《5SOS Sickfics》ALM- Stupid Stomach
Advertisement
The city was quiet, most people would have been sleeping in their beds... most people. In the dark of the hotel room, Ashton awoke with a painful ache in his stomach, sweat beginning to form on his forehead as he tossed and turned on his bed. He groaned, in both annoyance and pain as he threw the covers off of himself, sitting up. He scanned the room to see Calum, Luke and Michael all sleeping soundly. He sat for a moment, trying to find some sort of position to relieve a bit of the pain, but to no avail.
His eyes widened, the feeling of yesterday's dinner rising apparent, leaving him stumbling towards the bathroom. If he had had any more time, he would have closed the door out of courtesy to the boys who were still sleeping peacefully in their beds. Ashton tried to quieten the sounds of himself retching in the brightly lit bathroom. His eyes watered from both the sudden contrast of dark to light and the soreness of his throat as he emptied the contents of his stomach.
All the while, Michael is startled in his sleep as he hears the patter of feet on the carpeted floors. He winced as he opened his eyes, the bathroom lights too bright for his liking. He slid off his bed, rubbing his eyes as he walked into the bathroom, shocked to see Ashton leaning over the toilet, breathing heavily.
"Ash? Oh, not you too." Michael sighed, now all four of them were sick now. He rubbed his face in annoyance, before the strong scent of vomit became overwhelming for him. Michael dropped to his knees, Ashton is pushed to the side slightly as he does exactly what Ashton had been doing only a mere five minutes ago. Ashton rubs his eyes, patting Michael's back as he continues to vomit.
"I'm sorry, Mikey. I didn't mean to make you sick too." Ashton whined, pinching his nose to block out some of the pungent smell. Michael stops, the room becoming silent as he wipes his mouth with the sleeve of his jumper. Ashton stands, flushing the mess the two had made away before helping Michael to his feet. The two shuffle from the bathroom to the bedroom, the room becoming dark once again. Both pull the covers over themselves, only to be blinded by the bathroom light once again.
"Who is it now?" Ashton groaned, as he followed the person into the bathroom. Luke is sat in the same position as Michael and Ashton had been, his groans and coughs filling the air. Michael joins Ashton by the door to the bathroom, slowly closing it to deter the smell.

"It's alright, Luke. Let it all out, buddy." Michael encouraged, his voice hoarse and throat sore. Ashton refused to speak, the rawness of his throat too much for him. "Luke, you have to let it out if you want to feel better." Michael consoled, opening the door slightly.
Luke was sitting beside the toilet, his hair a ruffled mess and tears staining his cheeks. Michael opened the bathroom door, helping Luke up before flushing the toilet once again. He helped the blonde-haired boy over to the basin, turning the faucet on and waiting for Luke to wash his face. Once the two left the bathroom for the second time that morning, Ashton told them that it was now a little past 7am.
Ashton instructed the two to go back to sleep and not long after all three are fast asleep. At around 8am, Calum was up, a smile on his face as he realised that he was feeling much better than he had before. He saw that the other lads were not in their beds and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He made his way over to the bathroom, the sounds of Michael being his sick self emitting through the door, and once it was opened, Calum shut it again quickly.
"Are you all sick?" He asked, pressing his ear against the cool surface of the door. There were murmurs of 'yes' and 'we're sorry' from inside and Calum opened the door again. Both Ashton and Michael were at the sink, washing their faces whilst Luke was sitting against the toilet, his eyes closed. "Alright, come on, Luke. Let's get you cleaned up and then I'll get you guys some food." Calum pulled Luke up to his feet and hobbles over to the sink as Ashton and Michael move aside.
Soon all three boys were showered, their teeth brushed and dressed in fresh, clean clothes. Calum tried to convince the boys to eat, but they refused anything out of fear that they'd start vomiting again. Eventually Calum gave up, putting them back to bed. But the three couldn't get to sleep so Calum tried again with the food, claiming it would help them go to sleep. Eventually he convinced them so Calum headed to the kitchen and microwaved the leftover soup from yesterday, as well as a stray chicken noodle for Mike, before returning it to the lads in bowls.
Michael was the first to get up, rushing to the bathroom after only a few spoonfuls. Calum shouted to ask whether he needed any help, but Mike refused the help, claiming that Calum needed to watch the other two. Calum stayed on the bed, looking over at the bathroom door every time he heard Michael retch. Eventually Michael returned to the bed, flopping down next to Calum and Calum was relived to see that he looked slightly more relaxed than he had when he had tried to go to sleep before.

Calum helped Michael under the covers to go to sleep. As he was standing back up, he felt someone pass him and heard footsteps headed towards the bathroom. Calum told Michael to watch over Ashton and vice versa as he went to the bathroom. When he got inside, he was straight away onto his knees next to Luke, who was puking violently into the toilet bowl. Calum rubbed circles onto Luke's back as he retched and belched, whispering comforts into his ear.
Eventually Luke finished being sick and Calum helped him up, cleaning him up and flushing the toilet. He helped Luke back to the bed, where Ashton was now sleeping peacefully, Michael doing the same in the other bed, and set him down, hoping for him to do the same as the other two. Within 15 minutes Luke was out and Calum sat on his side of the bed that Michael was on, rubbing his temples and drinking some water as an attempt to get rid of the small headache he had.
Calum set himself up so he was in a sitting position with his pillows behind his back and grabbed Ashton's laptop, as he hadn't brought his own, opening it up and placing it on top of his blanket covered legs, holding his now cool soup in his hands as he started to watch some youtube videos. Calum continued watching youtube videos like the Katy Perry and Harry Styles carpool karaokes for an hour and a half until he hears groaning to his right.
Calum looked over to see Ashton sat on the edge on the bed, his head in his hands as he was rubbing at his temples quite roughly, occasionally pressing on his stomach. Calum went over and sat next to Ashton.
"Hey, what's wrong Ash?" Calum questioned, earning a groan in reply. "Your head and your stomach hurting?"
"An mi troat." Ashton croaked out, pointing at his throat.
"So your head, your stomach and your throat are hurting?" Calum asked, Ashton nodding in return. "Okay, I got some stuff just in case of this earlier. I'll go get it."
Calum walked over to the other side of the room, grabbing a plastic chemist bag off of the table, returning to Ash. He grabbed out some pain medication and some throat lozenges, giving the 2 of the pain medication to Ash, who drank them with water. He then gave Ashton the throat lozenges before heading back to the other bed while Ashton went back to sleep.
About 3 hours later the three lads were still asleep and Calum was getting a little peckish so he decided that it was about time he ordered room service, since there wasn't any soup left over. He picked up the phone and ordered 4 pea and ham soups. He then started waking up the lads. He woke Michael up pretty easily by ruffling his hair for a few minutes. He woke Luke up by tickling him. He woke Ashton up last, who groaned loudly.
"You alright there Ash?" Calum asked, getting a nod in return as Ashton sat up. There was a knock at the door and Calum went to answer it. He brought the trolley with the soups on it into the room, thanking the man and giving him a tip, despite not needing to. Calum distributed the soups, each boy thanking him as he went. He sat down and ate some of his own, waiting with angst for one of the lads to run to the bathroom.
As thought, the stampede did happen. Luke and Michael got up at the same time, both rushing to the bathroom. Michael made it, since he was closest but Luke didn't, ending with him throwing up on the hotel room floor. Calum went over to help Luke, a bag in his hands. Ashton could hear Michael throwing up in the bathroom. Suddenly there was a clunk, which Calum missed because he was too busy with Luke. Ashton went over to investigate, his head pounding, but his pain was temporarily forgotten when he saw Michael.
