"mum" Toni woke to a sniffling voice coming from the bedroom door. Her eyes opened a little, she could see in the dark but knew who it was.

"again amelia?" she asked with a quiet sigh, Veronica already shuffling to the side knowing what Amelia was gonna do. Amelia slid on the bed cuddling her Teddy in her arms as she slipped between the two of them. Toni loosely placed her arm over the smaller girl, hand resting on Veronica's hand lightly.

After about 10 minutes Toni knew Amelia was asleep so finally whispered to Veronica.

"this is crazy, I mean she has done it before a lot but lately it's basically every night. She can't keep going like this" Toni whispered, worry filling her face.

"maybe you should talk to her, she's under a lot of stress since you and Cheryl split up. Maybe when you and Cheryl take the kids out tomorrow?" she suggested, keeping her voice down to not wake the young girl.

"yeah you're probably right" Toni nodded, she couldn't let this go on, she would have to step up and do something about it. Help however she could.

"mummy!" all the kids run to the door as Cheryl took only a couple steps into the house. She took them all into her embrace, hugging them tightly. Eventually they let go and ran on outside.

"careful! Don't go further than the car!" Cheryl called back.

"do I get a big hug too?" Toni Rose her brow with a playful smirk.

"come here you idiot" she laughed, bringing Toni in close and holding her in her arms tightly. They stayed in the embrace for awhile until Toni was the first to pull back.

"you sure you want me to come along?" Toni asked going to grab her boots and slip them on.

"of course and Veronica is welcome to come if she likes?" Cheryl offered.

"babe" Toni called back and Veronica came around the corner "wanna come with us?" she asked as Veronica walked closer to her.

"sorry I really can't, band stuff, but you two just go look after the kids and have fun" She pressed a light kiss to Tonis cheek before heading back into the house.

"just me and you then" Toni grinned and jumped into Cheryl's convertable.

The roof was down as we drove, my arm sticking out the window

"so I was thinking we go get ice cream and head to the park, how does that sound?" Cheryl suggested, all the kids cheering in agreement. Toni leant back into the seat and looked out the window at the buildings flying by. She enjoyed this, being with the hole family again, she missed these kind of outings. They became scarce nearer the ending of their relationship, time seemed to always get away from them whenever they planned anything. Toni was so deep in thought she hadn't noticed Cheryl had stopped the car and the kids had jumped out.

"penny for your thoughts?" Toni looked over at the redhead and shook her head, smiling again.

"nothing interesting, come on let's get going" Toni went to get out the car but the light grip kept her in it pulling her over the centre towards Cheryl.

"Don't lie to me Ms Topaz" Cheryl frowned but still had that playful grin on her lips.

"I just missed this, missed all the fam together" Toni shrugged, the answer seemed to be good enough as her wrist was let go and Toni got out.

Once ice creams were bought they all walked down the street together trying to lick the ice cream as quick as possible to make sure it didn't drip.

They came across the park and entered inside, a few kids were already there with parents at the side watching.

"finish your ice creams first then you can all go play"

The ice creams were finished at lightning speed and they all went to run but Toni quickly held Amelia back.

"hey sweetie I need to chat with you before you go and play, Cher can you go keep an eye on dumb 1 and dumb 2 whilst I chat" Toni asked and Cheryl rolled her eyes

"I got them" she laughed and jogged on to catch up with Thomas and Daniel.

"so Amelia, I wanted to ask you about your nightmares, you seem to be having them a lot lately... Wanna try and explain, when did they start?" Toni asked.

Amelias face dropped and she pouted a little.

"scawy dreams... Started when mummy left the first time" Toni wasn't suprised this is where they started. "and now they were worse since you and mummy don't live together anymore"

"I'm sorry hunny, it's probably all the stress and difficulties. It happens wihh me too, i get nightmares a lot, but I went to the doctors and they gave me stuff to get better. I will make sure you get the the help you need too" Toni wrapped at arm around Amelia.

"I love auntie V and you mum...but are you and mummy ever going to be together again? Can't you just say sorry and get back together? I miss mummy being around ' Amelia asked curiously. Toni crouched beside Amelia and tilted her head a little.

" Amelia do you want to stay at mummy's most of the time instead of with me and aunt V, you will still see us just spend most of the time with Mummy" Toni asked, feeling like Cheryl was ready for the kids now and they should be able to decide for themselves.

"would Thomas and Daniel come?" Amelia asked, rocking on her feet a little.

"only if they want to, I will ask them too, but if you'd like to, I will talk to mummy and sort things out" Toni explained. Just perfect timing Cheryl came to their side out of breath.

"Amelia go take my place before I pass out" Cheryl laughed as she collapsed dramatically onto the bench.

Amelia ran off to the boys leaving the girls alone.

"what was that about?" Cheryl asked and Toni looked over.

"amelia misses you, her nightmares are getting worse and I think she needs to have you around. If you'd be OK with that?" Toni asked, Cheryl sitting up at this new information.

"of course she can, anyone can stay who wants to stay" Cheryl laid her head onto Tonis shoulder and snuggled up close.

"thank you Cher...im so glad finally things are starting to fall into place" Toni admitted.

"we can get through this together as a team, I love you Toni and will be the for you whenever I'm needed.

" I love you too Cheryl blossom"
