I was scared, my heart was beating so fast in fear. Getting lost in a foreign country is so terrifying especially when a person like me can't even see. The only person that I was thinking of, was Anuraag. His mere thought made me hopeful to find my way to home. I asked some people, they told me nearest bus stop, which was right side of stop sign poll, I walked steadily towards it, with the help of my cane, then out of nowhere someone snatched my purse, though I didn't have anything in it apart from some money. But it made fall on the ground, my cane fell somewhere too, I couldn't find it..I felt so helpless, tears started to run out my eyes, without any guide of direction, I ran. I fell on something, somewhere. It hurt badly I couldn't move,I sat aligning my back by cold tin cylinder shaped thing.
I was crying, then someone came and he helped me. His name was Davies Lucas. He bandaged my foot and called Anuraag for me.
I was waiting impatiently for him, when Anuraag came he hugged me, I felt safe, and most importantly relieved to be with him. After all he was the only person I knew in this country.
—
Laying on his lap, while his hands were massaging my head, I felt like I am in some kind of paradise. The way his hands were moving on my head, made me calm, I was now slowly yet steadily falling asleep,my eyelids felt heavy, and I doze off in deep sleep.
.
.
.
"Geeta! I can't find my watch, can you help?" Raj yelled across the room.
"It's on the second shelf, to the right side of bed."
I walked cautiously, towards the door.
"Good morning."

I jumped, as I was startled by his melodic voice.
"Did I scare you?" His voice was raspy, like he just woke up.
"No, just startled—were sleeping here?."
"Yes, But trust me I was on the couch." He said defensively.
"I trust you." I bit my lower lip, suppressing a smile.
"Were you going somewhere?" He asked.
"No—I mean yes, to the kitchen."
"Are you ok?" He sounded worried.
"I am—why did you ask?" I asked curiously.
I heard his foot steps coming closer. He intertwined his fingers, lacing with mine. "I was scared, for a moment I thought I lost you yesterday...but thank god..." He smiled through his words.
"I was scared too—
"Diya and Anuraag, please come downstairs, breakfast is ready!" Geeta interrupted.
We both awkwardly laughed.
—
Yesterday I supposed to take her to our new house, but situation arisen out of nowhere, now I am fearful—anything could happen, she can go away from me, if I don't give her enough reasons her to stay. I need to tell her, I want settle down with her, but there is also a possibility. What if she doesn't want me, what if she don't feel the same?
And this "what if" was killing me.
—
Three days later, we moved back to our Condo in Vancouver. I couldn't fulfill my promise to take her out.
Christmas was arriving in less than a week. And I was busy with office work. I even hired a maid for Diya.
"Anuraag, your dad is calling you in the office." Raj said entering my office.
"Sure, I will be in 2 min."
"Yes dad?"
"What am I hearing? You are staying in your office at every night. Then who's with Diya?" He said in stern voice.

"I hired a maid, dad."
"A maid?—you are newly wed to her, give her time.—Oh why don't you take her, to this upcoming Christmas party!?!"
"Of course dad." I replied with a smile.
"Perfect—and you are not coming office until I call you,Got it?"
"Yes. Sir!" I said firmly.
___
"Jane, where's Diya?" I asked the maid.
"Sir.." she looked worried.
"What happened?!"
I ran to the room, she was laying on the bed, here eyes were closed.
"Sir, She was unconscious, when I came to ask her what she want for diner.—But don't worry I called the doctor, he said. She will be fine. Though I even called but you were not picking up." Jane said.
"Thank you, for taking care her."
"Your welcome, Mr.Agnihotri." Jane said and left the room.
I sat on the side of the bed, I took her hand in mine, caressing her forehead."Diya?" I whispered softly, kneeling by the bed.
"Anuraag" her voice was weak.
"What happened?"
"We have to go India as soon as possible!" She said waking up abruptly.
"Why? What happened?"
"My uncle is in ICU! He suffered heart stroke. Aunt called me few hrs ago. She was crying...I-I
"Hey..stop crying I am with you, we both will go there, he will be fine." I hugged her.
"Let me book tickets for tomorrow! I will make the arrangements. You just rest." I assured her.
I walked out of the room, "Lina..book two tickets for tomorrow's flight to India," I said.
"Okay sir, on it." Lina said ending the call.
—
"Diya, we are taking morning flight, at 5 am, so be ready. And don't worry about packing your luggage, Jane is helping me with that. You just rest." I said.

The Silver Mana - Book 1: Initiate
I used to be a healthy, young guy with a normal life - I had a career planned in professional soccer, a girlfriend, lots of hobbies, and loads of fun. Until the accident. Which changed my life. A few years later I had adjusted to my new reality, adjusted to being in a wheelchair, adjusted to having someone take care of me 24/7. And then the world changed. Old people and kids did not make it. And neither was I supposed to make it. But never count me out. If anything, I am tenacious. This new world was different. People could do magic. And there were monsters. And what about me? I had mana as well, silver mana. Which no one else seemed to have. The only problem was, I did not know what to do with it. Until I really needed to. Author's note: This is the rewrite of Silver Mana. The first bunch of chapters (until I will have caught up to level 2 of the dungeon) should be quite familiar to people that have read the original. There are some changes in content, but the story follows the original fairly closely for at least the first 150-200 pages. Most of the changes are in the writing, and some of the details of how things work. A few of the side characters get a bit more attention too. Some general comments to avoid disappointment: 1. The MC likes to swear. If you object to reading the word "fuck" at least once and usually multiple times each chapter don't read the book. "Fuck" is such a great, allencompassing word... fuck that; what the fuck?; fuck me! Fuck! one word, expressing so many nuances. And, frankly, the people I know that use fuck as a swear word.. they often use it a lot. 2. If you are looking for immediate progression, rapid advancement of the story, etc.... read another book. This one takes a bit. 3. I am NOT Pirateaba (who is writing The Wandering Inn) or anyone close to that level of productivity. If you expect to read 10k words every 3 days, or even just once a week... sorry. I've got a busy life. This is for fun, I have no patreon, paypal, anything, so I write when it is fun and however much is fun. Not more. And sometimes that turns out to be a decent amount, sometimes nothing. I have another book (Marrow) so that complicated things - basically I switch between the two whenever the muse strikes me.

Myth of The World's Trees
And Simon answered their call with a single statement that nobody understood "Et super mos absit hoc hodie!" "Yah!" "WWWaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!" "AAAlllllaaaaallllaaaaallllaaaa!" "EeEEellllleeeeeelllllleeeeeeuuuuuuu!" I, too, yelled a battle cry at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what Simon had just spouted but from Camilla's giggling, I could guess that Simon thought that spouting nonsense was his way of getting out of the earlier predicament. "I forbid death upon this day," Camilla said. "What?" I answered a bit at a loss. "Ancient Latin," she replied smugly, "He said 'I forbid death upon this day'." I laughed aloud "Then he is gonna be really disappointed in everyone here," Camilla did not reply and instead took a deep breath. I did the same, zoning out everything in my surroundings. The environment became a world of electrical pulses traveling across several networks. I perceived the world through my lightning and sped my heartbeat to inhuman levels. I was present now, at this moment, at this point in time. I could feel the electrifying air saturating my lungs, the electrified ground vibrating at the rhythm of the approaching enemy. Then I took a step forward, everyone followed in tandem. Camilla the first, and then the others. Then I took a second step, and this time everyone followed simultaneously. Third step… Fourth step… Fifth step… Then light jogging… Speeding up… Running … Running faster…. Then suddenly, everyone disappeared into motes of light particles that re-constructed itself hundreds of feet above the horde, dozens of miles away from our initial position. We were literally 'diving' into battle.-------------------------------------------------------------------Despite a rough childhood in the slums, Omari had everything a guy could want - a loving girlfriend, an understanding sister, a wonderful teacher, and his dream job. Still, the scars from his childhood made Omari unable to live a dull life. He dreamed of something greater... something beyond the reaches of what humankind could achieve in the current era.Like always, Omari should have been careful what he wished for. In the year 2046, the World was thrown into chaos as the apocalypse came in the form of massive trees that shot up out of the ground one day. These trees towered over the tallest of buildings and had thicknesses that spanned kilometers at a time. They grew everywhere, in homes, businesses, and cities as they formed a complex network that overlayed the old world. The cause of the apocalypse was unknown, but Omari's workplace was believed to be the origin point of the unfortunate events.Fifteen years after the start of the Apocalypse... after all the pain and suffering... after losing everything he cared about, Omari sent his memories back in time to make sure that the future he lives in, never came to be.Will he be able to uncover the mystery of The Trees? Will he be able to protect all those he has lost? Will he succeed, or will his attempt be washed away by the currents of time? Will Omari be able to learn the truth about 'THE MYTH OF THE WORLD'S TREES'?

Today was a great day. I died. It wasn't a great day because I died. No, it was a great day and I died. One has nothing to do with the other. Enough nonsense. Let's continue with the topic we're all curious about. Why was it a great day? I achieved my dream to transform my real life into an MMORPG. Grinding skills, leveling up, collecting coins, going on an adventure, and making progress on my main quest. The dream of every gamer. And no, I'm not mad.
