《Heart and Soul (Stingsu, Sting X Natsu)!》Chapter Twelve

Rogue, Mira, and Erza all slowly awoke thanks to the light shining through the windows. "Sting, you forgot to close the blinds..." The shadow dragon slayer grumbled.
"I don't think Stings here..." Mira said as she sat up. Somehow fully awake and already talking normally.
Rogue opened his eyes and sat up, "W-what are you doing here!" He yelled groggily.
Erza was the next one to awaken enough to speak, "Why am I here...?" she stood up in her usual attire. Different to what she wore the previous day, thanks to her magical requipt.
Rogue once again asked, this time up an octave, "What are you doing here, and why are you in my bed!"
Mira and Erza froze for a moment before they fell over. "Sting..." Erza said with her face rammed into the floor.
"Hickey..." Mira said breathlessly.
Rogue gasped recalling what had occurred the night before. "Wait..." a darker thought crossed his mind, "where are they..." he looked around the room until he faced the short hallway that leads to Natsu's bedroom. "Oh, dear Mavis..." he gulped. "There's only one other bed in this house... and it's private..."
Mira and Erza snapped their heads and looked to him, before following his gaze to the hallway. "Let's go," Erza stated.
"Wh-what!? We can't do that!" Rogue yelped.
Mira smiled wickedly, "I want to see my boat..."
Before Rogue could argue Erza was already walking towards the room, "Wa-wait! At least let us come too!" He called as he scrambled out from under his blanket.
"Then hurry up, they could wake up any minute" She said without turning back to face the two who were now following. They reached the door in less than ten seconds. "Now how should we do this..." she searched the door frame.
"Just... open it?" Rogue suggested.
"Yes, we should just open the door. Good idea Rogue," The red head agreed. Mira and Rogue both sighed.
Erza lifted up her leg in preparation to 'open' the door. The shadow dragon realizing what she was about to do called out "Wait, use the door knob! Don't kick it do-!". Rogue was interrupted by the sound of the door flying off its hinges.
"What was that Rogue?" Erza asked innocently, turning to face him.
"N-nothing..." he sighed, not wanting to get into an argument with someone as destructive as her at this hour. He'd just hire someone later to fix it.
Mira peaked through the door frame, "There's no beds in here..." she stated.
Rogue and Erza whipped their heads around and faced the room. "Is this the right room Rogue?"
"Y-yes..." he pointed a shaky finger toward the door, "It's on the bed..."
After a moment they heard a muffled sound. "Oww..." The voice of Happy groaned from underneath. "Why's there a door on the bed!"
"I don't know... but it woke me up!" The voice of the red exceed said after also groaning in pain. He stuck his head out from under, "What's the big idea-" he stopped when he saw Erza. "I mean... good morning!" He spoke, faking a cheerful tone.
Rogue sat back and allowed the chaos to continue, while Mira simply smiled. "Lector, by any chance... is Natsu and Sting under there with you?" She asked, already suspecting she knew the answer.
Happy popped his head out the side before answering. "Aye!" He replied cheerfully. Even with a door on top of him he would still provide his usual comic relief.

"Yeah?" Lector asked, a hint of suspicion in his voice as he looked at the group. "Why..?" He asked, "Ohh... and, cAN SOMEONE TAKE THIS DOOR OFF!".
"What are they doing exactly..." Erza asked, ignoring the demand.
Lector sighed, "I don't know-"
"What do you mean you don't know?" She asked, interrupting the cat.
"I don't know..." he repeated quietly, "because thERES A DOOR ON TOP OF US! AND IF I HAD TO GUESS, THEY'D BE SLEEPING LIKE ANY SANE PERSON!" He exploded.
Erza sighed before approaching the door. She grabbed one corner, "I hope I don't regret this..." she mumbled before looking to the others for confirmation. Both nodded hesitantly.
She pulled up the corner and slid the door off the sleeping dragon slayers, "Awwwwww" Mira whined while looking at the forms of Natsu, who was sprawled out on one side of the bed, slightly pushed into the matters, and Sting, who was on the other side hugging a pillow and hogging all of the blanket.
"Why was I expecting something different..." Rogue questioned aloud.
"We all were..." Mira said solemnly.
Erza was silent staring at the two. "I-I-I- But, the scratches and th-the hickey!" She exclaimed. "Didn't they... you know... get down and dirty..."
Happy and Lector tilted their heads, "Huh? What's that mean?" Lector's asked. The red and blue felines looked at each other.
"Aye, I don't know either..." Happy looked to Erza before continuing, "but I know that I heard a commotion about two dragons playing, or fighting, in the sky yesterday when we were in town getting groceries... is that what you mean by 'scratches' and that bite mark thingy? And 'down and dirty'?" He mimicked the way Erza said it. Causing them to cringe for a second before realizing everything else he said.
Rogue, Mira, and Erza froze. "T-they were play fighting?" The redhead squeaked, suddenly blushing extremely red. 'How could I think THAT happened!? They probably don't even know what THAT is!'
"Uh huh...?" Happy replied tilting his head in confusion to her reaction. "They'll probably be out of it for a few more hours... likE WE SHOULDA BEEN IF NOT FOR YOU THROWING A DOOR ON TOP OF US"
After the initial shock of the situation the three turned away, "S-sorry..." Rogue mumbled.
"Aye..." Happy replied, he stood up and summoned his wings before flying after them. Lector close behind. "So rude..."
"You can say that again..." Lector grumbled as they made their way to the bathroom.
The three humans made their way back to the living room, "That was... odd," Rogue spoke, breaking the silence that fell upon them. He smacked his cheeks with his hands to wake himself up a bit more. "What were we expecting exactly?"
Without hesitation Erza spoke, "That,"
Rogue blushed while Mira squealed. "R-really!?" He choked out.
"Of course-" She cocked an eyebrow, "What were you expecting?".
"I-I-I don't know..." He said nervously, slightly embarrassed by his own thoughts, "Maybe they'd be cuddling..."
This time it was Mira who was confused. "Cuddling...?"
Rogue stammered for a bit while he tried to string together a way to explain Stings obsession. "W-well... Sting cuddles things when he's asleep." He spoke slowly with much hesitation. "I figured he'd have been doing that... not that, Erza" He scoffed at her name.
She blushed deep red, "Well not my fault! He had that hickey... and then I saw scratch marks... so I just- I just- thought they did that..." Mira was laughing gently while Rogue was completely losing it.

"Well at least you have an active imagination, Erza," Mira smiled warmly.
"Yeah yeah..." She huffed.
After regaining some control, Rogue wheezed out "I'll get started on breakfast then, then we can keep talking about your little Jellal scheme..." He wiggled his eyebrows teasingly.
She puffed out her cheeks, "You do that,"
"Fro wants to know what's going on,"
Rogue looked to the hammock that the Exceeds, usually, shared. Over the edge hung Frosch's head , "Nothing to worry about Frosch, do you want something for breakfast?" He quickly changed the subject to a question.
"Pancakes!" Fro cheered while dancing a bit. It looked a bit awkward considering it was from within a hammock.
Rogue turned and went to the kitchen to begin his prebreakfast preparations, he smiled when he checked the fridge and saw that the other two actually put the food away instead of eating it. He grabbed the ingredients and mixed them up, before cooking it on a scilet and serving them. "And breakfast is served!" He called out as he walked into the living room where the others were trying to play cards. Frosch still thought they were all playing go fish, which they were not. Happy and Lector had also joined them, luckily he was prepared for that.
"It looks delicious Rogue," Mira complimented as the smell wafted from the plates. He handed a large one to the three exceeds to share and one each for the two humans.
"Now Erza, your 'amazing new idea!' is what exactly?" Rogue asked before taking a forkful of a syrupy pancake.
"Ahh, you see! To get Jellal jealous we need to step up our game here," She explained. Rogue tuned half of it out. Already knowing her master plan is getting Jellal to drop the whole 'Fiancé' act, so that way she'd be able to ask him out without... well, making it look like she's trying to break up a marriage. The only question still on Rogues mine... how did he get roped into playing fake boyfriend/crush/obsession. "...we should fake a date!"
Rogue started violently coughing on his pancakes hearing the last bit of what she said. "Wh-what!?" He yelled.
Mira hummed, "I can see how that'd work... and I might know a spot too. We could try renting out the guildhall pool for the two of you~"
Erza beamed, "that'd work perfectly! And since it's private we won't even need to do anything mushy in public,"
Rogue was frozen for a moment, "B-but why! That's s-such a stupid idea!" He exclaimed, rudely insulting both the she demons.
In an instant there was a sword to his throat, "What was that, Rogue?" Erza asked.
Now it was coming back to him, the reason he was helping her... he didn't want to die young. "Aye! It's an absolutely genius plan, ma'am!" He saluted her hoping that'd be enough.
She lowered her sword and before they could continue planning out more of said 'date' Happy chimed in, "You can't use the pool, not for a while at least,"
Erza cocked an eyebrow, "And why is that?"
Lector giggled a little, "Cana," he said simply.
"Cana?" Mira asked,
The two exceeds nodded as the others watched intently, after seeing what looked like the two struggling to keep something to themselves they exploded. "She filled the pool with booze!" They yelled simultaneously.
Rogues and Erza's jaws dropped, while Mira seemed to be internally screaming from the scrunched up look on her face. "Sh-she did what?" She asked in a sickly sweet tone, struggling to keep her emotions in check.
"She filled the pool with all the booze!" Happy repeated.
"Yep! She said she was gonna drain all the water then fill it up with a bunch of alcohol!" Lector informed, proudly.
"We need to go and check, now!" Erza ordered. Fearing the damage to their reputation if they had a pool filled with alcohol in their yard.
"Yes, I'm afraid so. If anyone hears about it..." Mira began.
"Then everyone in the guild will go at it... not to mention sorcerer's weekly will have a cover story..." Rogue finished. Thinking about how the entirety of the alcohol obsessed, older generation of FairyTail would fight for it. And the public who's still talking about the Grand Magic Games would loose it over such immaturity. Then again that is what Fairytail does best. Acting like idiots, making front pages for stupid reasons, sometimes heroics, but also for incidents related to alcohol. Sometimes a mix of all three.
"Someone will keep master distracted, before he tries to turn this into an annual event..." Erza rested her chin in her hand, signaling she was in thought.
Rogue nodded, he knew the old man well enough to know he would. "He would turn this into a yearly thing wouldn't he..." he mumbled.
Mira giggled, "More like monthly,"
Erza nodded, "Yes, I'm afraid Mira's right. He would try and make it a monthly event..." she stood up and struck a heroic pose, "So it's up to us to stop it!"
The rest of the dining group sweatdropped, "S-sure... just let us finish eat- AHHH" Rogue spoke before being yanked up and being dragged toward the door.
"No time, we must leave at once!" Erza decreed.
Mira sighed, picking up the plates and putting them on the small living room coffee table before following after them. "Hey wait for us!" Lector called.
"Fro thinks so too!" Frosch ran after Rogue, following behind the take over mage.
"Aye! I want to see Carla!" Happy summoned his wings and flew up ahead.
Lector summoned his in response, "Not before I do!" He took off after the blue exceed. The group was loud, with Fro who was talking with Mira and Happy arguing with Lector about the white exceed, as they walked towards Magnolia.
Sting grumbled feeling light shining on his face, 'Dammit I forgot to close the blinds...'. He flipped himself to face away from the window where he felt the light was coming from and scooted towards the wall. 'Much better...' He thought as he was no longer as irritated.
He kept scooting, while he was still curled up in a ball around a pillow. He thought he would hit a hard wall, but hit something... softer... but still had a toughness to it. "Well then... good morning...!" a slightly more alert voice, with almost no hint of grogginess said.
His eyes shot open, only to see the form of a shirtless chest in front of him. 'Wh-what the...' he wondered. He looked up slowly only to find him looking into the piercing green eyes of the pink haired fire dragon slayer. "Na-Natsu!?" He cried out and backed away, just a few inches, a blush rising on his cheeks, "Wh-what are y-you doing in my bed!"
Natsu smirked, "You mean what am I doing in my bed?" He gestured with a flick of his neck, 'saying look around'. 'Mavis... he's so cute when he's clueless!' He adored the look on Sting's face, reflecting complete confusion.
After looking at Natsu's face from below for a couple seconds, as he was still curled up around a pillow, he hesitantly looked around the room. And sure enough it wasn't the one he shared with Rogue. "Wh-what..." he mumbled before looking back to Natsu. "Why am I in your bed!" He screeched, going up an octave or two, maybe even three, between the beginning and end of his sentence.
Natsu grinned and chuckled at his reaction. "Well looks like someone forgot about last night,"
Sting opened his mouth to ask what he meant but then the images and activities of the previous day flooded back to the front of his mind. 'Fuck.. that's right...', Natsu cocked an eyebrow in a silent question to which Sting took a moment to respond to, "I- Yeah... I remember now..."
Natsu grinned a bit wider, "Yeah... I wonder what they drank that did that to 'em,". He continued to stare down at Sting whose eyes, even after that 'outburst', still had a bit of distracted drowsiness in them. "You still sleepy?" He asked softly.
Sting had to snap out of his trance, staring into Natsu's eyes was far too mesmerizing for him to focus on anything else, at least first thing in the morning. "I- uhh, a little..." he admitted. He didn't feel nearly as tired as when he was sick, but still felt like he could sleep for an hour or two.
He moved to try and scoot away more but noticed Natsu's gaze still locked on him, with a slight frown too. "Where you goin'? If you're sleepy, you should sleep," Natsu said matter of factly, but first as a small whine.
Sting cocked an eyebrow, which Natsu failed to see as it was pressed into his pillow still, and tilted his head farther into it. "To my bed?", Natsu's frown grew a bit. "What?" He asked the pinkette.
"You're already in bed," He stated, with the whiny tone growing.
"Yeah, in your bed," He turned his head farther into the pillow.
"So...?" Natsu frowned a little more, causing Sting's confusion to grow.
"So, isn't that weird...?" While it might not seem like a question but rather a statement, he really was curious about his opinion of sleeping with him. 'Hey, if you get the chance to ask, you ask!'
Natsu tried to put on a smile, and succeeded for the most part but Sting could tell it was forced. "No...?" He sounded... hopeful? Sting was very surprised by the answer.
After a moment the initial shock passed and he managed to form a few sentences. "S-so you want me to stay in your bed?"
Natsu grinned, for real this time, before shrugging. It looked a bit awkward since he was sideways but it got the point across to Sting that he was unsure. "I mean, I don't mind if you stayed in my bed..."
Sting gasped, quietly enough that not even a dragon slayer could hear him. He cleared his throat, that of which was suddenly very dry, "W-why?"
Natsu went wide eyed, "Umm... W-well... Y-you see...Umm..." He was unable to formulate a single sentence causing Sting to grow a little more confused. "I-I just li-" He was stopped by a cough, "-d-don't mind..."
They fell into a silence as Sting debated mentally, "I mean... sure? I guess..." He shrugged at his response, "It's closer than walking all the way to my bed... plus those drunks might still be asleep..." he mumbled.
Natsu beamed, a huge smile on his face. "Okay!". Sting remained confused but gave a small grin back.
They stared at each other, awkwardly, for a while. 'What's he gonna do now...' Sting wondered.
"I thought you were sleepy?" Natsu asked, not breaking eye contact with Sting.
"It's just- weird... with you staring at me..." he said quietly.
Natsu's smile didn't falter, "Fine, I'll stop," He turned and faced away from him. Still grinning from ear to ear, 'At least he's still sleeping with me!'
Natsu's smile didn't falter, even after a few minutes passed. But eventually something in Sting urged him to move forward and get closer to the fire dragon slayer. 'It wouldn't hurt... the blanket won't reach so that's an excuse...' After staring at his back, and tracing it with his eyes for a good five more minutes. He started daydreaming about it, and thought it would probably be more comfortable than cuddling some lumpy pillow. Eventually he made a move, and slowly crept forward on the bed leaving the pillow behind. He didn't intend to do anything but merely get closer and feel the body heat radiating off of him.
Natsu felt the slight shift in the bed and turned his head slightly to see the blond creeping his way along the bed, slower then he would've liked. He turned his head back around and tried to hide his smile and give the illusion of sleep. 'Come on, I'm getting cold...' He whined internally, craving body heat. Or at the least a blanket.
He was only a few inches behind him, the scent of smoke and... 'campfires?'... reached his nose again. It was much stronger now that he was this close to him. He took a deep inhale and savored it, 'Mavis help me... it feels like I'm breathing in pure joy,'. He laid his head down on the pillow, right behind Natsu. He began to watch the slow movement of his lungs, shown through the rise and fall of his ribs. He could tell he was awake but didn't mind the lack of reaction, not too much at least.

The Afterlife, And How To Survive It (Barely)
Larry Foulery's monotonous, directionless life changed drastically, when he got shot in the face. Reincarnated into a new world, where he has nothing to lose and everything to gain, and with the honor and dedication of an part-time fast food cashier, he is ready to face this adventure. Kinda. The story takes place in the cynical world of Afterlife, where status screens and are considered normal, and the rule of physics cry in a corner, because nobody cares about them, and they are alone and lonely, and their family hasn't called them in years. Anyways, have fun. BTW don't stare too long into the story cover. I get the feeling it stares back. I'm trying to improve my writing, so feel free to bombard me with criticism.

Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.

Super Sekken (An Action Shonen Story)
This is the author’s first story ever written. It may not be great, but do check it out, and I hope you enjoy! I’m currently working on its sequel. Hope. Courage. Self-value. Friends. These all were traits that former junior high soccer champion and first year Miyuki Sekken had none of until she first walked into the doors of her local High School. Despite being a sports athlete phenomenon in her school district, Miyuki dreaded its attention, and even quit her career in pursuit of living a simplistic daily routine. This daily routine would be inevitably interrupted when she chooses to 'branch out' by talking to people. Whether it be a chance of bad luck, fate, or karma, Sekken ends up speaking to someone who was unknowingly suffering from a curse: a curse that causes anyone who tries to get close to them to disappear. Miyuki Sekken would be the next victim, finding herself face-to-face against a once-thought mythical mafia. This gang is not just any gang either, but one who is run solely by the school students of Maguro High, who hold secrets to powers unheard of by the world. How will this first year survive? Will she conquer her anxiety and thwart the gang's vicious rule? Or will she end up losing more than she could have imagined? P.S. I am not a good drawer, so I use Picrews and photo editors to get the general idea for my characters' designs. Rights to the Picrews used go to their respective authors.
