《The Fairies, The Slayers, And The Dragons》Chapter Two

3rd POV:
Everything was normal at the guild. Everyone is hanging out with their individual groups and chatting, eating, drinking and grabbing missions off the mission board and taking it up to Mira to get it approved. Aklan walked in dragging his brother behind him by the collar of his shirt.
"Good morning Master," Aklan greets as he walks up to the bar where Makarov was sitting.
"Ah! Aklan, my boy. I am surprised to see you here. How are you this morning?" Master greets back.
"I am well. And you?"
"I am doing well too. Why are you here? You aren't one to like crowds and loud noises." Questioned the old human.
"Trying to assimilate my brother to being around humans."
"Hahaha. Maybe you should try to spend time with the other dragon slayers then. He might get along better with them."
"Unlikely as he harbours a deep hatred for all humans but we will try that."
And with that the older half dragon twin drags their younger brother over to where the Dragon Slayer group was sitting. Natsu was trying to get either Gajeel or Laxus to fight him, Cobra just looked very annoyed, Wendy was trying to calm Natsu down and stop a fight before it happened and Sting and Rogue were watching Natsu until they noticed Aklan approaching with Ajakan being dragged behind.
"Well if it isn't the other two dragon slayers... Here to join our little group?" The "Twin" slayers asked.
"Not at all. Only here to assimilate my brother to humans and having him assimilate to you idiots will likely go better than assimilating him to normal humans."
"Oi! We aren't pathetic slayers like you miserable humans." Ajakan hissed only to be hit on the head by the older.

"Quiet you. I told you to stop insulting the humans." Aklan scolds his brother.
"Why does he say "humans" as if you two aren't humans too Aklan-san?" Sweet little Wendy asks curiously.
"Because we aren't humans like you little sky slayer. We are dragons. Or more specifically, we are half dragons."
"Half dragons?" The youngest slayer parrots.
"Mhm. We are half dragon, half human. Our mother was a human, our father was a dragon. They fell in love, and my brother and I came into existence. I do not see why the idea of half dragons seems to be foreign to you. Did your dragon not tell you about dragon society at all?"
Wendy shakes her head, "No, she didn't. I don't think any of our dragons told us about that."
"I suppose it makes sense. Probably didn't want you to try and find them."
Natsu pipes up, "You act as you know where they are or why they left."
"Of course we do." Ajakan growls, "Just because they left us too, doesn't mean we didn't know why."
"There is a war going on. That's why they left. The dragons are divided and they trained humans like you to eventually help them. But they could only teach you so much, the rest you have to learn yourself." Aklan begins to tell them. "The war has been going on for centuries at this point. Its another reason I had my dragon scale armour. I was helping fight. Which side? I'll never tell. Neither side is correct, but they are too stubborn to see that."
"Dad and Uncle are on the right side. That stupid lizard Igneel has no idea how to rule over dragons."
Aklan hits his brother on the head again, "I told you to quiet down. Now hush your mouth before I do it for you."

"Don't talk about Igneel that way you!" Natsu is of course angry at someone insulting his adoptive father.
"My brother isn't wrong with his statement. Igneel has no idea how to properly rule over the dragons. His decisions are incredibly biased and help the few rather than the majority. He isn't a fair ruler. Neither would our Father or Uncle be good ones too. Both sides are very biased and have the needs of the few above the needs of the majority. That's why the war is happening. And a third side is rising up to fight the first two. When that time comes, the slayers and dragons will all be made to choose sides. No one will be allowed to remain neutral. All will fight. Many will die. The side that is victorious will rule. Whether the rule is successful or not will depend on who wins and how they choose to govern the dragon society after they take over."
"You say you won't tell us which side you are on, but from the sounds of at, you will be joining the third side." Laxus comments.
Aklan chuckles and replies, "Maybe I will. Maybe I won't. Maybe I will run between all sides and watch the chaos as they all fall. Dragon society has been falling apart for a long time now. Maybe what it needs is a fresh start."
"Are you going to try to become the next Dragon King then onii-san?" Ajakan asks curiously.
"Hahaha! You make me laugh brother. No. I would never take the throne, even if it was offered to me. While I would be far less biased of a ruler, many will think Father, Uncle and you will try to use me being King to your own advantage and get rules and the like to swing in your favour. We would be better off tearing the whole of society apart and beginning anew, without a King or Queen and just having a council where all have equal voice on decisions."
"Then why don't you do that Aklan-san?" Wendy questions, "Why not be the one to tear down and rebuild the society to be better?"
Aklan kinda stares at Wendy for a moment.
"You know little hatching, you may have a point. I might just do that. Hehe. Not sure how I never thought of that myself."
"Because, despite the fact you won't admit it, you aren't always seeing the full picture onii-san."
"You are right little brother. I will need to work on that for the future. But for now, let us focus on the present. The war will not worsen for sometime if my calculations are correct. Till then, lets get you assimilated to the humans."
The day went forth and the slayers and the dragons spent time together. Aklan quickly became fond of Wendy and Cobra. Cobra for being rather quiet and understanding the plight that is sensitive hearing that surpasses normal slayers, and Wendy because she was a sweet, quiet and polite young girl.
Ajakan was far from liking anyone and stayed close to his brother. And the others went about their usual business, now including the twin dragons too, despite it being somewhat difficult to do.

An entire sea of ink could not adequately describe my feelings towards him. It was almost as if all the stars in the sky were condensed into a single, twinkling one.
