Calum and Luke had been home alone. Michael and Ashton had left to a interview. Calum had woken before Luke which was weird but Calum just decided to just make breakfast.

"Cal?" He heard Luke whimper from the staircase. Calum looked up.

"I don't feel so good." Luke said sadly.

"Come here Lukey." Calum said and opened his eyes. Luke walked to him and hugged him.

"What's wrong?" Calum asked.

"My neck hurts and my head." Luke said. Calum hummed and started massaging Luke's sore neck.

"You're pretty warm Lukey." Calum said and tried to pull away from Luke but Luke was always clingy when he was sick and he didn't wanted to let Calum go.

"Luke... sit on the counter, I'll be back alright?"

Luke nodded and sat on the counter. Calum left to get the thermometer and slide it under Luke's tongue when he came back.

"102.3" Calum read out as the thermometer beeped. Luke chocked our a cry. Calum hugged him and shushed him softly.

"Let's get you back to bed alright?" Calum asked and Luke nodded. Calum carried Luke back to his bed.

"Don't leave." Luke whimpered.

"Shhh..." Calum shushed and laid next to Luke. Luke rested his head against Calum's shoulder and Calum googled Luke's symptoms.

"Meningitis?" Calum mumbled and looked at Luke who was sleeping on his shoulder. He scrolled through the website.

"He can die!" Calum thought to himself. He then shook Luke awake.

"Come on Lukey, we are going to the doctor." Calum said and helped Luke up. Luke whined and Calum gave him a small kiss on his warm forehead. Calum carried Luke to the car and drive with him to the hospital.

Luke was taken in quickly. The doctors followed him to a room and asked him to lay on the hospital bed which he did.

"Okay Luke, I need to do a spinal tap on you okay? So you gotta lay on your side and pull your knees to your chest." The doctor told Luke. Luke did as told and Calum grabbed his hands.

The doctor lifted his shirt and cleaned the area before pushing the needle into his spine and Luke cried out.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow." Luke cried. Calum shushed him. The doctor quickly filled the tubes and pulled the needle out. Luke stayed in the position though. He didn't want to move. The doctor went to the lab with the test and Calum and Luke waited for about 20 minutes before she came back.

"Luke you got meningitis. It's not a bad case so we will give you some antibiotics and then you'll be good to go." She smiled. Calum was relieved that it wasn't too bad. The doctor prepared an IV, and Luke's veins. Luke let out a chocked cry as she put the needle in his arm, but the medicine made him tired and he was knocked out fast. Calum then realized that Ashton and Michael had no idea what was going on so he decided to call them.

All of the boys stayed at the hospital for a week before Luke was ready to go home,
