While Zuko and I washed dishes in the back room, I could see him glancing at me every so often. Mostly toward the necklace that hung around my neck. I looked up to him from the corner of my eye, the corner of my lips twirled upward. "Is there a problem, Zuko?"
Zuko quickly shook his head, "What? No, no. Why would there be a problem?"
I shrugged, looking back down at the soap-covered dish in my hand. "Oh, I don't know. You keep looking at me every 5 seconds. Are you admiring me Lee?"
Zuko scoffed, "You wish."
I playfully nudged him, making him lightly laugh. "No, um... are you sure you like the necklace?"
"I love the necklace. You don't think I do?" I asked.
"Well... it isn't the one you wanted. I didn't have enough money for the one you liked." Zuko sighed.
Zuko and Iroh don't let me pitch in for the rent. They only let me buy food, which is why I have more saved up.
I smiled sadly at the young man next to me. I leaned my head on his arm then whispered, "Zuko, I love this necklace even more than the last one. Trust me, I'd rather have this one."
"Really?"
"Really."
Zuko nodded. "Alright then... uh, we're finished here."
We walked back to the front of the shop. When my eyes wandered to a table Kage was seated, he waved me over.
I walked over to him and smiled, "Is there something else I can get you?"
"Hm, not really." He shook his head. "But you can go on a date with me."
I was a little taken aback. I didn't really expect this. I cleared my throat. "I-I've never been on a date before. I don't think I'd be very good at it."

"Is this you rejecting me?"
"No. I'm just warning you."
"So you're saying yes?"
I couldn't help but think about Zuko. Surely Zuko couldn't return the feelings I have for him. Wait... did I really...
"Jade."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Is tonight good for you?"
"Yeah."
"Great. I'll meet you here at sundown."
Kage then stood up from his table and walked out of the tea shop. I walked back over Iroh and he smirked at me. "He seems to come around very often."
"Yeah... he just asked me out on a date."
"Oh, I hope you said yes!" He grinned.
I nodded. I picked up a cup of water and brought it to my lips.
"How wonderful! I could already picture your children running around the tea shop."
I nearly choked on my water after his sentence. As I wiped away my mouth with my sleeve, Zuko walked over to us with his brows furrowed.
"Uncle, we have a problem." He whispered. "One of the customers is on to us. Don't look now, but there is a girl over there at the corner table. She knows we're Fire Nation."
With wide eyes, both Iroh and I looked over at the said girl. But Zuko pulled us both back. "Didn't I just say don't look!?"
"You're right, Zuko. I've seen that girl in here quite a lot." Iroh said. "Just like Ruka's friend, it seems to me she has quite a little crush on you!"
"What?!" Zuko and I both said with wide eyes.
"Thank you for the tea."
We all turned our backs around. The said girl handed out her coins to Zuko to pay for the tea. Zuko took them from her then we all turned around again.

"What's your name?" She asked.
Zuko turned around and introduced himself. "My name's Lee. My uncle and I just moved here."
I cleared my throat, reminding him that I was here too.
"Oh, and our family friend too." He said. I turned around and sent her a smile.
"Hi Lee. My name's Jin. Thank you and, well, I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime?" Jin asked. Before Zuko could respond, Iroh swooped in and answered for him. "He'd love to! As a matter of fact, Jade here is going out tonight with a young fellow. Why don't you four go on a double date?"
Jin smiled. "Great! I'll meet you in front of the shop at sundown." She turned around and began to leave the shop.
Zuko and I both looked at Iroh with annoyed faces. "Thank me later." Iroh chuckled before walking to a table with a tray of tea in his hands.

Just a Game
“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?
