed her collar and pulled her in, kissing her with full force, knocking Kylie onto her back and moving onto her to get a better kissing angle.

No one expected the kiss to be so.. Strong. They all just watched the make out scene play out for a good while until finally Cheryl pulled back. Toni just stared between her two exes. How did this happen? And that kiss was so passionate that Toni thought maybe something was going on with them.

"don't test my limits Kylie" she grabbed her shirt and pulled her to sit up straight a playful smirk on her lips at Kylies dazed stare. The final thing she did was press a soft kiss to her cheek and then let her go.

"OK so that's new" Fangs butted in breaking the confusion.

"hot" jade smirked and turned to look at Cheryl "can I have a make out session like that?" she asked playfully and Cheryl shook her head laughing a little with the others.

"no you horny child, Kylie please spin the bottle before she says anymore"

They were all getting tired and people were starting to leave until only Cheryl, Toni and Veronica were left with the kids sleeping upstairs.

"I ought to grab the presents" they had all been hidden away but they needed to get everything out and sorted.

"alright but can I quickly talk to you first" she asked and took her hand dragging her along

"alright alright I'm coming" she spoke softly and stood up following Toni out of the room and found a more secluded room out of earshot.

"what's going on Toni?" Veronica asked softly, thumb running gently over the top of Tonis hand.

"I need to talk to you about something really important...I need to say it now before its too late, its the right thing to do" she stepped a little closer and let a heavy breath out.

"so the thing is..."

"mum! Mum! Mum! Santas been! " Toni was shaken awake by the screaming form that was Amelia. Toni let out a small whine covering her throbbing head. She had a huge hangover from the night before. She looked over to the clock and saw it was 6.30am

"can I have like another hour?" she mumbled into the pillow of the bed. On the other far end of the bed she heard Veronica shuffle a little.

"Veronica, quick, santas been and he's left presents" Amelia now moved onto shaking her lightly.

"bring the stocking in here sweetie" Veronica murmured, rubbing her eyes as she awoke. Amelia jumped off the bed and ran off into her room.

"merry Christmas... " Veronica turned over to face Toni who already wore a sad smile, the space in the middle of the bed cold and empty.

"Merry Christmas V" Toni replied and leant in a little but then objected the idea and moved back.

Toni got out the bed and head out to go to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and turned to go back out. As she walked out the door she crashed into another knocking them back. Toni quickly wrapped her arm around and caught the girl.

"Sorry about that" she brought Cheryl back up straight, a grin on her lips.

"you always find ways to sweep me off my feet" Cheryl laughed and pushed her bed hair out of her face.

"Merry Christmas" Toni rubbed her eyes a little, still very sleepy.

"merry Christmas, Amelia has not stopped the waking up rediculous early huh?"

Toni shook her head, she hoped she would grow out of waking up early but she had a feeling she would not. Amelia was bonkers about Christmas.

"nope and probably never will, I better get going to her" Toni smiled and realised they had been in this position for awhile. Her arm around Cheryl, holding her chest to chest. Toni looked up at her and leant a little closer forwards but changed her mind and let go of Cheryl going off to find her daughter

The presents had all gone well, the kids loved all their presents and now the three girls were starting to exchange gifts. There was a knock at the door and Cheryl raised her head.

"ah yes, now you three, I decided to buy you an extra present to share. I do believe our delivery driver is here" Cheryl grinned mischievously and Toni rose her brow a little, confusion in her eyes but she did not question.

Toni mouthed 'what did you get?' but she just shook her head.

"let's go to the door and get the present!" Cheryl beamed and all the kids jumped up and quickly went wihh her to the door. Toni and Veronica followed still curious to what this mysterious present was.

Daniel opened the door and Betty and Jughead were there. That was expected. They had been invited to come and have Christmas Dinner with them. Only what moved in Betty's arms was not. In Betty's arms there was a little husky puppy who looked just like a ball of white and black fluff. A small name tag saying 'Skye' hung from his neck . Toni gasped in awe as it did a cute little bark. She wanted to keep him for herself forever

"wow Toni never knew you thought I was so cute" Betty teased. The kids all squealed and went to pat him and stroke him softly.

"alright alright let Betty and jughead in" Toni said trying to pull them out the cold.

Present opening continued, between all the adults, Toni being very happy over the new motorbike Veronica had bought her, they struggled to bring her away from it. Toni just had one main last present left, she picked it up and gave it to Cheryl. She looked at it for a moment and smiled a little to herself. She opened the wrapping to see a small box. Inside was a silver necklace. There was a small silver heart hanging from it that had the words

'beneath your beautiful ' was engraved on it, a small diamond jewel replacing the dot on the I.

"the first song we ever sang together back in highs school, when we first really started to get to know each other..." Toni waited for a response to this. Cheryl was quiet a moment but her lips fell into a huge grin and she pulled the necklace out.

"it's beautiful Toni... Its so amazing thank you. This means the world to me" she put it on herself and moved forward to embrace Toni in a tight hug getting awes out of everyone but the kids who were distracted by the puppy. After too long they pulled apart and sat back down.

"well if all is done I shall head into the kitchen and start to prepare food" Veronica got up and gave Toni a small affirmitive nod as Betty stood up.

"I'm gonna come help, I don't trust jughead around the food, he will eat it all" Jughead went to deny but found no words.

"I will be there as soon as I can Ronnie" Toni promised her, Veronica gave her a small smile.

"take as much time as you need" then the two girls went into the kitchen.

"hey Cher I got an extra present for you but you gotta come out with me" Toni put her hand out and Cheryl nervously took it. They wrapped up warm and made their way out. Toni walked her to the park, being careful on the snowy and icy paths. Finally they arrived at the dark and Toni went straight to the small circular dome building that overlooked the frozen river.

"what are we doing here Toni?" Cheryl asked as they came to a stand still.

"this was where I proposed to you before, this spot is the place I confessed my love for you and I promised to be by your side and love you until the end. I broke my promise. I failed you and I didn't keep to my word, it's what you deserved. But I wanna change that, I want to keep my promise" Toni fell to one knee, taking Cheryl's old engagement ring out of her pocket which she had snuck away awhile back because deep down she knew she was going to use it.

"Cheryl I promise to not fail you or the kids again, I promise to be here for you and do what I can to make life better. I will be loyal and kind, treat your needs as my own. Give you a love that will not be taken by death, it will live on for eternity...cheryl...will you marry me? "

"so the thing is Ronnie I... I-"

"you love Cheryl" Veronica finished without Toni being able to speak. Toni turned shocked she had filled the words in herself.

"I am not blind Toni, I see the way you look at her. The love may have died before but now it has reignited, I know because it's the way you looked at me once" Toni's heart broke at Veronica's words.
