Y/N's POV
I looked at the large building right in front of me. It was just like tomorrow when I was just passing by this building. But today, I'll be officially working here, at Play M Entertainment. I took my Identification Card and smiled as I read it.
Y/F/N, Strategic Management
I showed it to the security guard then walked in. The interior was clean and spacious, and it's unbelievable to imagine I'd be working here.
I got to the elevator to get to the area I'll be working at. The reason why I wanted to work here is because of their famous girl group, Apink. I'm not so sure if I'll work with them but either way, it's not under my control whether I could or maybe for a different artist.
I got to the room and saw five other people that I'll be in the same team with. They were all doing their own thing so I don't think they noticed my presence.
"Good day! I'm Y/F/N. I'm the new recruit here in the Strategic Management team. I hope we will work well together!" I greeted enthusiastically, making them look at me.
They all greeted me together as they stood up. " Sorry about a while ago, we were quite busy so we didn't notice you immediately," One of them apologizes. "Oh, it's fine!" I replied.
One by one, we did a quick introduction to each other. It didn't need to be in detail since our work will be more significant rather than knowing each other. During our time together, we'll eventually get to know each other.
I sat at the empty desk which only had a computer and a small placard of my name on it. I settled down my things and started a few things.
The place and work were all new to me so I started familiarizing a few things before starting my actual work to do.
While I was doing my own thing, everyone else stood up in unison, making me do the same. I turned around and saw our team's manager alongside a tall male.
We greeted our manager and the latter as well. I figured his name is Han Seungwoo, but I haven't heard of him before so I casually just greeted like how the others did.
Both of them smiled back as we greeted, and I'd say, that Seungwoo guy has a charming smile. I'm assuming he's one of the artists considering his appearance.
"Good morning Strategic Management Team, this is Han Seungwoo. He's a rookie soloist under our company." Our manager introduces. "Hello, I'm Han Seungwoo. I just debuted a week ago. I hope we will work well together." He greets with charisma.
"Oh! Y/N, come here," Our manager says, making me come to her. "You're the new recruit, right?" She asks and I nodded. "I've heard a lot about you. How about you come to my office in your free time?" She asks.
"Uh, sure. I will!" I replied with a hint of enthusiasm. "Okay, good. See you later!" She says and exits the room. All of us bowed as they left.
[♡]
"What?! Are you serious?" I asked in complete shock. "No, I'm not kidding," She replies. "Although that isn't my job title," I said, slightly reluctant.
"Are you saying you couldn't do it?" She asks. "That's not what I'm trying to say. It's just that I've never become a personal assistant. For an idol to be particular." I replied.
"You'll still do your job anyway. Let's just stay it's a bit of extra work. Of course, you'll receive credit for it. What do you say?" She explains. For a few moments, I thought about it.
"I'll do it," I reply with persistence. "I knew you would, don't let me down!" She enthusiastically says before leaving the office.
I never really expected any of this coming. Being a personal assistant for an artist is something way farther than what I expected. Even though I'm not experienced, I'm willing to do my best.
I went back to the office and resumed what I was doing. "Y/N? I thought your office got transferred?" One of them asked. "Our manager said you'll be transferred to the 6th floor," He replied.
"Really? I think I wasn't informed," I replied. "While you haven't laid down your things, go bring it there," He said. "Thanks for informing me," I said while I hurriedly packed up a few things.
"I'll go now, nice meeting you all!" I said and carried the large box while on my way. Just after a few moments, I got to my destination and spotted our manager.
"Oh, Y/N, you're here! I forgot to tell you about starting today. I guess the others told you?" She says and I nodded despite the box blocking my face.
"I think you should go in now, your box over there looks heavy," She says, opening the large glass door for me. I stepped in and placed down my box for a while.
The door was dimly lit considering there were only 2 small windows on the two sides of the room. I got startled as the black office chair in front of us turns, showing a figure with his legs crossed.
"Oh! You're here," Seungwoo says in a cheerful tone, contrasting from his appearance. "I don't think I've introduced her before-"
"Y/F/N, Strategic Management Team. You came from Cube Entertainment, right?" He asks, knowing the details. I slightly bow and nodded, shocked about his words.
"I guess there's no introduction needed," My manager says. "Your office is right over there, and good luck," She whispers the last sentence before leaving the two of us in the room.
"It's nice to meet you, I hope we get along!" I said cheerfully. I picked up my box and went over to my new workspace. Before I could reach the door, I felt the weight over my arms lighten.
I turned to my side and looked up. "T-thanks-" "Are you going to open the door or what?" He coldly asks, making me alarmed. "U-uh, sorry," I immediately opened the door and stood aside. He placed down the box on the desk and left without a word.
That slightly frightened me after seeing him differently. His cheerful attitude changed to a darker character in just a blink of an eye. I didn't mind it for now and focused on getting my place prepared.
"Y/N," I heard him call me. "Yes, sir?" I rushed to him. "Get the box of albums on the second floor. Just ask them the ones I have to sign and they'll give it to you," He orders me. "Okay, sir," I replied.
"Wait," He halts me, making me turn back around. "Stop calling me like that, just casually talk to me," He says. "I understand," I replied one last time and excused myself.
I got to the elevator and went down to the second floor. I followed his instructions in detail and got what he needed. I walked back to the elevator and reached it on time before it could fully close.

There aren't many people in the elevator, but when I entered, the elevator reached the maximum weight limit. I bowed apologetically and stepped out.
I sighed and was left with no choice. I decided to take the stairs from the second to the sixth floor. It was vigorous enough climbing up four sets of stairs while I was wearing heels.
As I finally stepped on the sixth floor, I slowly put down the heavy box and caught up with my breath. I resumed and hastily walked back to the office.
"What took you so long?" Seungwoo asks, folding his arms as he stood up. "I had to take the stairs because the elevator was full-" "Enough excuses, just open the box," He coldly says making me jolt up.
"Y-yes," I removed the tape and opened the flaps of the box. "Sign them," He says while he wrote down something on a piece of paper. "Just copy my signature," He places down the paper on the table in front of me.
"B-but, that's going to be a forgery," I said. "So are you taking down my orders?" He asks, inching closer to me. "Do you want to get fired on your first day?" He bends down, getting closer to my face.
"No, I'll do it right away," I said, immediately rushing to start the task. I took a seat and looked carefully at his signature, then copying it on the album.
Why would he be so indolent to sign albums? It doesn't even require much effort. He can perform on stage but he couldn't finish a task like this?
"Looks like this isn't your first time forging, huh?" He disrupts my train of thought as he looked at the album I just signed. "Why would I?" I replied casually, shocking him a bit.
He sat across me and looked at me in the eye. "You're quite feisty, huh?" He asks as I was still focused on the task. "I like it," He comments, making me look at him uncannily, then back at the albums.
He left without another word, knowing I wouldn't respond to any of his questions. Somehow, I found peace right after.
I took a peek inside the cardboard box and noticed there were more than I expected. It would be around fifty more, on average. I heaved a deep sigh and continued to get it all over with.
"There's a lot, right?" Seungwoo asks. I hummed in agreement, slightly uninterested to start a conversation with him. Before he could respond, I heard his phone ring. Without a word, he left the room, still talking on the phone.
[♡]
I placed down the last album on the table and sat back on my seat, massaging my hands after signing the piles of albums. It was like committing a crime fifty times at once. Nevertheless, I was able to be productive for someone.
After my short rest, I placed back the albums to its box and closed the flaps. I went back to my workspace and stared at my blank monitor for a while. I heard the door open, which I assumed was Seungwoo.
I got a call from our team manager, so I picked up. "Y/N, we have an urgent meeting. It's at the third-floor meeting room at the end of the hall," She informs. "Okay, I'll be there soon," I replied and hung up.
I walked fastly about to head out until Seungwoo halted me. "Hey, you. Are you done with those?" He blatantly asks while he sat on his usual seat. "Yeah, why?" I replied. "Bring it back where you got it then," He orders.
"I have an urgent meeting to go to," I replied, reaching for the door. "There you go, doing it again," He says, making me stop at my tracks. "Doing what again?" I asked. "You keep declining my orders even if it's your orders. You agreed to this anyway, unless you were forced." He says.
He knows how to push my buttons, I hate it.
I sighed and hurriedly carried the box out with me. Thankfully, there wasn't anyone on the elevator so I didn't hesitate and got on. As soon as I got to the second floor, I ran back to where I got it.
"What's this?" One of the staff asked. "The signed albums," I answered. "Han Seungwoo's albums?" He asked and I nodded. "You're supposed to bring that to the fifth-floor office, not here," He says, making me annoyed.
"Could you bring it there?" I asked. "I'm sorry, but that isn't my job," He replied then left. I got so mad knowing I had no choice but to do it myself. I went to the fifth floor with no worry and gave it to the office responsible for it.
Thank god I got it right and didn't have to run around the building for this stupid box of albums. I ran back to the elevator and went to the third floor for the meeting, which I was clearly late for.
I knocked on the door since the meeting was ongoing. I went in and bowed apologetically. "I'm sorry, I'm late. I had to run some errands," I apologized.
"How are you late on the first day of work?" Our manager questioned me. "Han Seungwoo asked me to bring his signed albums," I explained. "Really? But his fan meet is scheduled next week," She says, making me wide-eyed at the revelation.
"Anyway, It's okay. It's just your first day so I'll let this slide. You'll get used to it, so take a seat for now," She considers. I bowed, thanking her and taking a seat
"Anyway, back to where we left off. Our team was tasked to discuss the disbandment of VICTON, due to lack of popularity." She explains. "Ever since the debut of the seven-member group last year, they haven't been getting much attention, which affects the company's funds," She continues.
She gave us each stapled pages of paper containing an evaluation sheet of each member. "Fill up the evaluation form by tomorrow. That's it for today, you can go back now." She says and leaves the meeting room.
On my way out, I heard a few things from the others. "I knew it was gonna happen soon, they didn't impress me too," "Their debut showcase cost so much but not all the seats were bought, what a waste." I heard their comments.
Since I'm new, I wanted to see it for myself. I searched them up, starting with their profile. For a first impression, they seemed to look fine. While scrolling down, I carefully looked at the information listed on each member and gave an honest evaluation.
After I scrolled to the last member, I noticed an extra extension that was titled; Former Members. And now that I noticed it, our manager said they're a seven-member group yet the evaluation form only had six members.
I looked at the section and was utterly shocked, having an unexpected realization. I couldn't be mistaken, it's Seungwoo. Yes, the Han Seungwoo I know.
I looked at the information and I knew it's him. According to the profile, he left due to personal reasons, which means it is unknown. I wanted a credible answer yet I'm hesitating to ask him myself.
I searched for almost every article regarding his departure, but these didn't answer my question. Considering they're not so known as a group, it would be difficult to find answers on the internet alone.
While I got immersed with all this, I put it off my mind for a while and focus on the evaluation sheet. I did a few finishing touches on the scoring and wrapped it up with my signature. I slouched back and looked back at the sheet.
I've done a lot of things that day, realizing how fast time passed by. It was already 9 o'clock which meant I'm off work. "I'm off, bye," I monotonously said as I left the office, not looking at him in the eye. He didn't respond so I left without any worry.
Seungwoo's POV
While I was composing a new song, something was bugging me while I worked. I walked to Y/N's office since she left her computer monitor open, emitting lightly noticeable from afar. She doesn't even lock the door so I had no worry getting in.
I pressed the power button, immediately shutting it off. While I reached for the button, I noticed a file behind the computer. I picked it up and read the title.
VICTON Disbandment Evaluation Sheet
I was at a loss of words. How would the company come up with this conclusion in the first place? I could assume none of the members wants this. Just because they're not popular enough, they're going to oust them for their lack of popularity.
To think about it, companies just want money. And if they don't get enough of it, they'll find a way to get it and remove anything that's preventing them to do so.
"Why did you want to meet me?" I asked my manager. At first, he didn't say a word. His face was uneasy as if he didn't want to say what he wanted to. "It's about this," He says, passing me a form with a petition on it.
I went wide-eyed after reading the contents. There was a petition about me, and judging it by the title, I didn't like it. The fans wanted me to leave the group and threatened that they wouldn't support the group anymore if I don't leave the group.
"W-why? What did I do wrong?" I asked, placing down the form. "We have no idea either. The fans started this petition so we have no control over it," He says. "We're not forcing you to leave, so it's solely your decision whether you do or not-" He explains further. "No, I'm not doing it," With that, I stormed out of the room.
[♡]
On our second fan meet, it was emptier than usual. I noticed several fans looking at me and then leaving. I think this is what they meant. I couldn't stand seeing the members suffering because of me.
Without any warning, I left voluntarily and decided to tell my manager. "Seungwoo, what brings you here-" "I'm signing the contract. I'm leaving the group." I said without hesitation. "I don't want to see the members like this. I don't want them to suffer because of me, so don't change my mind."
I was so mad that I didn't know what to do. I was in no power to change anything so I decided to forget about it for now. It's hurting me, but if I let people know that I know, it will just hurt me more. So this is the best I can do for now.
Y/N's POV
After all the ruckus I've been through yesterday, I wasn't feeling well, especially my feet. I know for a fact that I have difficulties wearing heels, but it's nothing I could do about.
As soon I got in, Seungwoo looks daggers at me. Before I could even finish my greeting, he already orders me something first thing in the morning.
"Get me an Americano," He says. "Uh, okay," I replied, dropping my bag at my office before getting him his coffee. Not long after, I got back with his coffee.
"Be careful, it's hot-" While I placed it down, he just snatched it from my hand as if he couldn't feel the heat. He sipped some and stopped, his face displaying a disgusted look.
"It's bitter, add a bit of sugar," He says. So I took it back and added a teaspoon of sugar and mixed it, then went back. He sipped and hummed in satisfaction. I bowed and left to go to my office.
I noticed the evaluation form was left open. I think I just forgot it yesterday so I folded it back to the first page and placed it beside me for the time being.
Through the glass window, I noticed Seungwoo from afar who was devouring his coffee despite its temperature. At this point, I was slightly concerned but he might just get mad at me if I asked.
After doing a few things, it was already afternoon so I decided to pass the evaluation form to our manager.
[♡]
"Y/N," Seungwoo calls me for the nth time. I went to ask him what he wanted at this time. "Get me another Americano," He instructs. "But you don't like having more than a cup of coffee," I said in defense.
"How do you know that?" He asks. "Why would I work here if I don't know who I'm working for?" I boldly asked. "Because people that work here just applied to see their idols every day," He says, folding his arms.
"Not everyone," I replied. "Whatever, just don't do it anymore," He says, standing up. "So why would you ask for another cup of coffee? Is anything bothering you?" I asked, stopping him at his tracks.
"Why would you care?" "Even if it's not part of my job, I'd care about your well-being as a human," I said, receiving no response. "Is it because of your friends' disbandment?" I asked, making him stare at me.
"Just because you can't get mad at someone, you're going to pour out all your anger at someone," I said.
In a matter of seconds, a tear falls from his eye. He broke down in front of me, kneeling on the floor as he cried on his palms. I knelt down and patted his back, attempting to make him feel better. But it probably just made him worse since he cried harder.
He suddenly removes his palms from his face and looked. "Is there anything you can do about it?" He asks. "I- I don't think so-" He suddenly hugs me, crying on my shoulder. At first, I didn't know how to react, but my body instantly made its way to his hair, slowly patting him.
