"Guess what, Bakugo?" Katsuki's mother asked, washing the dishes. He swallowed the spoon of warm soup, letting it slide down his throat before speaking.
"What?" Bakugo growled impatiently. His mother only rolled her eyes, before continuing. He took another spoon of the soup, lifting it into his mouth.
"(Y/N) is back in town!" She exclaimed, the tiniest smirk on her face. Bakugo choked on his soup, coughing. He hastily drank some water, eyes as wide as possible.
"(Y-Y/N)..?" Bakugo muttered. He hadn't heard her name in years.
"Yep! I knew you two had a thing going on, so I thought you'd be happy to-"
"Stop, please!" Bakugo yelled over her, slightly embarrassed. His mother chuckled, returning to washing the dishes.
"Do you want me to call her mom and see if you can visit her?" She asks, back turned to him.
"Sure, I guess..." Bakugo responded, finishing the soup. He stood up, placing the soup in the sink while his mother called (Y/N)'s parents.
Bakugo went to the living-room, sitting on the empty couch.
What would he even do when he saw her again? Thoughts raced through his mind too quickly for him to even comprehend, himself.
Would she hate my usual behavior and not speak to me like she used to? Bakugo fidgeted with his fingers; he'd never been so confused over how to act around somebody else.
"Bakugo!" His mother yelled. Katsuki instantly stood up, peering out of the door.
"(Y/N) isn't home right now, but they said that she was taking a stroll in the old playground if you'd like to-" The slam of the door made her stop talking. She returned to washing dishes, a playful smile on her lips.
Bakugo walked hastily towards the park across the street from his home. His eyes darted all over the playground in search of her.

The fallen autumn leaves crunched under his boots as he strolled along the concrete path, observing the naked trees spread throughout the park.
Trees...
Suddenly, he had remembered. He remembered the familiar hollow trunk he'd carved their names into when they were little. As he strolled to the tree, his heart-rate quickened with anxiety.
Bakugo turned the corner, stopping when he had seen the tree. You were crouched down, running your fingers along the carving with a tiny smile.
"You still remembered that?" The voice startled you. You turned around to see someone looking down upon you. As you studied their features more closely, you recognized the familiar face.
You stood up, observing his features. His crimson eyes still had that familiar hue of intensity within them. You didn't realize how much you had missed him until he was right in front of you.
"Of course I would!" Bakugo faltered. Your voice was almost identical to how it was years ago.
Back then, you were cute in your own child-like way. But now you were simply beautiful in Bakugo's eyes. You grew up and turned into a woman.
He didn't know what to do or say. So, you spoke up instead.
"I-It's been a while, hasn't it?" She nervously said, chuckling. He nodded, wondering if he should just be honest with her.
Ah, fuck it. He thought.
"I missed you." He bluntly said, a tinge of color appearing on his cheek. Your face morphed into one of a familiar childish grin.
"I did too!" You chirped, slightly embarrassed to say it out loud. He realized that his heart had fluttered in the slightest; almost nothing had changed.
"Hey, can I ask you a question?" You said, as you peered into the empty trunk. Bakugo scratched his head, curious.

"Sure, I guess." Bakugo agreed, arching an eyebrow.
"How'd you get so handsome?" You poked him several times, teasing him. Bakugo stiffened, making you laugh quietly.
"Shut up, dork." He sneered at you, eyebrows furrowing. You giggled, before pouting.
"Aww, I made you mad..." You paused for emphasis.
"How can I make it up to you?" Your eyebrows wiggled playfully, making Bakugo snicker as softly as the autumn winds blowing through the eerie and empty playgrounds. He couldn't contain the joy that he had at the moment; but he didn't mind.
"A date?" He proposed, unsure if what he had said was the right thing to do.
"Sure, why not!"

Sustaining the King's Life
On a secluded mountain situated upon a kingdom known as Feuersturm, resides a seemingly trifling cabin with an unlikely duo as its inhabitant—a witch, and her apprentice who presumably comes from a clan sought after by slave traders. Faustina is a sixteen-year-old girl who fled the slave market with the help of a sickly witch named Eula, who later on trained her as an apprentice for the span of seven years. Plagued with a mysterious disease for several years, Eula died despite the efforts Faustina had exerted to cure her; in her last breath, she left an odd request behind. "Sustain the king's life. This is your duty. Do not adhere to the prophecy." To which the odd plea shadowed a bizarre series of events, a consequential sentence, similar to that of a premonition. The same night the phrase was muttered, the chain of events followed: A warlock's intrusion to their home, with a peculiar yearning to resurrect Eula from the dead... and the king himself, asking for Faustina’s aid. ** 1-2 chapters a day (GMT+8) ** (The artwork belongs to me.
