《Pottah ✔》Chapter 35

It was a Saturday, no classes so that meant Draco could stay in the entire day! Harry had quidditch practise so he had to leave in the early afternoons. It was comforting to have an entire alone, Harry had agreed to bring Harco to quidditch practise, which was such a sweet thing to do! Draco just had a nice soak in the boys' shower and now he was cuddled up in his sheets reading Romeo and Juliet, at this stage it was his third time reading this book.

"Draco, we need to talk." Hermione boomed from outside Harry's dormitory door, banging on the poor, old wooden door. Draco flinched at each thud, the loud noise echoed throughout the stone and wooden room. Frowning at the ruckus, he reluctantly opened the door for the hollering lass.

"Yes we do, Granger. We are not on a first name basis yet." Draco rolled his eyes as the shorter brown haired girl waddled into the room. She neatly situates herself on Ron's bed as Draco sat on Harry's, both maintaining awfully solid eye contact. "So what must we discuss, Granger?" Draco speaks up first, finally unable to take the silence any longer.

"What do you think about Harry?" Draco's breath hitched for a second before he composed himself, hopeful that Hermione did not pick up on his internal flinch.

"He's... friendly? I don't know, I just think of Potter as... Potter. What else must I think about him? He's a prick sometimes, annoying brat at other times and a friendly loser majority of the times." Draco shrugged nonchalantly, pretty proud of his comments. Hermione lifted an eyebrow doubtfully before continuing her interrogation.

"Do you... like Harry?" She continues. Draco purses his lips into a thin line as he racks his head for an answer, Hermione was hot on his trails and he did not like it.

"Like? Perhaps in a friendly way but not too much." Draco shrugged, trying to play it off cool.

"You hesitated." "I did not." "You did!" Hermione shouts in amusement, clearly eager at this reaction of Draco's.

"Have you come here just to tick me off, Granger? Because you certainly executed your plan very well!" Draco frustratedly walks to the door and swings it wide open. "Out you go!"

"You have no rights to kick me out!" "Oh, yes I do. You're not even allowed to be in the boys' dormitories- it's a privileged I even let you in here, Granger. Now, out!" Draco scoffs as Hermione took heavy steps towards the door.

"Harry will hear about this." Hermione warns as she takes the final step towards the door.

"Nice- I don't care." Draco smiles as he slams the door shut. Hermione, unexpectedly, was smiling eagerly. As if she didn't know what Draco and Harry's been doing in the dead of the night, who do you think Harry has been going to for love advise? Harry and Hermione agreed to make a link together as she interrogated Draco while Harry was at practise.

"Did he slam the door into you?" "Yeah, he was so flustered! He even blushed, Harry. He's whipped for you! What a cutie." "Hermione!" "What? It was just an observation." "I've got to go, I think Captain's catching on that my head's not in the game. Can you cast off the link by yourself, Hermione?" "Of course, Harry. Who do you think I am?" Hermione scoffs before ending the link.

Draco paced around the room, worried for what will happen if Hermione were to find out he was gay and he liked Harry of all people! She was a sensible person, so she'd negotiate right? Right? Bollocks, Draco wanted to pull his hair right out of their roots! It was just so stressful, why did he want to keep it a secret in the first place? Was it even a shameful thing to be gay? And a heir! The Malfoy family must have a pureblood child as well, what will father think about this? He won't be pleased, that's for sure. Halting, Draco looked out the window at the woods. Yes, the woods, the place of solitary where he could unwind to the best of his abilities.

The wonderful breeze, the familiar smell of wet leaves and dew, how the flowers were sprinkled across the fields and the trees stood tall and proud. The paths never shifted and everything was just so nostalgic to him. It was surprising that Draco of all people liked nostalgia, considering his past. It was just a mellow feeling of gratefulness that can't be felt by anything other than nostalgia.

"How are you, professor? Is the afterlife treating you quite well? The living world's been... rather eventful lately and I can't tell if its for the better or the worse." Draco sat himself down on a log as he began to converse with a slab of stone.

It was rather depressing to see him prefer a slab of stone than Blaise, who wasn't coping too well with Gregory... at all.

"You are not leaving Hogwarts to chase after some lowlife!" Hollered Blaise, his blood boiling from his heated rage.

"Don't speak of her like that!" Greg responded, throwing his shirt into the luggage. Blaise ran to his luggage and began throwing everything apart. "What the bloody fuck are you doing, you fucktard?!" Greg pushed Blaise off his luggage, sending him backwards into a wall. Flinching at the thud, Greg's eyes widened in horror as he's realised what just happened.
