《Billy Hargrove imagines》Dinner

Steve had decided to pick a fight with you before going to school this morning. He had recently found out that you and Billy had been dating for a couple of months now. Tommy H. told him out of spite, which led Steve to tell your parents about your new boyfriend.
“I just don’t think that you understand Y/N! Hargrove isn’t good enough for you!”
Steve was trying to convince you that Billy wasn’t going to be good enough for you.
“Why? Because you hate him?”
“Uh…no?”
“You’re being ridiculous Steve! You need to stop actually because he’s coming over for dinner.”
“Wait, he’s coming to our house?”
“Yep” you said popping the ‘p’ at the end.
“Is he going to use the front door or is he going to sneak in through your window?”
You had your back towards Steve but you could see the shit eating grin he had on his face.
“He will be using the front door, asshole. Can we go to school now?”
“Yeah grab your shit we gotta pick up Dustin too”
You both had finally left to go pick up Dustin, you got out of the car so that Dustin could get in the back.
“Hey Dustin, guess what I found out the other day”
You rolled your eyes you knew what Steve was going to say. In all honesty, Dustin probably knew already, Max is part of the party now so, she probably told him.
“Oh is about Y/N and Billy?” Dustin’s eyes lit up, he knew Steve would be pissed.
“How the hell do you know already?” Steve whipped his head to Dustin for a second before turning his attention back to the road.
“Dude, seriously? Max told me”
“Well, aren’t you going to freak out? I mean Y/N’s dating Billy!”

“I don’t really care.”
“What do you mean you don’t care? He beat the shit out of me, he hurt Lucas, he’s a giant dick to Max, so what the hell?” Steve was upset with how Dustin reacted.
“Well, when they first started dating, she came to me because she knew you would flip your shit.”
“I told Dustin, that I told Billy that I wasn’t going to date him, unless he apologized, sincerely, to you, the party, and Max. And that he couldn’t tell me that he apologized, you guys had to be the ones to tell me.”
“Really?” Steve was shocked, he couldn’t believe that you would do something like that.
“He really had to work in order for me to date him.”
-
You remembered it like it was yesterday, after many failed attempts of Billy trying to ask you out, you told him that he needed to change in order to go out with you. You told he needed to make amends with the party and Steve. He really didn’t want to, he wished that you would just go out with him because he’s the Billy Hargrove but, you wouldn’t budge.
So, Billy went out and apologized profusely to the party, especially Lucas and Max. He had tried to apologize to Steve every damn day but, Steve wouldn’t give him the time of day.
-
After hearing this Steve realized how much of a dick he was being. This also didn’t mean that he was going to let Billy off the hook though. You were his little sister after all, even if you were only a year younger, it didn’t matter to him.
Steve finally pulled into the school parking lot and you got out of the car and ran to Billy, you gave him a quick hug and grabbed his had so that he could walk you to your first class.

The school day was eventually over and you rushed to Steve’s car. You felt so nervous about the dinner tonight, you told Billy that the dinner would be at your house but, he needed to dress nice. You were too deep in thought to notice Steve approach the car.
“Y/N, you good to go?” Steve raised an eyebrow at you, he noticed your nervous behaviour.
“Yeah let’s go.”
The car ride home was quiet. As soon as you got home, you rushed inside to help your mom get dinner ready. It was 4:30, Billy would be at your house at 6:30, which meant that you had 2 hours to get dinner ready and to get yourself ready.
At 5:30 your mom told you to go ahead and get dressed. You sat on your bed, staring at your closet, you finally settled on your nicest dress. You went downstairs to wait for Billy.
6:27. Three more minutes.
6:28. Two more minutes.
6:29. One more minute.
That’s when you heard two knocks, you stood up quickly and went to go answer the door but, Steve beat you to it.
“Hargrove.”
“Harrington.”
They both said their last names through gritted teeth. Steve let Billy in and you walked towards them both. Billy was in a white dress shirt, a blue tie, and khakis.
“Billy Hargrove in khakis and a tie? I never thought I’d see the day.” You chuckled lightly.
“Well don’t you look amazing. Where’s your mom, I got her these flowers.”
“Well aren’t you sweet, she’s in the kitchen with my dad.”
Your parents loved Billy and it seemed Steve that was coming around to you and Billy dating. Billy 'left’ at 8 but, you knew that he was just pretending to leave and that he would be in your room before you could get upstairs.

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).
