"They're going to kill him," I told Carl. He nodded and kicked to rocks. "Do you think that's right?" I asked as we walked farther into the woods. "Carl?" I tried to get his attention.
"Carl." I looked over at him. He was staring at the mud so I looked where he was looking. A walker stood there, stuck in the mud. I raised my bow and was about to shoot when Carl stopped me. "One second." He walked over to it.
"Carl! Are you stupid?" I whispered.
He turned to me. "I'll be okay." He said. "One more step and I'm leaving," I said. Carl smirked and took a step. I rolled my eyes and walked away. Carl ran towards me a few moments after. I turned to him. "Let me guess you left it." I shook my head.
"It's not like it could get out anyway." He said. I rolled my eyes. "Whatever," I said walking away.
~
After taking a vote the adult decided on killing Randel. I was mad and Carl was nowhere to be found. I was told to stay away from the barn. I watched them drag Randel on the barn and I waited for the gunshot but it never came. Daryl held Randel as they took him back to the original place where they held him.
Shane was mad.
Carl walked out of the barn and smiled at me. I smiled back mouthing thank you. Rick explained to the group the news and Andrea went to tell Dale. Suddenly there was an ear-piercing scream. It sounded like Dale. I took off running and towards the scream but Daryl pulled me back.
I saw the Walker Carl was supposed to kill. I cried and tried to get closer but Daryl still held me back. "Dale." I kept repeating.
Andrea fell to the ground.
I screamed for Hershel and he finally came. But, there was nothing he could do. Everyone was crying. I leaned down and kissed his forehead.

Rick pulled out his gun.
But couldn't shoot him. I pulled out my knife stabbing him in the head. Everyone was surprised by my actions. I didn't say a word and I walked away.
~
I stood by Dales grave next to everyone in the group.
I kissed the book he gave me and set it on his grave. "Thank you," I whispered. Rick patted my shoulder.
I went back over to Daryl and hugged him. He rubbed my back and I cried. Soon everyone walked away. Daryl stayed with me and Andrea. "He's somewhere better," I assured her.
~
I packed my things as we were moving into the house. I walked in and sat on the couch. I didn't talk to anyone, I just sat there watching people move around me. We lost so much and now we lost Dale. Dale was the most logical person here. He understood things.
I refuse to make any contact with Carl. It's his fault Dale died. He had the chance to kill him. But he wimped out. "Lil Dixon!" T-Dog hugged me. "Why haven't you talk to me today?" He said. "I've been busy," I said with no emotion. He sighed.
"Don't close up." T-Dog sighed. "It took you so long for you to talk to any of us." He rubbed my shoulder. "Dale would want you to be strong."
I looked up. "Now, where's my favorite smile," T-Dog said. I laughed a bit and he leaned over. "There it is." He clapped.
~
"I'll be back." Daryl leaned down. I nodded. "Be careful." I kissed his cheek. He got a little uncomfortable. I smiled. "It's okay Daryl. I'm not going soft." I said.
He nodded.
"I'm just not used to taking care of someone 24/7." Daryl said. Glenn walked over to us with Rick and Shane. "Daryl you're going with Glenn and I'll go with Rick," Shane said.
Daryl nodded.
"What was that saying you and your mom would say?" Daryl asked.

"I love you to the moon." He said.
"I love you to the stars." I smiled.
"Why the stars?"
"Because there are more of them." I gave him one last hug. "I'll be back." He stood up and started to walk in the woods.
~
"They should be back by now," Carl said looking outside. I nodded. "Maybe we should go find them." He said. I laughed but he was serious. "Let's go." I stood up. We snuck out and began walking towards the field. Once we walked over to it I saw Shane and Rick.
They were fighting.
Carl tried to run towards them but was to late. There was a gunshot. I grabbed him and pulled him back. He had his gun raised. Rick turned and looked at us. "Carl don't," I said trying to make him put the gun down. Rick raised his hands up. Carl shot the gun and I covered my eyes.
Once I looked Rick was still there. Shane was closer to Rick. "He was bit." I said confused. Rick ran towards us. "What are y'all doing?" He asked.
He wrapped his arms around us. Carl cried and I held back my tears. We walked back to the farm and laughed about random things. As we walked back to the farm, we heard moans. There were walkers behind us. Rick pushed us to go faster. "Stay close." He whispered. I nodded. "Ellie try to make it to the others. Warn them." Rick handed me his gun.
I dodged walkers and made it to the house. Daryl hugged me. "Where's Carl?!" Lori asked. "He's with Rick," I said. Lori smiled. "Thank God." A walker roamed over to us and I shot it. I looked over at the barn and it went up in flames.
Daryl and I got on his motorcycle and I shot at walkers while he drove around. Soon Daryl said we had to go. Everyone was leaving. We saw Carol and she got on. We drove off and I watched the sun come up.
Here we are again.
On the road looking for somewhere to stay.
~
"Go to the highway." Carol said. He turned around and we made it and I saw Carl. I got off the bike and ran towards him. I jumped on him and he wrapped his arms around me.
Everyone awed and I quickly pulled back. I scratched the back on my neck and turned around.
Lori was smiling at me. We all got in cars and drove to find someplace to stay for the night. Ricks car ran out of gas so we all stopped. It was cold. We made a fire and all sat around it. I hummed Daryl's favorite song and I leaned into him. "Sing it for me?" He whispered. I shook my head. "I'm fine." I said. "Guys Ellie has a song for us." He smiled.
I looked up at him.
Everyone smiled.
"I'm not good at singing." I tried to make excuses. Everyone shrugged. "Come on Ellie, it will bring light to our situation." Lori said.
I nodded.
"East come, easy go, that's just how you live. Oh, take, take, take it all, but you never give. Should've known you was trouble from the first kiss. Had your eyes wide open, why were they open?" I started out.
"Gave you all I had and you tossed it in the trash, You tossed it in the trash, you did. To give me all your love is all I ever asked, 'Cause what you don't understand is I'd catch a grenade for ya." I got the chorus.
I sang threw the song and finally ended it. Everyone smiled and went back to doing what they were doing before I started singing.
I pulled out my journal and updated it.

Love Of Baybur [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
The Sultanate won a huge battle against their enemies of different religion, and now left them with only a piece of land surrounded by Sultanate's forces. Baybur, a yerliyya from a backwater place, is hailed as a hero after the war for his past contributions in a strange manner and is, thus, invited to a banquet prepared by the Sultan and attended by many Great Nobles. To Baybur, who had dreams of stepping on a higher stage in Sultanate's politics, and in his Orta's ranks, this is a chance for him to shine and rise. Yet he, and many in the banquet, knows that victory is far from over. And this presents a chance, with greater risk than before, to impress the Sultan and the Pashas of the Sultanate. Sanjak-beys and Aghas of the Janissary Corps all seek to devour their enemies, both in and out of the Sultanate. And Baybur, in the midst of this brewing storm, is no different from a fish dreaming to be a dragon. But a woman he meets at the banquet changes everything; his goals, his dreams, and his fate. After all, love, without expression, is a deadly curse. As a note, Cover is not mine obviosuly, and I write this both for NaNoWriMo and Writathon. To some history lovers and nerds who specialize in it, I know you might be angered quite a deal with some things I've written.(I get the feeling when someone talks wrong foolish things in a study I know, no hate) But this is a historical fiction written by a seventeen-year-old, don't expect much from me to know every single detail. Much of my research is surface level and some things are, well, to fit plot, are changed. So bear that in mind. For schedule/chapter thingt, there will be at most five chapters until I pass the 55.555 words mark. Each chapter will be around or above 10k+ words. It is also not edited, and probably won't be unless I find a great deal of time in my hands after November to see what I lack in where. That's all. Now go read, or leap to another fiction. Enjoy!

The Girl He Used To Know - An UnderCurrent Story
Pierre Havelock is an author, atleast now he is. In truth 3 decades ago Pierre was dragged across space & time only to land on our boring old earth. So when one of his 'characters', a girl based on someone he once knew in his past life, appears before him - Pierre is less than best pleased. He is even less happy when said girl decides to make his house her new home! __Now on Royal-Road! ‘The Girl he Used To Know’ began life when I came across a rather silly prompt on a web-novel site I was using; "Theme: My 2D waifu is now my real life Valentine's!?"Well with a title like that I couldn’t help but be interested by the idea of leaving my usual writing niche and trying something a bit more novel. Tying it loosely back to my main series ‘UnderCurrent’, ‘GUK’ was born as a standalone romance novella which you are now holding, styled with Japanese tropes in mind from a more western perspective.I hope you will find this to be an interesting and fun read - Designed with the intent of being a somewhat contemplative and ‘cosy’ story - Whatever the case I thank you for picking it up and giving it a once over.- Momentie __I adapted Draft 2 to audio - I can't voice act, or edit, yet I kinda like it & find it personally the best way to enjoy the story😂 - https://youtu.be/kNWiSiZU53U
