《Ancient God (Ancient Love Poetry)》Chapter 4: Confronting

Lord Zi Yuan's voice wasn't quiet, and his words sounded rude and unreasonable. The lively hall died down immediately, and the immortals followed Lord Zi Yuan's gaze to the entrance of the main hall, and all froze.
In the crowd of immortals, Feng Ran looked outstanding in her red robe. With her demeanor, she looked as cold as snow and ice, and quite a few immortal lords subconsciously took a few steps away from her.
Listening to Lord Zi Yuan's words, this female lord was clearly a high lord, but which female high lord in the Three Realms was so hard to interact with and had a heavy evil aura?
Although the Three Realms knew of Feng Ran's evil aura, she hadn't left the palace in ten thousand years. Besides the high lord who had fought with her, no one knew of her appearance. At this time, the banquet hadn't started, and the other immortals didn't love their reputation like Lord Zi Yuan, so Zi Yuan was the only high lord in the hall.
When Feng Ran was halfway up the mountain, she discovered that the people going up with her on the clouds were all little immortals, and that was when she realized that the child had lied to her. She was very angry and hearing such an uninviting voice, she raised her head to Zi Yuan, whose face was full of smugness but had eyes full of resentment.
"Even Lord Zi Yuan is willing to suffer in the world. How can I, a normal deity, enjoy eternal life!" Feng Ran suppressed the anger on her face, saying loudly as she squinted, and her every move was filled with scorn.
These words were really interesting. That kind of "If you don't die first, I swear I will not leave" was very obvious, and with the words said by a female immortal, the crowd of immortals found it funny and couldn't stop laughing.
But when they finished processing the words, the crowd of immortals looked at the cold and majestic Feng Ran, and a layer of shock appeared under their eyes. The Lord Feng Ran who had wiped out the immortal and demon troops in one move ten thousand years ago and had always been known to the Three Realms as a fierce and terrible evil god was actually such a worldly beauty. Seeing her looking at Lord Zi Yuan coldly, her face full of evil aura, and with a heroic posture that could not be achieved by a normal female immortal lords, the immortals unconsciously showed admiration.
Among the female high lords, besides Princess Jing Zhao, no one could be compared to her appearance and air!
Sensing the tense atmosphere between the two, everyone secretly sighed, knowing that the rumors were true. This Lord Feng Ran and Lord Zi Yuan indeed had strong grudges, and it was difficult to resolve them even if they were given thousands of years.
Zi Yuan had been accustomed to being rampant in the Three Realms, and he was also an arrogant lord, so seeing the immortals looking at Feng Ran with admiration, his eyes sank fiercely.
"Feng Ran, why did you run out here rather than stay in Qingchi Palace to hide? There is no one outside who can protect you!" Zi Yuan snorted, looking arrogant.
The immortals in the hall looked at each other, and although they knew that Lord Zi Yuan was arrogant and looked down on everyone, they didn't think that he would also look down on God Gu Jun, and dared to provoke Qingchi Palace openly.
"I'm not like you, who needs protecting. There is no place in the Three Realms where I can't go, but you, Zi Yuan, last time I saw you ten thousand years ago, you were only a mere lord. Now that you have the title of high lord, it's really something to celebrate, but...I don't know if the pill that Jing Yang was hiding was effective or not, or if it was enough for you!"

Feng Ran put her hand behind her and walked slowly towards the hall with undisguised mockery under her eyes.
Zi Yuan had never been talented at cultivation, and because of his fate of saving First Highness Jing Yang of the Heavenly Realm, he became a high lord after receiving many valuable elixirs, but he wasn't a very popular high lord and was not very liked by the other high lords. He and the other immortals were only friendly to each other on the outside.
But he had always been arrogant about his high deity title, and now, seeing the disdain in the immortals after they listened to Feng Ran's words, he suddenly became anxious, choking, "Feng Ran...you..."
He said half of his words but couldn't continue, and his complexion flushed red. He had never been very popular, and the immortals he had taken great energy to become friends with were of little importance, so he was unwilling to offend Feng Ran, who had some of the strongest powers of a high deity. For a while, no one spoke for him, and the scene instantly froze.
And he didn't know why the two immortal deities behind him seemed terrified after Feng Ran walked in. They did not comfort Zi Yuan like usual and just stood to the side.
In this short time, Feng Ran had already walked to the front of Zi Yuan, wearing a crimson robe with inexplicable fortitude and with a solemn expression, "Zi Yuan, the hatred in the past was something I did not dare to forget these ten thousand years. If there is another opportunity in the future, I will definitely repay you back with double the price."
Zi Yuan was so shocked by the lone wolf-like gaze of the woman that he took two steps backward, and the terrifying scenes hidden deep in his soul suddenly appeared.
That year in Yuanling Swamp, Feng Ran, who was seriously injured and covered in blood, still managed to kill the Third Prince of the Demon Clan. If it were not for him, who sacrificed an immortal sword in the dark, he would not have been able to save the dying Jing Yang. And because of this, he also received a blow from Feng Ran, and barely escaped after destroying his foundation of a hundred years. The Feng Ran then wasn't a high deity yet and was already as terrifying as a demon god, let alone now.
Seeing the unconcealed fear on Zi Yuan's face, ridicule started to show on the faces of the immortals in the hall, as if they couldn't believe that such a high deity would get bullied so easily. In the silence of embarrassment, a burst of elegant and delighted laughter suddenly sounded from the back of the hall.
"Lord Feng Ran hasn't come out of Qingchi Palace for ten thousand years. This time, you have come to Da'ze Mountain. Please excuse me for not welcoming you." Lord Dong Hua, dressed in a cyan Confucian robe appeared at the entrance of the hall with white hair and a long beard, a calm demeanor, and the wisdom and understanding of the elderly.
Dong Hua was the oldest high lord of the Three Realms. As soon as he appeared and joked, the stagnant atmosphere loosened up by quite a bit, and even Feng Ran remembered Hou Chi's words, and she waved her hands repeatedly, showing that she did not dare.
A crowd of high lords appeared in the hall behind Dong Hua. Although they were not close with Feng Ran, their expression as they looked at her was filled with curiosity and approval. Lord Dong Hua ignored the guest-filled hall and started to discuss with her the technique of spiritual foundation. All the immortals knew that Lord Dong Hua was addicted to cultivation, so they were not surprised by his actions.

With this, Zi Yuan seemed to have been deliberately neglected. His expression changed drastically, and as he raised his eyes, his gaze swept across Wu Wang and Wu Xu, who was standing behind him, and he remembered the gift. A hint of delight swept across his eyes, and he coughed loudly in front of the few high deities in the hall.
"Lord Dong Hua, something has happened to me these past few days that has made me feel very resentful. Today is your birthday banquet, so I originally shouldn't say this out loud and spoil the fun, but you have always been highly respected, so I hope that you can judge the truth."
While talking, Zi Yuan bowed to Lord Dong Hua with a formal expression. Everyone was taken aback for a moment and raised their eyes to look at him. Lord Dong Hua frowned almost invisibly and glanced at Feng Ran with regret, then turned around and said loudly, "I have never asked about events in the immortal world. If high lord has encountered some injustice, it will be fine for others to hear about it."
Hearing the evasiveness in Dong Hua's words, Zi Yuan waved his hand hurriedly and said, "LOrd Dong Hua, this is about the Demon Clan, how can it be unimportant?"
Although the Immortal and Demon Clans had stopped battling for thousands of years, many of the immortal lords in the hall had a deep hatred for the Demon Clan. As soon as Zi Yuan said this, it aroused the solemness of all the immortals.
Lord Dong Hua saw that Zi Yuan was serious, and said, "If this is about the Demon Clan, then we must talk about it. Tell us first, what is so important?"
Seeing the solemn crowd of immortals, with only Feng Ran's expression calm, a confused light swept across Zi Yuan's eyes, and he immediately formalized his expression and said angrily, "My fellow high deities, Feng Ran has colluded with the Demon Clan, and has intentions to betray the immortal world."
He pointed at Feng Ran as he said this, his face full of righteousness, but he didn't see that the faces of Wu Wang and Wu Xu had suddenly paled.
"Lord Zi Yuan, do you have evidence?"
As soon as he finished his words, a high lord asked him rudely, his expression full of disbelief. Everyone knew that Zi Yuan and Feng Ran had a deep hatred, so the words that he would say would try to destroy her. Besides, Feng Ran was now blessed by Qingchi Palace and had a deep hatred towards the Demon Realm, so why would she collude with the Demon Clan?
"Of course." Seeing the disbelieving immortals, Zi Yuan raised his hands and waved his hands behind him and said, "Lord Dong Hua, I will only speak when I am sure. Wu Xu and Wu Wang bumped into the Demon Clan at Qilian Mountain and were injured by them, and even the coral tree I wanted to give to you was taken away. Qilian Mountain is under Feng Ran's jurisdiction. Without her permission, how could the Demon Clan enter?"
The immortals froze, raising their eyes to look at Feng Ran. To college with the Demon Clan was a large crime! Even with the blessing of God Gu Jun, the Nine-Sky Thunder punishment was inevitable.
Feng Ran frowned, and seeing Zi Yuan's proud expression, sighed and said, "Zi Yuan, this is not a small matter. So is it the one-sided words of the two people behind you that will force me to confess my crime?"
Zi Yuan saw that Feng Ran was weak, and smiled, pleased. He pulled Wu Wang, who was behind him, and pointed, "Feng Ran, do not deny this. I have Wu Wang's injuries from the Demon Clan as evidence."
Seeing all the immortals' gaze on himself, Wu Wang wiped the cold sweat on his forehead, looking anxious, and not saying a word.
All the immortals sensed that something was wrong, and only Zi Yuan was pleased with himself. Lord Dong Hua also sensed that something was wrong, and sighed quietly. He was about to say something when he was interrupted by Feng Ran.
With a "puchi", Feng Ran put her hands behind her back, with a bit of sarcasm, "Zi Yuan, the cultivation you practice these years was really all for nothing. And you even have the title of high lord. The injuries on Wu Wang's body are obviously from immortal magic, and you actually dared to use them to slander me?"
Zi Yuan froze, and seeing Lord Dong Hua frowning, refused to believe her. His face suddenly turned to the color of a pig's liver, and he turned around, saying angrily, "Wu Xu, what is going on?"
Honestly, this wasn't Zi Yuan's fault, and if it wasn't for Feng Ran and Dong Hua's strong high lord powers, it would have been very hard to tell. If he wasn't so anxious to retaliate Feng Ran, he might have been able to figure it out.
Wu Xu and Wu Wang fell to the ground, kneeling with anxious expressions. They weren't even able to say a complete sentence after a long time and only shouted continuously, "High Lord, please forgive us".
"It's better if I do this. A few days ago, an immortal child of Qingchi Palace discovered that someone had broken in. I did not find any trespassers, but I found a coral tree at Huajing Pond. I was still wondering who would be so bold and dared to break into God Gu Jun's private property. Now I know that it is the object of Lord Zi Yuan..."
As Feng Ran talked, she took out a coral tree from the Qiankun Bag with ridicule in her eyes, "Lord Zi Yuan, you said clearly that I colluded with the Demon Clan and is a betrayer. Now, you have ordered people to break into Qingchi Palace, what crime is this?"
Zi Yuan's face paled. He suddenly remembered the fate of that dragon, gritted his teeth, and grunted, "The two of them broke into Qingchi Palace. You can punish them, what does this have to do with me?"
Even if First Highness Jing Yang protected him, the Heavenly Emperor wouldn't allow the dignity of the god to be offended. Zi Yuan didn't consider this at all and immediately replied to Feng Ran.
Wu Xu and Wu Wang were kneeling on the ground, their faces pale with some disbelief in their eyes as they looked at Zi Yuan.
Feng Ran looked as if she already knew that Zi Yuan would say this, so she sneered and didn't bother to pay attention to him, then turned and looked outside the hall.
The immortals saw that Zi Yuan never took to heart the precious lives of immortal deities and were quite shocked. Many high deities were looking at Zi Yuan with contempt on their faces.
Sensing the stagnant atmosphere in the hall, Lord Dong Hua sighed, knowing that this birthday banquet would probably end with unhappiness. He was about to try to brighten up everyone's moods when he heard a phoenix sound coming from outside the mountain, and couldn't help but slightly freeze.
"Lord Dong Hua, Jing Jian comes to celebrate your birthday in the name of my Heavenly Father, and I wish High Lord to have the prosperity that stretches over the Eastern Sea, and live as long as the Southern Mountains." It was only one sentence of words, but it happened to give off a warm and gentle feeling, making people feel like the spring breeze.
When the immortals in the hall heard these words, they hurriedly walked towards the outside. Jing Jian was the second son of the Heavenly Emperor, and with him celebrating for the Heavenly Emperor, he had an even more special identity.
Feng Ran saw that the faces of all the guests in the hall were filled with panic, and Zi Yuan returned to his pretentious look. She curled her lips and followed everyone walking towards the outside. She casually brushed her sleeves, and a few touches of delight appeared under her eyes.
Fortunately, Hou Chi hadn't left the mountain, or else if she encountered Jing Jian, the son of the Heavenly Emperor, she didn't know what would happen!
On the empty stage outside the immortal residence, a young man wearing a crown and a python robe stepped off a cyan-colored phoenix. Seeing the crowd of immortals welcoming him, he smiled and said, "I'm really terrified making all my immortal friends welcome me."
As he talked, he handed a green brocade box to Lord Dong Hua, "This is some spiritual grass that I found on Ji'an Mountain a few months ago. I heard Immortal Lord Xiu Shan will have his high lord tribulation soon, and I hope this can be of help."
Lord Dong Hua originally wanted to refuse, but after hearing this, his face showed some delight. He knew that the object that Jing Jian was holding was not ordinary, so he wasn't too polite and said thankfully, "My playful disciple has a weak foundation, I'm sorry for bothering your highness."
The immortals heard the sigh in Lord Dong Hua's words, and couldn't help but feel thankful. Immortal Lord Xiu Shan was Lord Dong Hua's lead disciple and did things only for good, so he was very popular in the immortal world. His foundation was ruined after the battle with the Demon Clan and his immortal form nearly disappeared. Thanks to Lord Dong Hua protecting the origin using elixirs, he escaped the tribulation. Now, he had managed to welcome the Sky Tribulation back after ten thousand years of cultivation, but his immortal powers were not as strong as before, and his tribulation would be full of dangers. This matter was one of Lord Dong Hua's greatest worries.
"I am entrusted by my Heavenly Father. High Lord doesn't need to mind." Jing Jian smiled, his expression elegant and calm.
Feng Ran was standing behind the crowd of immortals, analyzing carefully. She snorted nonchalantly. The family of the Heavenly Emperor all had this personality to win over people's hearts, but...she glanced at the smiley young man, saying silently, This Jing Jian is much better to look at than his arrogant-faced older brother, Jing Yang.
She seemed to remember the hatred of that year, and Feng Ran stared at Jing Jian with a scorching feeling in her eyes.
The person with the attention seemed to feel something and looked over here with some doubt. Seeing Feng Ran looking at him with a disdainful face and arched eyebrows, he froze slightly. After a little hesitation, he smiled at Feng Ran, an inexplicable sense of curiosity flashing under his eyes.
This female immortal deity had a very strong evil aura!
"Second Highness, the Phoenix Clan has always been arrogant. I didn't think that you would be able to subdue it. Your Highness is really skilled!" The untimely praise suddenly sounded, and Zi Yuan passed through the crowd, walking forwards with a smile, and looking towards Feng Ran's direction.
Feng Ran's original form was a fire phoenix. The immortals knew that Zi Yuan was deliberately humiliating Feng Ran, so they closed their mouths tight to avoid any suffering.
Hearing these words, Jing Jian obviously was a little displeased, but seeing that the person who had talked was Zi Yuan, who was good friends with his eldest brother, he could only purse his lips and smile. Seeing that everyone's gaze was on the female immortal deity with a strong evil aura, he asked curiously, "My immortal friends, this immortal lord is...?"
"Second Highness, this is Lord Feng Ran of Qingchi Palace." Zi Yuan immediately walked to Jing Jian's side. Seeing that Jing Jian's face had turned a different color from the words, he hurriedly saw another sentence, "Lord Feng Ran is really virtuous. You came here uninvited and without notice, and you just wanted to frame me!"
