The Forsaken

Leading their paths to cross as they unwillingly/willingly fall in political schemes and a war between kingdoms all while, unknownst to them, being pawns in a power struggle of ancient powerful beings. WISH MOUNTAIN
I could give you a typical synopsis that you'll gloss over...or I could tell you the essence of what the story will be. Still with me? Great! Let's get to it... WISH MOUNTAIN is inspired by fairy tales and, in a way, animated Disney movies. The biggest inspiration of them all is Beauty and the Beast. Why? Because I love it and hate it at the same time. The thing I hate about the movie is how the villain, Gaston, never got a chance for redemption. The movie was all about what is on the inside that counts, right? Beast went from bad-to-good because Belle learned to love and care about him. Was Gaston not worth that same chance for redemption? Sure he was a bad person, but so bad that he couldn't also undergo the same kind of change for the better? It was this question that got me thinking... what would Gaston's redemption look like? What kind of story would that be? From this nugget an entire epic story unfolded that has both outgrown, but has never forgotten, that original inspiration. So what can you expect? In essence: something like an epic, adult-orientated Disney story, which is gloves-off when it comes to violence and character trauma. I'll be doing my best to write a story that is as close to a classic adventure fairy tale with real stakes and meaningful characters as I can. The story begins with two orphans; Amaryllis and Chicory, who are whisked away to the magical WISH MOUNTAIN, and are faced with fending for themselves all alone. This is a HUGE story that will take YEARS for me to finish. If you're ready for a journey to Wish Mountain, then Once Upon a Time begins with Chapter 1...

Second World
Synopsis: George Young used to play Dream World, the world's most popular VRMMO...until he was betrayed by his own guild member. He was just a less-than-mediocre player, but he held valuable items. Players from all over came and PKed him for those precious items, and eventually, he lost everything. He's now a miserable old bum, living a stale day, one after another, unenthused with the life around him. But one day, he stumbles into a Youtube video where a strange man claims to have made the greatest VRMMO ever: Second World. Reluctant, he decides to try this new game. Upon entering the game, he discovers that there are many things that set it apart from the VRMMOs he's played. While many players find it incredibly boring after their first day of playing, he remains determined. And so, headstrong, he plays through this strange, new game. The question now remains: Will George redeem himself in this 'Second World'? But more importantly: What kind of journey will this 'Second World' take him on? Until one day when he was sleeping a mysterious light appears out of nowhere. What might that light be? Does this mysterious light represent a turning point in Zed's life for better or worse? or is it something else.

A story told from the point of view of an NPC that became sentient. With the help of a friendly player or two, they set about recovering her memories and finding out the cause of her awakening. Set in the MMORPG TERA(The Exiled Realm of Arborea). I got bored on the long commute to and from work(about 1.5 hours each way) and decided to flesh out some of the ideas I've had about my character in game. I write about a chapter a day on weekdays, maybe on weekends too depending on the stuff I have to do irl.
