your hero suit is above!
________________________
You sat on your balcony, feeling the morning dew rush over the streets of Tokyo.
Rain stuck to the metal railing and roof, drops falling down the sides every once in a while. You wafted the smoke off the top of the mug of coffee with an exhale. It was nice to have a relaxing day for once, as you were a full-time hero.
A deep breath in let all the cool, cold air enter your lungs. It was oddly refreshing. You sipped the liquid, reclining in your seat, cars zooming by your condo.
Suddenly, your phone vibrated in your pocket. You sighed, praying it wouldn't be related to work before picking up your phone.
"Heyo, (Y/N)!" Your manager begin to say, trying to sound extra cheerful. It made you groan.
"Just cut to the chase..." You said bluntly, quickly finishing your coffee with a scornful face. Your manager nervously chuckled and apologized, before continuing.
"Listen, I know it's your day off but this is an emergency. Two high-level threats have been spotted down in Chofu; an area where there are really never any threats. This raised a lot of red flags for the agency and we're gonna need you to look into it." He explained in a long breath, slightly panting after the lengthy explanation. You scratched your chin, feeling furious deep, deep down.
Your one day off, ruined by an emergency.
"What do I get out of this, Cherry?" You said to her, grimacing as you walked inside with your mug, heading to the kitchen.
"...How about you get the weekend off?" She said cheekily. You almost tripped on the tiled floors, yelping.
"I'll get changed now and send an update in 30 minutes, bye now!" You rambled before hanging up, throwing your mug into the sink. It made a loud bang and you flinched as you scrambled into your bedroom, grabbing your hero suit.
"Why did I choose latex out of all materials..." You grunted angrily, fitting into your extremely tight suit. Finally, you managed to slip into it. You grabbed your keys, phone, and tied your hair before running into the hallway, locking your door behind you.
You texted your manager in the elevator, asking for the location as you tapped your foot. Someone else stood in the elevator as far as possible from you, glaring with wide eyes.

"What...?" You asked, tilting your head with furrowed eyebrows and a glower. The elevator opened, making you turn. You stuck your tongue out at the man and waved childishly before dashing to your motorcycle.
You put your keys into the motorcycle, twisting them as you felt a thump in the distance. It made you jump as you looked around, feeling the vibration come closer and closer.
Out of nowhere, a mob of countless rat-looking villains ran past your street, appearing to be running from something. They all looked deformed; either their faces were swollen in weird places or their body shapes were just disgustingly weird to you.
Your manager sent you your location as you hopped off your motorcycle, and you sighed.
"I don't think I need the location anymore..." You giggled to yourself quietly, before trying to get serious.
You closed your eyes, imagining a bird.
And when you opened your eyes, you were taking off into the sky as a raven.
You saw the pack of villains from below, watching as they stumbled over each other, sprinting away from what seemed to be something... but what?
You swooped down once you seemed to be in front of the pack, shape-shifting into your normal form again. The one in the front almost fell over in shock at your presence.
"Move, or you die!" The villain at the front said, growling loudly.
"Why're you so anxious? I'm just a lowly hero anyways." You said with a smug look on your face, trying to buy time for whoever they were so afraid of, clearly.
He groaned, the rat's crooked teeth showing as he leaned back with displeasure.
As he did so, you noticed a figure running down the block... extremely fast. You couldn't identify who it was, but there seemed to be a streak of green trailing behind its movements. You took the moment to shape-shift into a cheetah.
You noticed your bones and muscles become lighter as you transformed, wondering if it was because a cheetah was so fast.
As the rat began to laugh at you with his eyes closed, you pounced on him, scratching your talons against his stomach diagonally. He grunted, opening his eyes and looking down at you with surprise and fear.
The rats were silent, before surrounding you immediately. You'd just killed their leader...
You opened your palms, feeling your talons extend and grow larger. Your talons scratched across the faces of all of the villains; you jumped off the corpse of one and hopped onto another, scratching... and scratching... and scratching.

Abruptly a flash of green was before you, and you felt a punch to your gut. The jab hurt like nothing you'd ever experienced before; it was almost as if ten people hit you at once.
You fell over, whimpering in pain as it was all you could possibly do in your form.
The flash of a person continued to take out the remainder of the villains before stopping in its steps and wiping its forehead.
Only then did you realized it was Deku, the number one hero, who'd punched you in the gut.
He went over to you, looking down upon you. You realized that he was looking at a cheetah right now, and came to the realization that he'd probably punched you because he couldn't tell what you were.
"Are you gonna hurt me?" He purred at you as if you were an animal...
You transformed back, sitting up very slowly. He yelled very loudly, tripping over a corpse you'd taken out. Katsuki sat up, eyes wide.
But yours were even wider.
It was Deku for fucks sake; your idol!
"I-I believe you punched me, Deku..." You said with a smile, laughing. But the laughing turned to coughing rather quickly, blood coming out of your mouth and into your hand.
He was frozen for a moment, registering what'd happened before scrambling to his feet.
"Oh my God, I-I'm so sorry! Let me take you to the hospital, oh lord... Where does it hurt? I'm sure I hit with 15 percent, I might've broke something then, shit..." He rambled loudly, clutching his head.
For the number one hero, you'd expected someone who'd worry less...
But you found it cute, in its own weird way.
"Yeah, I should probably go to the hospital... my ribs don't really feel right." You admitted, trying to stand up. He ran to you, wrapping your arm around his shoulders.
"I fucked up, didn't I?" He said, glancing at you as the two of you left the bodies in the street. You looked over at him, simply shocked that this entire thing was happening.
You were silent for a little bit too long, simply blinking at him before realizing how long you'd been silent.
"O-Oh shoot, sorry! I'm just... sorta surprised that you're even in front of me right now." You said, scratching your cheek with an embarrassed blush. He looked down, the tip of his ears growing pink at the subtle praise.
"Don't say that, I'm just a normal hero..." He said quietly, before realizing he didn't even know your name. The two of you were nearing your condo soon.
"I only save people, it's just my job."
You felt like a child again, remembering those times that you'd watched TV and saw Deku on the news saving so many lives. You remembered it all. He'd been your everything: your inspiration, your role model, everything to you.
Tears fell down your cheeks as the realization hit you, finally.
"Are you okay?! Does it hurt badly?" He noticed your tears, eyes frantically looking around before he decided it'd be best to just carry you so you wouldn't have to waste energy.
You hid your face, wiping your tears while you exhaled.
"Listen... I know I'm hurt and all that but can you put me down so I can give you a hug?" He stopped in his path, eyebrows furrowing as he heard your broken words. Deku put you down, confused as hell.
"Why would you want t-"
You hugged him with immense force, burrowing your face into his shoulder. Deku froze, reddening as he hugged you back shakily.
"I'm honored to be punched by you, Deku." You said quietly, chuckling. He put his chin on your head, laughing quietly as you sniffled.
"Y-You were... great out there, you know? I barely had to do anything today." He said, letting you go with his blush very apparent now. You looked up at him, feeling a rush of adrenaline from the compliment.
"Alright, let's get to the hospital now." You said, thankful that your adrenaline didn't let you feel the pain too much.
He nodded, picking you up with ease again. You felt weightless in his arms as he walked along the sidewalk, surprised.
"Thanks for caring..." You said quietly, kissing him on the cheek.
The poor boy practically dropped you.

Sometimes my voice dies in my throat, buries itself beneath waves of crippling suffocation, burns itself out as cold hands tear at my laced skin. I have smiled while my eyes have cried and pleaded, my wrists numb, my lips wobbling and blue, and stars escaping this dark night that I'm trapped in. I long for a darkness that gives way to light. But I do feel the warmth of petals gathering and scattering in my cold bones, and imagine the touch and the sweetness of a kiss, and my heart rises to the surface of this sea and finds a sky painted by passing artists remaining far above our heads. I'm breathing out all the words I've kept locked under the pages of my breaking mind. And by doing so, I'm going to heal.TRIGGER WARNINGS: depression, anxiety, self harm, suicidal thoughts, OCD, panic attacks
