《Billy Hargrove imagines》The Worst Date
Advertisement
Your brother, Mark, was pissed when he found out you were going on a date with Billy Hargrove. He couldn’t believe that you accepted his offer but, you thought Billy was good looking, and he was always nice to you so, that’s why you accepted his offer. Mark was being super protective of you, he told you not to get your hopes up, and that he would kill Billy if he ever hurt you. You reassured your brother that none of that was going to happen.
Billy was supposed to be here 10 minutes ago. You sat on the couch in your livingroom, waiting for Billy. You could see your brother shaking his head when he realized that you had been waiting for 10 minutes. After about 5 more minutes of waiting he was finally here, you heard him pull up and you walked outside.
“Hey Y/N.” Billy seemed nervous.
“Hey Billy, you look amazing.”
His cheeks were slightly tinted pink at your comment.
“Thanks, you look nice too."
“Oh. Thanks Billy.”
Nice? Really? You spent all day stressing out about what you were going to wear and you decided on a yellow sundress, and you took forever on your hair. But, all he said was that you looked nice. He’s probably just nervous, you were just reading into it too much.
He was taking you to the diner. Your time at the diner was fun for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes he reached for the salt and ended up knocking your drink over and it ended up in your lap. He apologized profusely, he even offered to take you home if you wanted to change but, you said you were fine.
The rest of your time at the diner was so awkward. The conversations you were having were about his car or basketball, it was like he was trying to impress you but, it wasn’t really working. At about 8:30 Billy asked if you were ready to go, and you said yes. He called the waitress over and asked if he could split the bill. The waitress brought back two separate bills and you both paid and left.

He was driving to you back to your house, the car ride was awkward, neither of you really wanted to talk about what just happened at the diner. He pulled up to your house and you said your goodbyes. You walked into your house and saw your brother waiting for you.
“So, how was the date?”
“It was great.”
You lied, you didn’t want your brother to go to school on Monday and try to start a fight with Billy.
“Really?”
His raised an eyebrow.
“Yes, really. I’m gonna go change out of these clothes, so, is there anything else you want to ask me?”
“No, I’ll see you in the morning. Goodnight Y/N.”
“Goodnight Mark.”
You walked upstairs and changed into your sleepwear. You were dreading Monday, you didn’t want to see Billy, you didn’t want to tell your friends what an awful night it had been.
The weekend was a blur, you managed to avoid Mark, Billy and your friends. You knew Mark would just try to get more information about your date out of you, you really didn’t want to talk to Billy, and you didn’t want your friends to ask you about your date.
It was Monday now, you and Mark had gotten out of the car and you walked towards your friends.
“Y/N, so, tell us how was your date with Billy Hargrove went!”
They were way too happy for a Monday morning. So, you decided to mess with them.
“Oh, you guys want to know everything? Well, sorry girls I don’t make out in the back seat of Billy’s Camaro and tell.”
Your friends looked shocked.
“Y/N are you being serious right now? You made out with Billy Hargrove? The Billy Hargrove?”
“No, actually I didn’t. Sorry to disappoint but, I was just kidding.”

“What the hell Y/N? Then what did you guys really do?”
“Well, first, he was about 15 minutes late, I wore my super cute yellow sundress, I told him he looked amazing, then he told me that I looked nice.”
You saw your friends’ faces crinkle up at the word “Nice”.
“Okay, then what?”
“Well then we got to the diner, he spilled my drink in my lap, then we split the bill, and I was home before 9.”
Your friends gave you pitiful looks.
“Gosh, we’re sorry Y/N. You were really excited too. What did you tell your brother?”
“I told him it was great, look the last thing I want to happen today is Mark and Billy getting into another fight, so, I just lied.”
You shrugged your shoulders and gave your friends a weak smile.
“Have you talked to Billy since the date?”
“No, I avoided him at all costs. It was the worst date I’ve ever been on and I went on a date with Tommy H.”
“Well, it looks like you might not be able to avoid Billy any longer because he’s walking towards us.”
You heard Billy clear his throat from behind you.
“Hey, ladies can you give Y/N and I some privacy?”
Your friends left, there was an awkward silence between the two of you.
“Listen, our date last week wasn’t one of my finer moments and I know your brother must be pissed at me, and you probably won’t say yes but, I’d like to redo our date if that’s possible. Like tonight at 7.”
“Mark isn’t pissed, I told the date went well because I didn’t want you two fighting today. We can redo our date.”
“Fuck yes! Okay I’ll pick you up tonight, I won’t be late I swear!”
Billy walked away grinning ear to ear. You started walking towards your first class of the day. Soon enough the school day was over and you were back home getting ready to go on your redo date with Billy.
It was 6:55 when you heard a knock on your door. You tried to answer the door before Mark could.
“Hargrove.”
Your brother said through gritted teeth.
“Mark. Where’s Y/N?”
You took that as your cue and you moved Mark to the side.
“I’m right here. Bye Mark!”
“Y/N, you look beautiful tonight”
You felt your cheeks warm up and you shut your front door before following him to his car. You two got in the car and started making conversation. You got to the diner, and took your seat.
“So, why did you want to redo our date?”
You asked Billy, you were genuinely curious.
“Well, I really like you and I realized that I should’ve done better on our first date. And when I told Carol she told me I was ”Dumb as shit“ for what I did on our date.”
You let out a small chuckle at the “Dumb as shit” part.
“Well, I really like you too Billy.”
Billy looked somewhat shocked.
“Wait really?”
“Why would I say yes to a second date if I didn’t like you?”
“Oh, well this might be a little forward but, do you want to be my girlfriend?”
You pretended to think about it just to tease him a little.
“I would love to be your girlfriend Billy”

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?

How will Zavier navigate in a world where he holds its holy grail within his own identity and who can he really trust in a world of such contrived obliviousness?
