Taekwang walks as fast as he can to the rooftop. "You must be crazy, Gong Taekwang." He said to himself as he kicked a small rock in front of him. "Why did you get flustered at her smiling face?" he asked himself. "The one who you like is Go Eunbi, not Kim Hajin. You shouldn't be acting like this." Taekwang said. He hit his head continuously. "Get yourself together, Gong Taekwang." Suddenly he heard footsteps coming closer. He quickly hides behind one of the bushes on the rooftop. It's Hajin and Moonbin. Taekwang decided to stay quiet, he didn't mean to overheard their conversation. But, at this state he doesn't have any choice.
"But I'm not happy. What should I do?" Moonbin said. Hajin turns around and stare at Moonbin confusedly. "I'm not happy that you're avoiding me. I'm not happy that you're not going to talk to me anymore. What should I do?" Moonbin said. He stares deeply at Hajin's eyes. Hajin's getting nervous. She didn't know what to say. Moonbin takes a deep breathe. "I like you. What should I do?" Moonbin said. Hajin was taken a back for a while. "I'm sorry. I guess you should take care of your feelings. Because I cannot like you back," Hajin said with a cold face before she turns around and walks out. "And why is that?" Moonbin said. Hajin stops her steps and went silent. "Is there someone you like?" He asked. "You don't need to know," Hajin said as she walks out.

Eunbi walks around to look for Taekwang. He left the class right after the bell rang without telling her. Then, she sees Taekwang walking down from the rooftop. A smile of relief plastered on Eunbi's face. "There you are. What are you doing on the rooftop?" Eunbi said. Taekwang looks dumbfounded. "Are you okay?" Eunbi asked. "Oh, I just need time alone." Taekwang said. He walks pass Eunbi and left. "Where are you going? Class is about to start." Eunbi said. But Taekwang just keeps on walking, ignoring Eunbi. Eunbi looks at Taekwang worriedly.

Taekwang walks to the pharmacy. He didn't feel like going to class. "Gong Taekwang, you shouldn't skip class anymore considering you're in your senior year now, you know?" the teacher there said as she saw Taekwang walks in. "Please let me off today," Taekwang said as he let out a deep breathe. The teacher looks at Taekwang strangely. "I guess you're really not feeling well." She said. "Go to one of the empty bed. I'll be going, okay?" she continued. Then, the teacher left the pharmacy. Taekwang walks to one of the empty bed and lay down. A lot of things are going on his head right now.
"Aah, why am I acting like this?" he said to himself. "What am I doing here anyway? It's not like I feel jealous. Right?" he asked himself. "Arghhh, I don't know. What's wrong with me? I already have a girlfriend that I got with a lot of struggle. I must be crazy," he said as he hits his head continuously. Suddenly, someone opens the curtain beside his bed. "Gong Taekwang, you're not cheating on Eunbi, right?" Hajin said. "Ya! You scared me," Taekwang shouts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eunbi went back to the class and found Hajin's empty seat. "Where's Hajin?" Eunbi asked Shijin. "Ahh, she looks pale earlier so I drop her to the pharmacy." Shijin explained. "Is she okay?" Eunbi asked. "The teacher said that she only needs to take a rest." Shijin said. "Oh, right. Did you find that ddorrayi yet?" Songjoo asked. "No. I guess he's at the rooftop, skipping classes as usual." Eunbi lied. "Aigoo, when will he grow up?" Shijin said in disbelief, making Songjoo and Eunbyul laughs. Eunbi is the only one who's not laughing. She stares at Taekwang's and Hajin's empty seat. Eunbyul catches Eunbi's staring at their seats. "Something's not right," she thought.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hajin burst into laugh. "Ya, why do you look so surprised? It really looks like you're cheating." Hajin said teasingly. "I-it's just, I thought I was alone here." He explained. Hajin nods her head with a mocking face. "It's true," Taekwang said, trying to defence himself. "If you really are cheating on Eunbi, I'll kill you." Hajin said. "Anii, it's not like what you think," Taekwang said. Hajin stares at Taekwang in disbelief. "Aigoo, it's all because of you," Taekwang said as he hits Hajin's head lightly. "Me? What have I done?" Hajin asked confusedly. "Just forget it," Taekwang said.

"What are you doing here anyway? It's not like you to skip class," Taekwang asked. "Who says that I'm skipping class? I'm really sick," Hajin said as a defence. Taekwang looks at Hajin worriedly. "Are you okay? You do look paler these days," Taekwang asked. "Really? I guess it's visible now," Hajin said with a sad smile. Taekwang looks startled. He's actually saying that as a joke. "Ya! What's wrong? You can tell me tho," Taekwang said worriedly. Hajin stares at Taekwang's eyes deeply. "What?" Taekwang asked as he feels uncomfortable. A sad smile once again plastered on Hajin's face. "Gong Taekwang," she said. Taekwang raised one of his eyebrows. "I'm sorry. Next time, okay? I'll tell you next time," Hajin said. Taekwang looks at Hajin's confusedly. "Aahh, my head hurts. Let me sleep for a while," Hajin said as she lay back down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's already time to home. Moonbin stares at Hajin's empty seat worriedly. "I shouldn't have said that. But seeing her now will only making it worse. I'll just go home." He thought. Then he tidies his bag and walks out. "Go Eunbi, let's go." Songjoo said. "You guys go first, I'm going to look for Taekwang," Eunbi said. "Oh? Taekwang already went to take his and Hajin's bag earlier when you left to the toilet. He said he'll be going first." Songjoo said. "Ah, jinjja? Let's go then," Eunbi said. A sad smile plastered on her face. Not far, Han Yian was looking at Eunbi worriedly.
The last bell rang and the teacher left the class. Suddenly Taekwang walks in to the class room, directly to his seat. "Oh, Gong Taekwang. Where have you been? Eunbi is looking for you," Shijin said. "Eunbi? I met her before break time ends earlier tho, I told her I'll be at the pharmacy." Taekwang said. Shijin, Songjoo, and Eunbyul look at each other confusedly. On the other hand, Taekwang took his and Hajin's bag. "Can you tell Eunbi that I'll be going first?" Taekwang asked. "Sure," Shijin said. Then Taekwang left the class with his and Hajin's bag.
"Why is he acting like that? It can't be..." Han Yian thought.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I told you, I'm fine. You don't have to do this." Hajin said. "After, what just happened? No way," Taekwang said. He's currently giving Hajin a piggy back. Earlier when they got off the bus, Hajin suddenly got a nosebleed. "You cannot complain later, okay?" Hajin said, giving up. "Arrasseo. Anyway, why are you so light?" Taekwang asked worriedly. "I don't know," Hajin said. "Perhaps, are you dieting?" Taekwang asked jokingly. Then, Hajin hits Taekwang's back. "Ya! Ya! Stop it or I'm going to put you down," Taekwang said. "Great then, I wasn't asking you to carry me anyway." Hajin said and was about to go down. "I'm only joking, okay?" Taekwang said. He fixes their position and continues walking. Then, they arrived in front of their houses. "You can put me down now," Hajin said. But Taekwang continued walking into Hajin's house ignoring her.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taekwang walks out of Hajin's house. He stares at Hajin's bedroom window. "Aigoo, Kim Hajin. What is it that you couldn't tell me?" he said. Then, he walks across to his house and was about to go inside when suddenly someone calls his name. He turns around and looks at that person confusedly. "What are you doing here?" Taekwang asked. "We need to talk," Yian said. "What is it?" Taekwang asked. "Are you really going to do this to Eunbi?" Yian asked. Taekwang went silent. "Why are you acting like this? You've been through so much to finally date Eunbi." He continued. "I know that you're confused with your feelings. But, you need to take care of it fast. Think about it thoroughly." He said again. Taekwang smile weakly. "How do you know? That I'm confused with my feelings," Taekwang said. "I've been there. Think about it, okay? If you keep doing this, you're only going to hurt both of them." Yian said. Then Yian let out a deep sigh and look back at Taekwang. "I'm saying this as her friend. If you're not sure with you're feelings yet, leave Eunbi alone. I don't want her to experience what Eunbyul does." Yian said with sincerity. "I'll be going," he said as he pat Taekwang's shoulder lightly and left. Taekwang went silent.

Only Villains Do That
While waiting on an Akihabara train platform one day, ordinary high schooler Yoshi Shinonome was suddenly plucked from his normal life in Japan and whisked away by a beautiful goddess to Ephemera, a world of magic and adventure, to serve as her Hero and drive back the evil Dark Lord. This is not his story. Standing nearby at the moment Yoshi was isekai'd was a man named Seiji - a rude, cranky, misanthropic musician who was not at all pleased to find himself also snatched up and transported to Ephemera by the goddess's wicked sister, Virya. According to this self-proclaimed Goddess of Evil, the whole fantasy adventure thing was a game she and her sister played to stave off the boredom of immortality, and since the good goddess, Sanora, had picked her Hero...well, Virya needed a Dark Lord. A grown man with his own career and ambitions, Seiji has no interest in playing. Unfortunately for him, the call to adventure was not a request. Now, he must conquer Ephemera and defeat the Hero...or Virya promises to make him beg for the release of death before granting it. Playing along for his own survival, Seiji nonetheless is under no illusions who his true enemy is, and it's not the naive young would-be Hero from his own world. Placed in an impossible position, Seiji must make enough progress toward world domination to keep his sadistic patron goddess off his back, but not so much that he can't strike an accord with the forces of Good and convince the Hero Yoshi that it's the goddesses who are their mutual enemy. Forced to embrace Evil without being too evil, Seiji walks the razor's edge, building his forces and biding his time till he can get revenge on the goddesses and be free of them, his only certainty that he will not be getting out of this with his hands clean. A Dark Lord's gotta do what a Dark Lord's gotta do. Updates Tuesday and Friday. Most Patreon tiers get to read one chapter in advance of the public release!

Kellan Klein is an ordinary college student with an average, if traumatic and painful past. Everyone grows up grappling with depression and anxiety that seem to be genetic in a house with parents that, while loving, fight all the time and have weird ideas about what kids should and shouldn't do, right? Everyone deals with bullying, racism, judgement on their romantic inclinations and their family's economic status and just general shittiness, right? All of Kellan's friends sure did, and for all of them, entertaiment media were a welcome escape from their painful, dreary lives. After all, who wouldn't want to sail the seas with Monkey D. Luffy and the Strawhats, or help Meng Hao con increasingly powerful and influential people, or join Cecil Harvey and his friends on their weird journey to save the world, or make friends with Peter Parker while pretending to not know he was everyone's favorite wall-crawling superhero? Kellan certainly wanted to, and while he pursued college to seek out a career he saw himself enjoying, something felt inexplicably empty about his life. So when a decidely sinister force kidnaps him and the prettiest man he's ever seen saves his life and offers him his wildest dreams, Kellan becomes the shopkeeper of a mysterious, dimension hopping shop, complete with a system that helps him acquire items. abilities, materials, and other cool shit to stock it with, as well as some other neat perks. Will Kellan become a boring overpowered MC, like the kind from web fiction that he reads to sate his boredom? Will he keep his generally kind, sweet nature despite the shit he's gone through and will go through, or will he inexplicably become a scary, violent, irrational arrogant douchebag? Will he use his newfound abilities to explore the multiverse and improve the lives of himself and others, or will he become his own antithesis, a purely mercantile jerk obsessed with money and profit, with no concern for anything that doesn't help or hurt his business? Find out in The Curio Shoppe! Author's note: Please suggest possible setting he could visit in the comments. I'll gather ones i'm familiar with, and at the end of every arc, a poll will be held to decide the next location he visits. There will be polls for other purposes, and I might not always go with the poll winner if I feel one of the other options is more fun to read/write about. I will not use the settings of other RRL writers without their permission.Do not ask for that, unless the author in question gives permission. Most settings he visits will be slightly AU in some way or another, but please remind me if I drift too far from canon unintentionally or characterize a character wrongly. This work will eventually fit all tags I selected once he visits universes suited to those tags, so don't ask when or where a given tag is coming. I do not own the cover art, it belongs to Nicholas Belanger Thiel, and I will stop using it if he asks me to. Kellan doesn't look like the old man on the cover, though once he acquires a disguise-type ability he may occasionally use that appearance. The tapir, however, will be a thing, as despite looking like a failed attempt at an elephant, tapirs are cool and this dragon finds them to be kinda cute. The art, along with more of Nicholas's pieces, can be found at https://www.artstation.com/artwork/51bXz

These are dark times. Hope fades. All live in fear. My fear, my pain began on my eleventh birthday, when the gifts of my heritage revealed themselves. The day I was cast out of my home and family, for being different. For I am a Gatherer. There are other names for people of my profession, Soul Catcher, Reaper, none of them accurate. In my twenty-five years I have seen many horrors. I have seen other Gatherers cut down as they worked, people tortured and mutilated to strengthen the life force released. I have seen the aftermath of a troll attack, on humans and Eldritch alike. In death we are all equal. I fear my end and yet I welcome it as a release from my responsibilities. But I will not waver; I will strive to the last for I, Ryshel Huntress, am a Gatherer. And I know nothing else.
