Bill worked silently with a small blush dusting his cheeks as he felt Y/N's eyes on him. He couldn't stop the small quirk of his lips as he let his eyes flicker over and lock with hers. She didn't even try to hide the fact that she was staring at him and merely smiled, an action that made the boy blush even more and turn his attention back to patching the girl up.
As he absentmindedly dabbed at the cuts on her face, Bill's gaze fell down to her leg where her calf was currently bandaged up thanks to the help of Eddie. Y/N had been the first priority when they all got back to her house seeing as she looked the worst out of all of them. But now that her calf was all bandaged and the cut on her arm was cleaned, everyone had started patching themselves up while Bill had dragged Y/N to the nearest bathroom so that he could clean up the cuts on her face.
A small frown appeared on Bill's face as his eyes trailed over the girl's injuries, thoughts of how he should've gotten there sooner or how he should've made sure she was through the portal flashing through his head.
A hiss coming from Y/N made Bill snap out of his thoughts as he looked to the girl who was wincing in pain. Bill quickly pulled the cotton ball that was covered in rubbing alcohol and blood away from her face, his eyes wide with concern as he whispered, "I-I-I'm sorry."
Y/N just shook her head and forced a smile as she waved it off, "It's okay. I'm fine."
Bill bit his lip nervously and went back to dabbing at the wounds while he tried to ignore Y/N's stare. It was only when Bill had finished cleaning her wounds and was throwing away the cotton balls that the silence was filled with the young girl's voice.
"It's not your fault."
Bill hesitated at that, his hand frozen in mid air as he turned his head to look in the girl's direction. Y/N gave him a small smile as she repeated, "It's not your fault."
Bill quickly turned away, silently wondering to himself how she knew what his thoughts were. He threw the cotton balls into the trash can before returning to his spot in front of Y/N who was sitting on the bathroom sink counter.
He wordlessly picked up some Neosporin while Y/N watched him, waiting for a response. When he didn't say anything, the girl let out a soft sigh and brought her hand up before putting it to the boy's cheek and whispering softly, "Bill."
"W-W-Well it kind of feels l-l-like it," Bill finally said a tad bit aggressively, his eyes flickering up to lock with Y/N's as he brought his hand forward and began to put the ointment on her face. "I should've ch-ch-checked to make sure you made it th-th-through the portal. If I had th-th-then you wouldn't have gotten stuck. If I h-h-had then you wouldn't have gotten t-t-tortured." He wiped his fingers against a towel before grabbing a bandage and putting it over the cut.
"If I had then m-m-maybe you wouldn't have almost-" Bill stopped himself at that, the words getting caught in his throat as the reality of what almost happened hit him in full force. Y/N watched in silence as Bill's head dropped, his body beginning to shake as he began to cry.
Y/N didn't hesitate to pull the boy close to her, Bill instantly wrapping his arms around her and digging his face into the crook of her neck as his whole body shook. Y/N softly kissed the side of the boy's head before running a hand through his hair, whispering softly into his ear, "It's okay. I'm here. We're all safe. It's over."

It took a minute for Bill to calm down, but even then he couldn't bare to look Y/N in the eye, too upset and too embarrassed for her to see him like this. Y/N knew this and just put her hands on either side of the boy's face before whispering, "Bill, look at me. Look at me."
Bill reluctantly let his eyes flicker up to look at her and she smiled lovingly at him as she wiped away his tears with her thumbs. "It's not your fault I got trapped in there. I tripped over my own two feet and got there late. You couldn't have known, so how could you possibly have stopped that?" she asked.
"But-" Bill began, but Y/N cut him off by lovingly rubbing her thumb across his cheek, her eyes looking at him in a way that spoke all of her emotions without her having to say anything.
"I'm here, okay?" she whispered, the words being exactly what Bill needed to hear at that moment. "I'm here and I'm with you. And you want to know how that's all possible? Because you pulled everyone together and came to find me. If you hadn't shown up, I would've been a goner. It's because of you that I'm alive."
Bill didn't know what to say as he stared at the girl before him. There were just so many emotions running through him that he couldn't even figure out what he was feeling at that moment. All he could think about was how much he cared for the girl.
About how much he loved her.
His lips trembled slightly as he stared at her with watery eyes. "I just. . .I-I-I can't lose you," he finally managed to whisper, a single tear rolling down his cheek which Y/N was quick to wipe away despite her own tears.
"You won't," she assured him as she stared at him as if she were trying to prove a point. "You won't."
The teens were silent after that, both of them just staring at each other as unspoken words and feelings floated between them. Bill was the first to move and he leaned forward so that their foreheads were resting against each other, their breaths mingling together as they both closed their eyes and enjoyed the closeness between them.
Bill was holding onto Y/N's arm, his thumb rubbing small circles on her wrist while his other arm was wrapped around her waist. Y/N had a hand against the boy's upper part of his neck, her thumb rubbing gently against his jaw while her other hand held onto his arm.
Their noses brushed against each other, but neither made a move, both too afraid to put their feelings out into the open despite every thing that had happened. After a few minutes of them in this position, Y/N finally moved her head up slightly, her nose brushing against Bill's again while her breath was close enough to fan the boy's face.
Bill let his eyes flutter open and they instantly locked with the most stunning pair of e/c eyes he had ever seen. The same eyes he found himself getting lost in almost every day, the same eyes he loved to find looking at him, the same eyes he had fallen in love with.
Bill was just about to move forward, to take that final inch away and finally put his feelings out into the open. But right when he was about to leave forward, when both of their eyes had fluttered closed once again and their breaths were caught in their throat, a loud bang on the door had the two jumping back in surprise.

Y/N slipped from Bill's hold and into the sink, the action causing her to hit her back against the faucet and her legs to fly up slightly as she was suddenly thrown back. Bill on the other hand stumbled back into the towel rack behind him, hitting his head against the metal rod and making him wince in pain.
"If you guys could stop sucking faces long enough for me to go to the bathroom, that would be fucking fantastic!" Richie yelled from the other side of the door as he banged his fist against the wood.
"Richard Tozier, I swear to God!" Y/N exclaimed, but Bill was quick to go over to her and grab onto her hands, his body shaking softly as he chuckled.
Y/N frowned at the door before letting her eyes flicker over to Bill. He stared at her with that small twinkle in his eyes, his laughter filling the air and making her whole body warm almost instantly. She couldn't stop herself from smiling as Bill helped her out of the sink and off of the counter.
They didn't even have time to move before Richie was knocking on the door again, only this time more aggressively.
"I'm being serious guys! I gotta piss!"

Bill watched silently as Y/N talked to Steve on the opposite side of the room, their voices low as they argued back and forth, bickering like the brother and sister they practically were. Bill didn't exactly know what they were arguing about. He had just gotten down to the basement after letting Eddie check the small cut on his arm to find Steve and Y/N talking quietly in the corner while the Losers and Party sat talking to each other on the other side of the room.
"What's wrong with those two?" Eddie asked, finally voicing Bill's thoughts as he plopped done on the couch next to Richie. He threw his feet on top of the boy's lap and Richie scrunched his nose up in disgust, but didn't make a move to push the boy away.
The others all glanced over at Steve and Y/N and Dustin chuckled before saying, "Oh, them? Y/N's probably just trying to get Steve to stay an extra day."
"Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she's trying to convince him to never leave," Lucas said, a small smile on his face as he watched his friend who was currently tugging on Steve's arm in a pleading way.
"Shit," Richie muttered as he glanced over at Wheeler and Eleven who were sitting beside him. "I forgot you guys have to leave. It's going to be fucking weird without you all around."
"Don't go soft on me now, Tozier," Wheeler joked earning a roll of the eyes from Richie and a punch to the shoulder. Wheeler just chuckled and whacked Richie back before saying, "I know what you mean. Y/N's talked about you guys so much that it kind of feels like we've known each other forever instead of only a couple of days."
A small silence fell among the group before Beverly finally spoke up, "It's going to be hard for her."
Everyone solemnly nodded, knowing exactly what Beverly meant. Moving away from the Party had been one of the hardest things Y/N had ever had to do, saying goodbye to them a second time wouldn't be any easier.
"She'll be okay," Will said with a sad smile on his face. His eyes flickered up to look at everyone before he looked at the Losers. "She's got you guys to help her."
Ben smiled softly at Will before saying, "Doesn't mean it won't hurt any less."
The Party smiled sadly at that, the thought of having to leave Y/N again bothering them just as much as it would bother her. Not seeing each other for two years had been hard, but now they were going to have to say goodbye all over again and it was no surprise that none of them wanted to do that.
A loud squeal had the group turning and seeing Y/N smiling widely as she jumped up to toss her arms around Steve's neck. The older boy chuckled and hugged the girl back all while Y/N repeatedly said, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
She managed to pry herself away from the boy before looking to her friends with twinkling eyes. "He said we get one more day!" she exclaimed excitedly before she was hugging Steve again.
"No surprise there," Eleven muttered with a chuckle, all of them knowing that Steve was a sucker when it came to Y/N. He would do anything just to make the girl smile, so they were honestly surprised he hadn't agreed to stay the next year.
Before anyone could process what was happening, Y/N had jumped over the couch and tossed herself between Richie and Eddie, her legs instantly resting on top of Eddie's as she leaned against the boy. Richie rolled his eyes at her and gave her a loving smile before playfully shoving her away, earning a smack from both Y/N and Eddie in response before Eddie hugged the girl close to him.
Steve walked over to the group before sitting down on the arm rest of the chair Bill was sitting in, the two boys sharing a small nod in greeting before Steve was looking over at Y/N fondly.
"Okay, squirt. You want one more day, so I'm going to give you one more day. But I actually want to do something tomorrow that doesn't involve fighting some demon or entering an alternate dimension, so if you have something else we could do, that would be great," Steve joked, the others all laughing and nodding their heads in agreement.
"Oh, don't worry about that," Y/N said with a small grin from where she was currently suffocating in Eddie and Richie's affection, the two boys just being a tad bit more affectionate towards the girl after having almost lost her.
"Leave it to me."

"You want us to what?" Wheeler questioned, his eyes staring down at the water below them before him and the rest of the Party looked to the Losers who were all grinning at them. It was the next day and after having a movie marathon the night before, the kids were now all at the quarry ready to spend their last day together and just be kids.
"Come on, Wheeler. It'll be fun," Y/N assured him as she pulled her clothes off, leaving herself in nothing but her underwear. She was careful as she walked over to the ledge, but the bandage around her calf was secure enough that she knew it wouldn't fall off.
Steve's eyes widened and he put his hands on his hips. "Y/N L/N!" he exclaimed, but the girl only gave him a nervous smile and a salute before she fell backwards off of the cliff and down towards the water.
"Y/N!" the Party all yelled as they rushed to the edge of the cliff, watching as the girl dove into the water before emerging with joyous laughter falling from her lips.
They didn't have time to process anything else before the Losers were suddenly jumping off to join the girl, their clothes also ditched alongside Y/N's leaving them in nothing but their underwear.
Steve shook his head in disbelief and ran a hand through his hair before looking up at the Party only to find them laughing as they too ditched their clothes and began to jump into the water below.
"Hey!" Steve yelled as he tried to grab for them, but Dustin was quick to grab the boy's arms and walk him away and to the side.
"Okay, Steve. I know you're not used to having fun," Dustin began, earning a small glare thrown in his direction. "But calm down and just live a little, okay?"
Then, before Steve could process what was happening, Dustin had tossed his hat onto the ground and was running over to the cliff where he then jumped off, doing a small flip in the air before diving into the water below earning a round of applause and laughter from the kids below.
"Shit," Steve muttered once he realized he was alone. He let out a small sigh before beginning to shrug off his clothes. In less than a minute, he was jumping off the cliff and into the water below while everyone cheered him on.
When Steve broke through the surface of the water, he was instantly tackled from behind by Y/N causing the two to fall underwater again. Steve managed to get back above the water and he glared playfully at the girl before splashing her in the face, earning a shriek from the girl before she splashed the boy back.
"Water fight!" Richie exclaimed thus starting one of the most intense water fights that either group had ever been a part of.
Before they knew it the groups were tackling each other into the water, their laughter echoing through the quarry while they enjoyed the time they had together.
After a while Y/N found herself pausing as she took a moment to look around at her friends, her eyes flickering over each of them as a big smile broke out on her face. There was Beverly, Max, Lucas, and Will who were all still splashing each other, the girls being on one team while the boys were on the other.
Then there was Ben, Mike, and Dustin who were in the middle of having a canon ball contest. Next was Richie, Stan, Wheeler, and Eleven who were in the middle of an intense game of chicken fight, Richie being on Stan's shoulders and trying to shove Eleven off of Wheeler as the two teens laughed and playfully pushed each other.
Finally was Steve and Eddie who were currently having a contest on who could dive into the water the best while Bill, their judge, laughed and watched them from the side.
Y/N had never felt happier than she was in that moment, the relief of having her two friend groups be able to get along so well making her heart swell with joy. She had always looked forward to the day the two groups would meet and now the time had finally arrived. Even if their meeting hadn't been on good circumstances, all that mattered was what was happening in that moment, a moment where both groups had come together to laugh and make memories as if they had been friends their whole lives.
The sight of them all was enough to bring tears to her eyes, her smile big and wide as she realized just how much love she was surrounded by.
"L/N!" Wheeler's voice rang out as he waved a hand at her, Eleven having fallen off and Wheeler now needing a new partner to defeat Richie once and for all. "Come on!"
Y/N chuckled and was quick to swim across the quarry before reaching Wheeler's side. Wheeler disappeared under the water and she was on his shoulders within seconds before Y/N looked over at Richie who had his eyebrows raised at her.
"Oh, you think you can take this, L/N?" Richie taunted, his usual smirk dawning his face. "Eleven went down pretty fast." That comment earned a small playful glare from said girl while Richie just winked at her before looking back at Y/N. "You sure you want to try?"
"Bring it, Tozier," Y/N smirked while Stan and Wheeler shared a look and shook their heads at their friends.
Y/N and Richie leaned out and instantly locked hands before both began pushing the other as hard as they could. It took a minute but Wheeler pushed Y/N forward and she was able to use that force to shove Richie off of Stan, both boys crying out in surprise as they fell into the water.
Stan was the first to break the surface and he grinned as he wiped the water from his eyes. "Nice one, Y/N," Stan complimented as he smiled at the girl.
"Stanley Uris!" Richie complained as he popped up beside the boy. "How are we supposed to win when I'm the only one doing any of the work?"
Stan rolled his eyes slightly at the boy before splashing some water in his face, instantly making Richie go quiet before Richie reached out and splashed Stan back.
That was how the groups ended up in their second water fight of the day, only this time it ended a little quicker than the last.
Y/N found herself getting out of the water not too long after the second water fight and she quickly pulled herself over to her usual rock where she sprawled out and began to sunbathe. She let her eyelids flutter shut and smiled softly as the sun kissed her skin.
It wasn't long before she felt some water fall on top of her and she scrunched her nose up before opening her eyes to see Bill standing above her with a horrified expression on his face. "I'm sorry," he quickly said, backing away slightly and getting onto the ground so that he wouldn't get any more water on the girl.
Y/N chuckled and shrugged before saying, "It's okay. I haven't dried much yet anyways."
