Though only thirty-one days away from her due date, Chris and Denise had plans to travel to New York for Sebastian and Luca's wedding. It wasn't one of their best ideas, but the wedding was one they could not miss. Despite that, Chris had still been pretty reluctant about the trip- to the point that if it wasn't Sebastian and Luca's wedding, he would've rather they stayed in Los Angeles. However he was smart enough to keep that to himself, knowing it would've only ended in an argument if he were to voice it. But still, Denise knew; she might've been pregnant but she wasn't oblivious. Since Sebastian and Luca announced the date of their wedding, Chris had been guilefully trying to convince them to change it. It was because his priority was his wife that made it hard for him to understand why the wedding had to be so close to her due date. But Denise, having gotten married while she was pregnant too, understood. They didn't want to wait until Luca was too pregnant, nor did they want their son to be born out of wedlock. Denise was fine with the wedding date, she admitted that it was a little risky but that was her best friend; there was no other option.

Unfortunately, neither husband nor doctor shared that level of loyalty because they instantly shot down her idea to forge the papers and fake her due date so she could get on a plane to New York. Even though she wasn't at risk of preterm labor, she was not to get on a plane. But determined to make it to Sebastian and Luca's wedding, they turned to the road as an alternate choice of travel. After deliberating their vehicular options, they decided on an RV as it was the most comfort for the very pregnant Denise. Chris then hired a chauffeur and together, they sorted out the best route to New York. The plan was that they would leave Los Angeles ten days before the wedding, driving through the days, and stopping at motels and B&Bs when night fell.

Both Chris' and Denise's families had also been invited to the wedding, and though all of them could've easily gotten on a plane to New York- the two mothers opted for the RV, just so their children had backup in case anything happened during their road trip. On the 4th of February, Lisa and Tina arrived in Hollywood Hills, packed, pumped, and ready to join Chris and Denise on their long, long drive.

The journey was surprisingly pleasant to all. It probably was due to the fact that Chris hired Vince, a professional who had devised the perfect route. The couple had also gone shopping so the RV would be stocked with all their favorite snacks and candies. There was also proper food, but their moms had brought that on. It amazed them that their children were going to be parents soon, considering how kiddish they still were. If Lisa and Tina hadn't accompanied Chris and Denise on their trip, the couple would've been stuck with gummi bears, jelly beans, sweet potato chips, white chocolate, cookies and cream ice-cream, and God only knew what else. It had been a blur at the grocery store, they were too excited about the road trip to remember that Denise was pregnant and needed real food. 'Go on a Road Trip' was another thing they could now cross off their bucket lists. Chris had been wanting to go on one since he heard the idea on Anna Faris' podcast all those years ago.

The RV was also loaded with all Denise's favorite Disney movies, music, and board games, so while Lisa and Tina talked and occupied themselves with their own forms of entertainment- Chris and Denise did everything else. It was fun, until it wasn't. Thankfully, Vince had a few good places to stop at so the four didn't go crazy trapped in an RV. There were a few places they'd stopped at that Denise had never been before, but quickly fell in-love with: Santa Fe, Saint Louis, and Charleston. There were also a couple of B&Bs that they would've never found if it weren't for the road trip, so there was a silver lining to their unnecessarily long travels. Chris and Denise decided they'd go back if they ever needed a short getaway or long holiday, except the next time on a plane and with their son. Long road trips were fun, but they weren't something one did every other week. Other than the trip back, Denise wasn't going to ever do it again as long as planes existed. It was an easy chorus of agreement from all her travel companions.

However, the drive proved worth when they arrived and saw their two best friends. After the rehearsal dinner with Sebastian and Luca's inner circle of family and friends, Chris and Denise remained behind to chat and eat the last of the desserts with the soon-to-be bride and groom. After all that time searching for the perfect location, Sebastian and Luca scored a luxurious B&B out on Long Island to host their wedding. The whole place had been reserved so the couple and their guests could have the privacy they wanted, as well as the option to stay at the location if they wanted to. It truly was a beautiful place, there was no doubt that it wouldn't be a beautiful wedding.

"Let's just agree that in our next lives, we all get married before we start on babies." Denise said after she and Chris finished telling Sebastian and Luca about their road trip experience. Everyone at the table laughed, nodding their heads in simultaneous agreement. "Oh God, I just remembered," she groaned when she remembered. "We still have the drive back," she whined, leaning into a chuckling Chris.

Sebastian tried not to laugh, but he couldn't help it. "We are so sorry." It was very sweet what Chris and Denise were doing to accommodate their wedding, especially considering how pregnant Denise was. He was glad they were already married, otherwise it would've been him and Luca stuck in an RV. "We really do appreciate your attendance though, there wouldn't even be a wedding if it weren't for the two of you."

"Literally," Luca affirmed with a nod. "We never would've even met."

"Yeah, so one would think the two of you would be more grateful and have the wedding after Denise gives birth." Chris bit playfully and Denise laughed, giving his stomach a light slap; Sebastian and Luca chuckled in response, sharing a glance. "No," he smiled, "of course. We are honored to be here, truly. It's crazy to think how fast these past three years have flown by, it's like-" he snapped his fingers, "gone."

"The past eight months too." Denise smoothed her hand over her belly and smiled when she felt a light kick. "We're going to be parents in one month, baby." She turned her head and met Chris' gaze, smiling when he pecked her lips. "Let's hope you don't do anything too surprising, Jack Jack." She gave her belly a light pat. "We don't want you to crash your godparents' wedding, nor do we want you to be a RV baby."

"You're fine," Chris smiled, giving his wife's arm a light rub. "Dr. McCullough said you're not at risk for a preterm." Denise nodded, remembering the conversation she'd with her doctor. "I would've never brought you here if you were, wedding or no wedding." He finally admitted, drawing scoffs all around. "You'd do the exact same if the roles were reversed, Seb."

"Oh, the exact same, absolutely," Sebastian nodded, looking over at Luca with a smile.

Denise and Luca shared a weary glance, rolling their eyes at their overprotective men. They had a point though, if Denise had been at risk for a preterm- there was no way the trip would've happened. Either they would've changed their wedding date or the location, or Denise would've missed the wedding. It was just a wedding. Sebastian and Luca would rather Denise miss that than put Jack at risk. If anything were to have happened to him because of them, they would have never been able to forgive themselves.

Chris glanced at the clock when he saw Denise yawn while poking at her half-eaten chocolate tart. "I think it's time to call it a night," he took his arm off her chair and slipped his hand into hers. "Can we trust the two of you to sleep in separate rooms, or do I have to get the guys up here to take you to your room and escort Luca to hers?"

"I think we'll managed," Sebastian laughed.

That was what Chris had hoped to hear, it wasn't like the guys were able to do much considering how wasted they were all getting at the bar. It was all of Sebastian's groomsmen, as well as all the other male friends and family members. There were a rowdy bunch, much like Chris' had been the night before his and Denise's wedding, which made sense when half of them were from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sebastian also had his 'Gym Mafia' guys, as well as his cast mates from his days on 'The Covenant' and 'Gossip Girl'- Chace Crawford being the constant, having acted in both with Sebastian. The guys had asked Chris and Sebastian to join them, but they'd declined claiming they'd much rather end their night with their loves on a quiet note. Sebastian didn't even want a bachelor's party, nor did Luca a bachelorette's party. Instead they did what Chris and Denise were told they couldn't and spent their night together having a nice, romantic dinner. In their defense, all that happened a couple weeks before the wedding and not the night before; they were still being forced to spend that one apart.

"Alright, goodnight then. We'll see the two of you tomorrow," Chris squeezed Sebastian's shoulder as he led Denise towards the exit. Denise smiled at Luca who kissed the pad of her fingers to blow her best friend a kiss goodnight. The couple headed for their suite upstairs, leaving the engaged with the alone time they'd been waiting the entire night for.

"How do you feel about becoming Mrs. Stan tomorrow?"

"My initials doesn't change so I'm feeling quite fortunate," Luca quipped and Sebastian laughed, taking her hand to kiss the back. "I'm excited," she wrapped her fingers around his hand, squeezing gently. "I've been excited since you proposed. Now the day is actually here, and we're having a son." She smiled, resting her other hand on her belly. "We've got everything now, Seb."

"I got everything when I met you, Luca Safford," Sebastian told her, mirroring her widening smile. He leaned forward, and with his lips inches from hers- he whispered, "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, beautiful" then kissed her tenderly.
