《|| BNHA Imagines ||》Ochako Uraraka || Coming Out. (Part 2)

I waited by my house for Uraraka, fidgeting with my fingers. Now that I had realized my liking for her, it made the every-day interactions I'd have with her oh-so much more uncomfortable.
"Sorry that I'm late!" A familiar voice chirped. I waved stiffly, a fake smile plastered onto my face. Under the smile hid so much anxiety; should I just tell her now?
"Good morning." I quietly said as we walked down the block. She hummed, finishing the half-eaten toast in her hand. Uraraka glanced at her phone, frowning.
"Why didn't you answer my text last night?" She asked, tilting her head. I glanced at her, only to make her arch her eyebrow. My eyes shifted to the floor as I shrugged. She let out a long sigh.
"Are you mad at me?" She muttered. I looked up, shaking my head.
"N-No! Of course not." I stuttered, bowing in apology.
"Then why are you acting so weird?" She asked, her frown only growing.
"I-I... I'll tell you later, okay?" I ramble, my heart pounding against my ribs. She nodded, her face scrunched up with immense bewilderment.
We arrived at 1-A's homeroom after a long and silenced walk, separating from one another. I went straight to my seat, sitting down with a long exhale. My hand went to my chest; it beat wildly. Why is it so hard to tell her?
"Good morning class." Aizawa's monotone voice rang throughout the room. Kids strolled to their seats, as Aizawa cleared his voice.
"Let's begin."
The bell for lunch rang, startling me out of my day-dreams. I left the classroom, mindlessly walking to the cafeteria. Suddenly, I remembered the promise I had made to Uraraka earlier.
I looked around, wondering where to go instead of the cafeteria. I don't want to sit next to her; she'll make me tell her...

The library stood across from where I was. I scurried into the room, looking around to see that it was almost empty. I set down my bag on a table near the door, sitting down.
I took out my lunch; grilled chicken and white rice. My fork slid into the rice as I put it down.
"W-Why?" Someone said. I assumed that they were talking to somebody else, so I ignored the remark. I picked up the fork, putting the rice into my mouth.
"Why'd you leave me?" The voice was louder now. I looked behind my shoulder to see Uraraka panting as she set down her bag besides me.
"Midoriya said you were here." She said between heavy puffs.
The mention of his name made my skin crawl. They were talking without me seeing. How often did they talk without me there? The thought loomed in the back of my head, making me grit my teeth.
"So what did you need to tell me?" She whispers, putting her chin on her hand.
A thick silence emitted from me, confusing her slightly.
"I.. I think I like you. Like, then friends." I manage to say through a pounding heart. Her eyes widen in shock.
Seconds pass, with words failing to come out of her mouth. She simply stares in disbelief. I looked down, regretting it all.
"I'm so happy to hear you say that..." She crushed me in an embrace, sniffling. My eyes narrowed with confusion as I returned the embrace, wrapping my arms around her.
"I thought you'd never like me back..." Her crying became more noticeable as she buried her face in my jacket. I frowned, patting her head sympathetically.
I couldn't possibly imagine going through what she had been through herself. Uraraka had been living every day believing that I'd never like her back; that must've broke her heart.

"It's okay, I'm here now." I whispered, running my fingers through her chestnut hair. She nodded, intertwining hands with me.
"I-I'm still new to this though, so can we take it slow?" I stuttered, rubbing my neck. She realized how odd this must've been for me and jolted up, clumsily bowing.
"Sorry!" She stood back up, wiping her tears. The corners of my lips curved up into a tiny smile.
"It's okay."
"Hey, Uraraka?" We walked along the street after school, hands swinging as they were intertwined. She hummed, eyes closed.
"Why did you blush so much when you talked to Midoriya?" I quietly inquired, squeezing her hand gently. She faltered, her cheeks growing pink.
"I used to rant to him about you..." She admitted, nervously smiling. I giggled, poking her cheek.
"Ohh, really?" I teased her, making her cheeks grow even hotter.
"Stop it!" She whined, making me giggle.
"You're cute." I mindlessly said, kissing her forehead. She smiled, sighing.
"You're cuter!"
