《Heart and Soul (Stingsu, Sting X Natsu)!》Chapter Eleven: Training

The two dragon slayers stood in a field, it was early morning and Sting had finally recovered from his sickness. 'I'll do it right this time for sure!' He was grinning widely.
"Yo, Sting, are you listening?" Natsu asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Wh-what? Yeah!" Sting blushed slightly when he glanced at Natsu's neck. His scarf was hanging looser than normal so he was able to see the mostly faded dark spot. He mentally slapped himself and quickly focused back on Natsu's face "Let's do this!". Rogue wasn't with them as he was on a job with the exceeds.
"Let's hope you do this right," He teased. Sting puffed out his cheeks in irritation, causing a quiet giggle from Natsu. 'He's so cute...' At this point he didn't even try to deny it, it was basically a solid fact in his mind. 'Like his muscles...' He smiled gently, before blushing incredibly red realizing what he just thought. Sting eagerly ran farther into the field to get more room for his transformation.
"Is this enough room!?" He asked.
"Yeah, it's plenty!" Natsu replied, still slightly pink. Sting was too eager and excited to notice it and sat down. Natsu was torn between hoping he would go back to being cute and tiny, and transforming properly. Either way he would spend the day with him, but at least in the second scenario he would be able to actually conversate. 'While the squeaks and chirps were cute, they'd be annoying...' He watched Sting mediate and activate his white drive before he stood up.
"" A familiar warm light surrounded the field and forced Natsu to avert his eyes.
'I hope it works...' He gritted his teeth as the light was penetrating his eyelids. 'I swear if he ends up blinding me!'. The light died down after a few more moments, "Finally!" Natsu sighed in slight annoyance before turning back to Sting. There stood a large White dragon, it had snow white fur around his neck and scales that glistened with the sunlight. One of the more prominent features of his face was a scar above his eye which was from his human form, scarring usually was one of the major things that was shared on both bodies, another being eyecolor. His tail ended in more fur and his back had two twin stripes of it, there was even a small bit wrapping around his limbs. It was clear now that he would always lack horns, which Natsu was sort of glad for. Sting 'squealed' in joyous relief that it worked, causing the ground to shake. Natsu sighed taking in the sight, 'Of course he's fluffy, that's exactly what you'd expect out of him isn't it?'.
"" He exclaimed, causing Natsu to lose his balance as the ground shook again.
"I can see that," Natsu taunted. "You're still fluffy, I was expecting it to be just a baby thing." He giggled when Sting pouted silently in embarrassment. when he brushed his neck, feeling its form and his head...
"" He whined as he felt his head.
"It's a possibility..." Natsu muttered, remembering how he awoke to Sting cuddling a pillow between them a few mornings ago when he was still sick. 'It really is...'.
Sting was pouting about his appearance still, but his eyes shot up as Natsu was preparing to cast his spell. ""
The same warm, blinding light surrounded the field. After a moment it disappeared and there stood Natsu in his dragon form. Sting grumbled but was interrupted by Natsu speaking, "" Natsu asked as he walked over and brushed Stings fur. Sting turned his head away playfully and grinned in distaste showing off his new teeth. "" Natsu joked playfully.

"" Sting turned back and opened his mouth so Natsu could get a closer look.
"" Natsu leaned in closer but before he got a clear look Stings mouth snapped shut causing him to jump back. "" Sting smiled in satisfaction.
"" He asked, excited that he was finally going to get the training that Rogue was telling him about.
"" Natsu smiled, mockingly. Sting rolled his eyes.
""
"" Natsu proceeded to run across the field. ""
"," He sighed before trying to take a few steps. He stumbled a bit but managed to catch himself. "" He bluffed.
"" Natsu grinned evilly. Sting gulped, he took a breath before taking another step and bursting into a sluggish slow run.
"" He yelled while tipping over with each step, ''. He was a few paces from Natsu when he tripped. "" He yelled as he was sent flying because of the momentum into the fire dragon.
"!" He cried out, thanks to the impact they were sent rolling into a few trees. Sting was dazed momentarily while Natsu was in pain from the impact. "..." He groaned. Sting blinked a few times and looked to see Natsu shoved into a tree.
"" Sting apologized.
"" He sat up scratching his aching back.
"" He scowled causing Natsu to chuckle. While Natsu looked majestic in his black reptilian appearance, Sting looked like an adorable fluffy white cloud.
"" Natsu laughed causing Sting to groan softly. He swatted him gently on the shoulder to get his attention.
"" He asked in defeat.
"" Natsu grinded.
"" Sting pouted again causing Natsu to grin wider.
"" Natsu answered.
"" Sting asked panically, he did not want to go through being embarrassed in front of Natsu at his failure to walk.
"" He took a few steps back towards the field and away from the woodwork. "" Sting hesitated before nodding.
"" He took a few steps, using all his concentration to insure he didn't fall. He took one, then two, three, four, five and six steps before he was next to Natsu. He looked over and smiled, Natsu smiled back.
"" Natsu took another step forward before looking back to Sting for approval, who simply nodded yes. He watched the ground where he took each step and couldn't help but grin when they reached the other side of the clearing. "" Natsu smiled.
"" Sting sighed sadly, he walked after Natsu with more confidence than when they started.
'' Natsu watched with adoration as Sting chased after him. "" He taunted while turning away and began to walk a bit faster.
"" Sting cried continuing to walk at his slow pace. "". Natsu looked back and stuck out his tongue.
"" He asked as he watched Sting continue to waddle slowly towards him. Sting's face showed pure determination before he hesitantly nodded and started to walk faster. "".
"" He sped up again and was managing to keep his balance this time. "" He managed to catch up to Natsu and was smiling wildly. ""
"" Natsu smirked. ""
"" Sting interrupted, a months worth of excitement blowing out of his lungs all at once. Natsu sighed at his overjoyed nature.
""
"" Sting begged, silencing his interjection. Natsu huffed in frustration and faced towards the ground avoiding the puppy dog eyes that Sting was giving. Somehow even as a giant reptile he guessed they would still be effective even if Sting didn't know just how effective.
"" Natsu was struggling to think of reasons why not to ''. He looked up and before he could say no he looked at Stings face and immediately breathlessly said ""

Sting squealed, again causing the ground to gently tremble. He couldn't wait to try flying, it was one of the few, technically the only, thing that he was jealous of that the Exceeds could do. "" He asked, still jumping a bit but not leaving the ground. Natsu signaled for him to follow him into the middle of the field and he followed obediently.
"" Natsu continued walking forward and turned to face him. "" As he explained he went through the motions and Sting copied.
"" He asked.
Natsu nodded, "" Sting looked at his right wing and slowed it down before Natsu spoke again. "".
Sting smiled widely and looked back to Natsu, who was also showing off his teeth. '' He quickly shook the thought out of his head before he asked what was next, ""
Natsu grinned a bit wider, "" He began to show what he meant by making the wing curve and was blowing the grass around.
Sting copied the movements and was soon also kicking up a gust of wind. He smiled in satisfaction at his success. ""
"" The lessons continued for another hour. Natsu taught Sting how to alter his speed, land, hover, etc. all before he would let him leave the ground. Rogue came out to join them for a bit and the Exceeds came with.
"Sting your fur is so soft!" Lector exclaimed as he rolled around on his neck.
"Fro thinks so too!" Rogues partner exclaimed as he played on his back. Natsu was laughing at the show and Happy was busy eating a fish.
"" He growled in pretend agitation which caused the group to laugh.
"It's like I'm laying in a cloud!" The red exceed rolled around in his fur. For some unexplainable reason he felt the need to groom it. He shook the feeling off... as well as Lector and Frosch. "Sting!"
"Wee!" Frosch cheered, and was luckily caught by a ticked off Rogue. Lector activated his Aera before he hit the ground but was still flying for his dramatic effects.
"That was rude!" Lector cried as he continued hurling himself towards the horizon. The group sighed at his antics.
"" He trailed off returning to his thoughts. '' He concluded, hesitantly he raised his front right 'paw' to his face and started licking the fur that circled it. He didn't notice at first but the ground was staring at him. He only noticed when Happy spoke up.
"You're doing it wrong!" The blue exceed flew over and landed in front of his face. Sting immediately snapped to attention. "You're supposed to do it like this!". Sting was wide eyed with embarrassment as the cat began to groom himself. "Come on, you ain't gonna clean yourself right if you just sit there!".
"" Natsu said from where he was laid down sunbathing, hesitantly Sting started to mimic the cat.
"See, isn't it better listening to me!" Sting nodded, "More people should, I'm a genius!". Sting shook his head 'no' causing the others to burst out laughing and Happy began to dramatically cry. Sting shrugged as the cat ran away, knowing he'll come back in a couple of minutes if he doesn't head home. He continued grooming for a bit until he felt satisfied and wanted to continue training.
"" He said innocently. Natsu turned his body onto his side, as he was laying with his stomach facing the sky, and huffed. The scaled skin above one eye raised mimicking that of raising an eyebrow. "" Before Natsu could answer Rogue interjected.
"No, no. I'm fine, I need to start dinner anyway." He stood up from his seat which was a random discarded log, "I'll start it now, you'll probably be hungry when you're done anyway.". For some reason that Sting couldn't place he felt like there was another reason but didn't care that much. Maybe he was scared of flying? '' His thoughts were stopped when he thought about wanting to fly, and he wanted to fly now.
"" He turned his attention back to the fire dragon who was watching Rogue walk away.
"" He turned himself over onto his stomach and stood up onto his paws. He stretched his back and wings, and Sting couldn't help but cringe as he heard the bones and joints pop. Natsu noticed this and decided to make a show out of it. He stalked over to him and slowly began to mock him by popping the bones in his limbs. "" He began to crack his wings again. Sting still cringed with each pop and crackle and Natsu chuckled.
"" He asked, trying not to flinch. To his heightened hearing it sounded like Natsu's body was slowly breaking and he hated it.
"" He quickly turned back to his normal self and began instructing Sting again. He listened intently to the direction and copied everything he did.
"" Natsu demonstrated the position again for quickly changing direction.
"" Sting argued. Natsu sighed and ran over and grabbed his left wing.
"" He growled as he pulled on his wing, adjusting its position. Sting yelped in pain, "".
Sting pouted as he tried to copy his left side onto his right. "" He asked in annoyance.
"" Natsu praised him, ''
Sting smiled in relief, but after noticing Natsu failed to remove his clawed hands he cleared his throat to get his attention thinking he was mentally side tracked. "" He asked sheepishly, which Natsu failed to notice as he was playing with a spot of fur on his wing.
"" He thought for a moment before nodding, still playing with the bit of fluffy fur. "" He smirked, lifting his head and facing Sting who was watching him play with the fur.
Sting smiled back after he realized he was being looked at, "" he asked, gesturing with a flick of his head to Natsu's now still claws.
Natsu looked at what he was gesturing to and went wide eyed "" He quickly pulled them back. Luckily not pulling any out. He noticed Sting was fixated on the spot and sighed. "" He moved his head over to the spot and before Sting could comprehend what was happening he began to groom it.
"" Sting stuttered and tried to move his wing. Natsu looked over and before he could escape pinned him down.
"" He said nonchalantly like it was a normal thing to do. Sting was about to object but was interrupted, "".
Sting immediately shut his mouth, wanting to get in the air as soon as possible. He watched silently as Natsu licked and groomed the spot, and a bit more, of his fur. Natsu was still holding him down but he didn't try anything to stop it. '' He thought as the minutes ticked by, eventually his impatience driving him mad. "" He giggled quietly.
Natsu's eyes grew a bit wider before he jumped off, "" he laughed nervously.
Sting rolled his eyes, "" he was getting fed up with all of his sorries, "" He added after a moment.
Natsu nodded "". Sting giggled quietly at his little slip up, both stood up and Natsu walked a bit. Making no gesture for Sting to follow so he stayed put. "" he began.
"" Sting barked, interrupting Natsu.
"" He snickered quietly, '' His mind silenced for a moment before what he just thought was processed. ''
Sting and Natsu took up positions with their wings spread out. Sting looked just about ready to explode, and Natsu was purposely delaying them. He was trying to see how long he could drag on this form of torture. "" He whined, stretching out the name.
Natsu sighed and turned around, ""
"" Sting yelled. Natsu stifled a retort and proceeded to turn away. Sting was a little disappointed that Natsu didn't say anything fiery back, but quickly chased the thought away with a shake of his head.
"" Natsu roared without turning his head. In an instant he was in the air and Sting leapt up and followed.

Long Island
Long Island was not the first virtual reality game or to say a VRMMORPG. Not the one which changed the world and became a legend. No, it was made when there were lots (quite a few) of virtual reality games already on the market. Each game had its own unique AI feature, its own unique adventure, promising everyone a chance to become King, if not a God. In such a time Long Island was made. Just a little different, just a little unique. A normal guy was starting his own adventure, in life and in game.Note - Adding a cover made by someone I connected through wattpad: @DameCarnelian. Just a warning, it is not an accurate representation. The ship is not Raka's ship so avoid any confusion in that regard.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.

This means none of the NanoPCs known as Frames or any other cybernetics that most of the rest of the world uses and enjoys everyday. Couriers transport data and on occasion small objects for anyone willing to pay the price. Secured delivery is guaranteed and no questions are asked. Like having a human servant in this corporate owned world, using couriers is seen as a status symbol for the wealthy and corporate elite. New York's criminal underground uses couriers for similar reasons. This gives the hundreds of couriers in NYC steady work. After weeks of not finding a job while living with her aunt and cousin, Zoe turns to her slicing skills to steal credits from the Purity Church and turns to the mob so she can get a loan to pay for the internal secure storage space a courier needs and a frame for herself. After making an unlicensed run or two, Zoe finds employment with a transport company and truly starts her life as a courier. This story is a mix of light scifi, cyberpunk, slice of life, a dash of action, and a smidge of fantasy. Slicing is what hacking is called in this story. Credits are currency in this story.
