《A Normal Day... | Monster Girls X Male Reader》20. A New Land

In a matter of what seemed like seconds, you were free falling. Which was strange considering you were at home less then 5 seconds ago. But back to the death defying drop.
(Y/N): "OH FUCKKKKKKK"
This was it. This is how you die. Not by some unhinged half-naked snake perv, an irritating cat girl with attachment issues or a literal fucking hellhound. No, gravity was about to be your undoing. In less than a minute you'll be nothing but a red smear on this lovely green hillside that kinda looks like the Windows XP background.
As the distance between you and the ground rapidly decreased, you shut your eyes and mutter a final prayer.
(Y/N): "God, please delete my search history"
????: "What's a search history?"
Huh?
Opening your eyes again you notice that you're now in the clutches of a dragon. OK, cool.
The mysterious girl had you suspended mere inches above the ground by her large talons, and she just let your hover there for what felt like an eternity.
(Y/N): "Uhhhh, could you let me go?"
Dragon: "Okay!"
And with that, you hit face first into the ground. Taking a second to regain your bearings, you reflect on what the fuck the last 20 minutes were. Or, you were about to before you felt something prod your cheek.
Dragon: "Uhhh mister? Are you alive?"
(Y/N): "Unfortunately..."
You manage to grumble out a single word before finally opening your eyes, only to be met with the dragon centimetres from your face. The first thing you notice is the purple vortex in the sky dissipating before completely vanishing.
(Y/N): "What happened? Where am I? Who are you? How did I get here?"
The dragon just shrugged, that same clueless look never leaving her face.
Dragon: "I have no idea! I was just chasing this bird I saw like I do every other day and then this massive thing opens up in the sky and it starts spitting out trees and plants and books and its all like whoosh bang crac-"

You mentally tune out her dopey ramblings in order to preserve your sanity. Averting your gaze you notice that you're in a field, but it's definitely not earth, as evident by how clean and natural everything was. That and the fairies were a dead giveaway. Yeah, fairies. This definitely wasn't home.
Rubbing your head to ease the pain you finally look back at the dragon.
Dragon: "and that's how you catch a baby chimera!"
Before you could respond, the sky begins to swirl and crack again, before another vortex appears, notably smaller than the original, spitting out a small pendent directly into your lap before collapsing in on itself again.
Taking the pendant in your hands your examine it, noticing the etching of a glyph on the front. It looked oddly familiar.
Dragon: "Woahh, cool! You can summon jewellery? Why can't I do that..."
Before you can even have time to analyse the glyph the dragon snatches the pendent out of your hands and starts excitedly fumbling with it.
Dragon: "What does it do? And what's this funky design on it? Oooo can you create me one? I want a magic pendent"
Sheesh, she's even more of an airhead than Kat, and that's saying something.
Dragon: "EEK"
In an instant she launches it at your forehead, causing it to collide.
(Y/N): "AH! What the fuck was that for?"
Dragon: "You didn't tell me it was alive!"
(Y/N): "What are you talking about? It's a necklace!"
Dragon: "Yeah, a necklace that glows and can talk! Did you turn someone into a necklace? Are you going to turn me into a necklace? Please Mr Wizard don't turn me into a necklace"
She sinks to her knees and begins to plead. Completely ignoring her, you pick up the discarded necklace and put it on, up placing it around your neck you hear an all to familiar voice.

Scathach: "Hello? (Y/N)? Anyone?"
(Y/N): "Scath?"
Scathach: "Praise the old gods, he's alive."
You vaguely hear sighs of relief and cheering in the background.
(Y/N): "Scath where am I? What the fuck just happened?"
The tension in the air was palpable as you eagerly awaited her response.
Scathach: "From what I'm seeing here, you've crossed into the dimension I originally came from. Zcerra (A/N: couldn't think of a fantasy-ish name so role with it) It's a place of magic and war. Kinda like that one videogame you showed me, Skyrim I think."
Great. You're stranded in a world of magic and swords, what else could go wrong.
(Y/N): "Great, so how do I get back?"
Scathach: "I... I don't know. The spell was supposed to open a portal to my old keep, instead it spat you out hundred of miles away and shut itself."
(Y/N): "So can't you open another one?"
Scathach: "Technically, yes. But I can only do it once more, and I cant risk it closing again and trapping you. Give me some time to figure out a plan. And please, stay safe.."
And just like that, the pendent stopped glowing.
Dragon: "Woah, you can talk to jewellery!"
Uhhhh, I forgot she was here.
Slowly climbing to your feet, you brush yourself off before taking in the breathtaking landscape, and then finally turning to the dragongirl.
(Y/N): "I guess I owe you my life, y'know, since you stopped me from turning into a skid mark"
You anxiously rub the back of your head.
(Y/N): "So, do you have a name?"
Dragon: "A name?"
She asked, a puzzled look adorning her face. She was obviously confused at your question.
(Y/N): "Uhh yeah, like what do I call you."
Dragon: "OH! You can call me-"
She begins to utter something in a language you've never heard of. Yeah, you weren't even going to attempt to try and pronounce that.
(Y/N): "Uhhh great, I'll just call you... Maria?"
Saying the first name you thought of wasn't such a great idea since you just named her after a fucking bloodborne boss.
Maria: "Ma-ree-uh?"
(Y/N): "Maria."
An excited smile graces her face as she flaps her wings and torpedoes into you, giving your a backbreaking hug.
Maria: "I love it!!!"
You tap her on the back, gasping for air as she almost inadvertently suffocates you.
What a fucked up day.

Musings of a Hypocrite
Mortals are weird. They insisted in unity, as well as individualism. More often than not, they're shocked at truth and honesty, but not at falsehood and deceit. They asked questions with multiple answers, and provided answers that begged other questions. They made things to break, they destroyed things to study, they researched things to recreate. Humans, Elves, Beastmen. All of them. Within these contradictions, a miracle might manifest. But this tended to work with a trial and error methodology. Most mortals never got the happy ending. This diary is my journey alongside a few students of mine. In simple terms - they learn, they grow, they fight. They'll journey through centuries of conflict, from the physical to the educational. They'll experience the cruelty and benelovence of all living-kind. They'll experience the consequences of their choices and the blessings of their rewards. They will grow to become useful to me, or die trying like all the others. As for you? The god reading our lives like a book, sitting in your chair without a care in the world?
