《Pokémon High》Bored

I reached out my hand as much as I could, mentally begging Alain to come back. I was so scared. I didn't know what was going on. I had no idea why these people wanted to hurt my brothers, and me so badly. I didn't even know why or how I got out here in the first place. Did wonder too far away again?
No matter how much I tried I couldn't get a single word out. My body would not respond. Just what exactly happened to me that I could have gotten in such a state. Everything beneath my waist was completely numb while everything else was too slow to respond. I could feel my eyes begin to fill with tears. My vision blurred making everything cloudy.
'I just want to go home.' I thought, as the tears rolled down my cheeks. Suddenly the sound of Charizard battling came from behind me. I thought that Alain defeated everyone, but it seemed there was someone else lurking, and waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
I tired my best to move my head towards the battle. I used my elbows to snake my body back around to where the sounds were coming from. Finally my head was in range, and I turned it to see a strange man not saying a single word, but just using his hands that his Pokemon seemed to responded to. He had a long black coat that went to about ankles while he wore a black fedora with a grey streak running around it. His hands too were covered, with black gloves, but the thing that stood out the most was the small red 'R' that lay on his pocket that was on his chest. He looked important. Like he's someone you shouldn't mess with, and I had a feeling that my brothers messed with him.

Charizard looked as if he was struggling to defend it's self especially with out it's trainers commands. It battled a Pokemon that looked like a Rhino standing on it's hind legs. It had a drill like horn upon it's head, and a silver tail. After a second I realized the Pokemon was a Rhydon.
The strange man made a gesture, before the Rhydon charged a Charizard with it's horn spinning. "Charizard look out!" I wanted to yell, but yet again nothing came out. The Charizard grabbed the horn with both arms, and the horn spun to a stop. The man made another gesture, and it's arm began to glow. It charged it's glowing arm straight up into Charizard's stomach. The Charizard was sent flying back, but it was able to regain it's balance when it's feet touched the ground.
I stared in awe. The Pokemon was strong even without it's mega evolved form, but still. It was growing slow. Without Alain the Charizard was barely holding it's own.
Charizard shook his head, as if he was shaking off the damage it took. Rhydon clearly was barely getting warmed up.
I knew the battle was going to be a long one. With Charizard's fiery spirit, it wasn't going down easy. I found my eyes were glued to the battle, as the two Pokemon knocked each other back and forth. The man showed no emotion on his face, as he continued to make simple hand gestures. He looked almost, bored.
The Rhydon charged at Charizard with it's arm glowing, and, in response, Charizard flew into the air, and used it's flamethrower. The Rhydon just barley dogged, obtaining no damage. I began to worry. This battle defiantly wasn't in Charizard's favor. It was beginning to look tired. It's shoulders slightly rising, and falling as it death stared at it's opponent. Sweat streamed down it's face, and dotted it's brow line. It was clearly struggling. Rhydon on the other hand didn't seem to be tired. It stared at Charizard with blank expression. It looked exactly like it's trainer. Bored.

The Yes-Mage
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations. Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it. Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.

Rage: Crisis / Consequence / ???
Its been ten years since Seth was given his powers, ten years since his town was driven mad by that very same power, and ten years since its source was shunted into his head. A species of energy beings, a people filled with regret for what their entrance onto this world caused. Regret for the deaths that town perpetuated, the devastation they brought, the blow they served to the once proud heroes of this world. Heroes Seth now hopes to join, hopes to heal and atone to for what transpired. But their wounds run deep, their ire sharp, and their acceptance thin. And to top it all off... Seth's power is run far deeper than he knows, and sees his world in a light all its own. This series is my first foray into authoring, with two parts out of at best four if the readership stands. But part three will still book end nicely otherwise. And I'm not stopping till then. It is action heavy with varied and ramping up fight scenes through out. (Book 1 is heavy / Book 2 a little lighter) It is bloody in places, mildly gory in others, and heavily gory in simulated places. Nothing truly horrifying, I think, but be warned. It has trauma. PTSD is a major part of the story, but I will never trust that I got it completely right, so your mileage may vary on how believable or impactful it is. Lastly it has language. Swearing ebbs and flows as the story progresses and attitudes harden or soften. Sometimes bleeding through into the narration... somehow.
