《Pottah ✔》chapter 40

It was graduation. Anxiety, dread and excitement was stuffed into Harry's feeble body as his eyes scanned across the room. The dining tables were sat with rows and rows of students in graduation robes, every person in every house displayed the same emotions as him, just some were more excited than anxious and vice versa.

From where he sat, Harry could see Draco's back, he was eagerly chatting with Blaise and haven't even looked in Harry's direction once upon entering the dining hall. How mean, Harry pouted, he didn't even check up on him once since he's sat down next to Blaise. Ginny was down the table from him and Hermione was holding Ron's hand, it seemed like just yesterday they were all great friends and yet now, they were all in the most unexpected positions. Ginny was going to become a professional quidditch player and is Harry's ex, Hermione and Ron were now a couple and a team on their own. Harry still are best friends with them, but now he himself is in a relationship and just started to experience how distancing it truly is.

"Harry, are you alright? You look a little pale there." Hermione asked, her voice the same as he remembered. Harry nods, smiling slightly as he looks into Hermione's eyes. They were the same brave, smart eyes he saw when they first met each other. It's been a ride; Hogwarts is truly an amazingly insane place to have been able to attend and yet here he is, finished the entire corriculum. Experienced what Hogwarts had to offer, what school had to offer. Some days, he wondered what would've happened if he had stayed with his awful relatives or if his parents weren't James and Lily Potter. Would anything have changed?

He hoped not.

"Lover boy's looking a little slumped there, Malfoy. Giving him enough attention?" Blaise whispered cheekily, urging the blond to look over at his boyfriend. Rolling his eyes, Draco was just excited to get this ridiculously overrated ceremony to be over. Professor McGonagall stepped on the podium and immediately a silence washed over all the students as if a silent spell has been casted, all eyes fixed on her as she cleared her throat and smiled bittersweetly.

"Students. I, Minerva McGonagall, am proud of you. You students have perservered through a war, you have fought alongside us in protecting what we believe is the future of magic and for that, we are eternally grateful. Today, you take a leap into your future. You have been set free to be what you want to be, to do what you want to do. Congratulations! As much as I hate to admit it, I will miss you terribly." She sob, taking a tissue that was offered to her by a house elf.

Rows and rows of graduation letters floated down into the palms of every student in the room, chatter filled the dining hall one last time. Draco hated to admit it but he would miss Hogwarts, it wasn't the best place but it was the place where he's made most of his memories regardless. It's a shame, really. He's only started to enjoy it and it's finished.

"Shall we go?" Blaise pulls Draco out of his trance. Looking around, quite a lot of students were leaving already. Even Professor McGonagall's left, but then again, junior classes were still on and she was a busy teacher now that Dumbledore isn't around.

"Sure." Draco nods, standing up and leaving.

Harry watched in horror as Draco left the dining hall with Blaise, where was he going? Since when was he and Blaise so close? How come he didn't say anything to him before leaving? An ugly feeling begin to boil in Harry's veins, jealousy was it called? Blaise wasn't gay, and Draco loves Harry... doesn't he?

"Harry... there's a display of sandwiches before you and you haven't touched one, are you okay?" Hermione asks. Harry frowns, was she calling him fat?

"Perhaps he's finally grown out of his ravenous hunger." Ron chuckles as he stuffs his face with a cream cheese and ham sandwich, earning him a smack on the shoulder from Hermione. Harry laugh slightly as Ron yelp, holding his arm cautiously as Hermione shot him a death glare. No one was going to be there to support him or his hunger anymore, Hermione wanted to visit her muggle parents and Ron was probably going with her, perhaps they were even going to get married. Which leaves Harry all alone...

"Ron! Harry!" He whipped his head around, he knew that voice anywhere!

"Molly!" Ron chirped, running into his mother's arms. Harry quickly followed. Molly was the only person that stuck by him, perhaps if he needed some support for him and his hunger, he could over to her's for tea.
