The lads of 5 Seconds Of Summer were having a very special meet and greet in LA today. They were doing a meet and greet and signing for the release of their third album. The lads had arrived at the venue about half an hour ago and were now just about to enter the room where everyone was. As the four entered the room there was a loud scream erupting from the room.

The lads took the time to wave to everyone before taking their seats. Just before they could though, several loud bangs were heard. The crowd erupted in a different type of screams. The security were quick to restrain the man, three of the four lads and all the screaming girls watching in horror. The three standing lads were horrified, what if it had been one of them?

One of the four lads was sitting down on his chair, clutching his heart. There was blood flowing steadily out of the wound, where a bullet had gone in. He couldn't think. His brain was foggy with shock and the fast loss of blood. Suddenly, the lad fell off of his chair, falling unconscious and landing on the floor with a loud bang. His other three bandmates were quick to look over at the lad lying on the floor. At first they were too shocked to realise it but quick they all came to the same realisation.

Calum had been shot.

"GUYS SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE QUICK!" Ashton yelled, loads of frantic, worried, and above all, scared fans running around and screaming like crazy, security trying to hold them back. Luke and Michael were instantly at Calum's side. Grabbing tissues that fans were chucking to them and what was on the tables.

"Ambulance has been called. It's on it's way." Security announced.

"Guys, Calum is going to be alright. He'll get through this. He's strong, He won't give up for you. He loves you all so much. We all do. Calum is the person that believes in us all. Don't give up praying for him or stop believing in him. He believes in every single one of you for being here and supporting us." Ashton announced, joined the rest of security with his crazy fans, his fans breaking down in tears.

One of the fans began singing and soon the rest of the fans caught on, tears in their eyes as they sang The Only Reason for Calum. Michael, Luke and Ashton felt their heartbreak after hearing all the fans, letting a few tears fall themselves. Ambulance sirens could be heard in the distance so security went to wave them over to the lads.

"Ok so what happened here then?" One of the paramedic asks, taking the tissues from Calum's chest, revealing the hole where he was shot.

"We heard gunshots, and the fans screaming then the guy was taken away. We were too busy watching the guy being taken away to notice Calum. Then, we heard a thud. He has been like this ever since" Michael announced, looking at the ground, feeling guilty with himself for not taking notice. The paramedic nodded, replaced the tissues with bandages and loaded Calum onto a stretcher and into the ambulance.

"Before we go, we have to check you all out for any damage" Another paramedic said. Michael agreed to get checked first, then Ashton then lastly, Luke. Finding out they had no damage.

"Ok, who's coming in the ambulance with him?" A paramedic asked. Michael announced it would be him, and turning to Luke and Ashton saying "Meet us at the hospital", before heading onto the ambulance with Calum. Ashton drives him and Luke to the hospital, following the ambulance. Being a bit delayed because of all the traffic lights.

"Ash, do you think Calum will be ok?" Luke asked shakily, Ashton putting one hand on Luke's lap and keeping his other hand on the steering wheel.

"Luke, Calum is a survivor. He'll get through this" Ashton encouraged, finally turning into the hospital. He parked up and him and Luke ran into the waiting room looking for Michael. Ashton follows him in and they find Michael talking to a doctor. The two go over and listen to what the doctor is saying.

"As I said, Mr Hood is in ICU and you will not be able to see him at this moment, maybe in about an hour as we need to make sure he is stable and ready for visitors. Please take a seat until you are called forward." The doctor explained to Michael slightly annoyed, ignoring the other two standing a few feet behind the lad. Michael nodded, turning around in order to take a seat. He noticed the two standing and went over them, listening to what they were saying.

"Ash I'm scared of seeing Calum in the condition he is in. He will be okay right?" Luke asked Ashton, cuddling into his side.

"Luke he'll be fine. Remember what I said? He is a survivor. He won't want to give up the fight when he knows we are supporting him." Ashton encouraged, pulling Luke into a hug and rubbing his back.

"Awwww, I feel jealous now. I want a hug." Michael whined, pulling a fake pout.

"Okay then." Ashton said and moved one arm to let Michael in to join the group hug. It would make a group hug if they had Calum with them in the hug. A few hours passed, Ashton and Luke fell asleep cuddling each other whilst Michael was bored out of his mind. That was until a doctor came out into the waiting room asking for relatives for Calum.

"That's us." Michael said, standing up to go and talk to the doctor so he didn't wake the sleeping pair.

"Ok, you can go and see Calum, but on one condition. You will have to leave later though. We can't let you see him for long as you aren't his real family. He is still unconscious" The doctor announced and Michael was kinda furious. They were almost practically brothers to each other. How could they not be allowed to see him?

"Ok then" Michael said, not wanting to show any signs of being furious otherwise he would probably flip. Michael goes over to wake the other two, who moaned because of being woken up from their 'beauty' sleep.

"I'm sorry for waking you but we have to see Calum now and practically say goodbye as we can't see him. Well, not for long anyway" Michael insisted, pushing the two on the shoulders in an attempt to actually get them up.

"Why?" Ashton asked, opening his eyes, stretching and yawning.

"Because we're not family." Michael answered, repeating what the doctor had told him.

"But practically we are." Luke said, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.

"I know. I tried telling them that but they still said no." Michael sighed, as Ashton and Luke stood up and they all followed a doctor back. He opened a door to reveal an unconscious Calum laying down on the bed, bandages around his chest where the bullet had gone through. Luke felt like he would break down his tears because Calum looked like he was lifeless. And he wasn't trying to be mean.

The boys decided it would be best if they just said goodbye, hugged him and kissed him before they might possibly get kicked out for staying too long as they all had long messages for him. Plus they were all too tired to stay anyway. Well, mainly not Michael as he was wide awake, but Ashton and Luke because they were practically falling asleep on each other.

After leaving the hospital, Michael decided he would drive them back to hospital as Ashton couldn't because he would fall asleep driving. They didn't want them all to be in hospital so Michael drove. Just so they could get back safely. He knew the journey wouldn't be long. Once they got back the three headed up to their hotel rooms and crashed onto their beds, getting to sleep quickly so they had energy for the next few days.
