《5SOS Sickfics》Luke- Clutzy Giraffe

The lads of 5 Seconds Of Summer were in the middle of their second world tour, the Sounds Live Feels Live tour. They were having an awesome time, playing to thousands of fans each night was an amazing feeling. The lads were now en route to Belfast in their tour bus, Gus. At the moment they were playing a game of Fifa in the backroom, having a great game, Cake 3 - Mashton 4.
Before we go any further, I want to explain the problem that the lads, namingly Luke, had been having the past few months. Luke had been, how do I say this, a little Clumsy. He'd knocked over the guitar rack as he'd grabbed his guitar before their show in Sydney, he'd dropped multiple drinks and plates of food and even dropped his phone, as well as knocking Calum's out of his hand at the same time.
"Yes! We won!" Michael suddenly yelled as the game finished.
"You cheated!" Calum argued. "You had the two oldest on your team."
"Yeah, but Ashton dosent even like fifa, and we still won, soo..." Michael argued back.
"Yeah, whatever. I'm going to go get a glass of water." Luke announced.
"Be quick, we're gonna start a new game." Ashton responded.
"Will do." Luke replied as he exited the room. As Luke was daydreaming and walking down the bus (not a good match, might I add), he accidently walked into his guitar, knocks it over, smashing it in three and hits his head on the corner of a not-so-conveniently placed table, also whacking his arm pretty hard on the leg of it. He screamed as he saw blood.
"LUKE?!" Ashton hollered as he shot up from the couch and ran out of the room, the other two quick to follow him. Ashton fell to his knees next to Luke, instructing Michael to call an ambulance. Calum looked away, quite pale, as if he kept looking he would throw up.

"Are you okay, Luke?" Ashton queried gently, as he presses the corner of his t-shirt to the bleeding wound on Luke's forehead. Luke tried to nod but his right arm sent out a burst of pain, making him scream out instead. "MICHAEL HURRY UP WITH THAT DAMN AMBULANCE!!!"
"On its way." Michael notified as he entered the room, his phone in hand. "Do you have a towel on the wound? The woman says to put a towel on the wound and press down."
"Uhh no I.." Ashton started before Calum entered the room, chucking him a towel, which he switched out for his t-shirt, which was starting to get soaked. "Actually, I do now. Thanks Cal."
"No problem" Calum spoke, before swiftly walking to the other room as he turned pale again.
"I guess he doesn't like blood." Michael acknowledged.
"Yeah, I guess." Ashton agreed. Just then, two paramedics came in and asked Ashton some questions, before putting Luke on a stretcher, rushing him into an ambulance.
"Can I come with him?" Ashton asked, wanting to be sure Luke was going to be ok.
"Of course." One of the paramedics answered.
"Alright. Michael, you okay to drive yourself and Calum?" Ashton questions, looking between the two.
"Yeah sure." Michael told Ashton as the older boy followed Luke into the ambulance. The rush to the hospital was, well, a rush. Luke fainted halfway through and Ashton started panicking, but the paramedic calmed him down, reassuring him that Luke was going to be fine. When they got to the hospital Luke was rushed in and Ashton was asked to take a seat in the waiting room.
About 10 minutes later, Michael and Calum burst through the hospital doors and scanned the room, spotting Ashton quickly. They rushed over and bombarded Ashton with questions, which he attempted to answer but honestly, he had no idea himself so he gave up after about 15 pointless questions.

"I really don't know anything guys, we'll just have to wait." Ashton informed the two, getting them to sit down on his right. Around half an hour later, a doctor comes out asking for friends and relatives of Luke Hemmings. The three stood up and went over to the doctor.
"Is he ok?" Michael asked first.
"Yes he is fine he just has had some stitches, and he has also broken his right arm, so we put it in a cast. He is awake but quite tired." The doctor explained as the trio went to his room. As they came in they saw Luke sitting up in bed with a blue cast watching the hospital tv.
"Hey, buddy." Ashton soothed. Luke shot his head around, and a big smile formed on his face.
"Ashton! Mikey! Calum!" He grinned.
It took Luke a while, but he finally healed and was soon ready to rock out on stage again... and beat Mashton at Fifa!

Collective Thinking
Dyna Graves grew up thinking she was special. An exception to the average. Not necessarily above her peers, but simply outside their context. However, toward the end of her high school life, she started to realize that nobody was really special. At least not in any fantastical way. Just as she started trying to figure out what she wanted to do with the rest of her life, she got an invitation. A psychic institute scoped her out, realized her psychic potential, and asked if she would undergo psionic training at the Carroll Institute. Almost immediately, Dyna realized that she wasn’t quite up to the same level as many of her peers. Surrounded by clairvoyants and mind readers displaying obvious abilities made her own lack of ability all the more apparent. That was, up until the researchers and scientists of the facility realized that there was a bit more to Dyna Graves than met the eye. After an explosive incident during what should have been a routine experiment, Dyna quickly found herself wrapped up in a world of cutthroat espionage. The story can also be viewed on my website, https://www.towercurator.com/collective-thinking/. Cover art by Zoern.

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.

Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.
