Just as a gamer found an overpowered skill book called ‘Item Upgrade’ in the hottest virtual reality role-playing game on Earth, something happened to the game’s system, causing his soul to leave his body and go to another dimension. Common sense dictates that he would be born anew then become the greatest overlord of this world by making use of his advanced knowledge. Not in this case! He was already dead. Only some fragments of his soul and that skill book managed to get into that dimension and merge with an ordinary common youngster called Bai Yunfei.This was the enormous Tianhun continent, where humans could be said to have no limits. College student majoring in botany has a fateful encounter with truck-kun while trying to get back in shape after realizing that his freshman 15 turned into the sophomore 20, and then the junior 30. After going through a very amusing(to some) hell, he gets the chance to transmigrate into a body of his own design on a magical world. Playing to his strengths, he chose the Plantkin race, and the new name of Sorrel to match. This is a slow-paced, magical, slice-of-life story with a focus on relationships. There will be sex(I'll try to keep the explicit stuff to a minimum, but it will be there), swearing, really bad jokes, and enough food to spoil your diet. There will not be a lot of action, epic quests to save the world, or anything even remotely resembling a big-bad-evil-guy(a few smaller bad guys, sure. But, no BBEG). Note: This is a re-write of my first story "Congratulations, You're Dead!". And, is much more what I wish I had written in the first place. The characters and the world are very similar, with a few key differences. The story may borrow some elements from Congrats, but should be considered as its own work. Reading Congrats first is not needed, or even reccommended, not unless you want to see some really cringey romance in the early chapters.

It is a slow-developing story. I had a lot of fun writing it and hope to share it with you, dear reader if you also enjoy it. On the other hand, putting it in an acceptable form requires much work and energy. I intend to bring it to its end and not let it unfinished. I hate it when I encounter unfinished stories, so I understand the feeling. This is not a classical isekai story. There is travel between the two worlds, and the game world seems to be so very real... well, this is one plot of the story. This is not an MMORP game story. Part of the action happens inside a game world, but it is treated as a real world. Updates on a weekly basis, at least Monday and Friday, with additional bonus chapters as time and energy allow.
