to Harry happened to almost anybody else, Saffron would have had no choice but to find the humour in the situation. Simply due to the fact that it was unbelievably comical how the situation was handled.

Harry had broken almost the entirety of his left side; his arm and his elbow. Luckily, due to magic, that wasn't a big issue. A witch with the capabilities of Madam Pomfrey would be able to fix that easily. But Lockhart decided that as a self-proclaimed expert in healing, that he would fix Harry on the spot. That decision ended in fixing Harry's broken arm . . . by removing all of the bones in his arm.

"He has to go to the hospital wing," Oliver Wood said loudly, glaring at Lockhart as Harry's arm had become a flobby mess and was essentially like a sock filled with blood. That was such a far fetched comparison but that was what Saffron was seeing. Oliver seemed furious that he had potentially lost his Seeker for the next match due to Lockhart's incompetence. It seemed that nobody seemed quite sure how long it would take to grow the bones back. So, Oliver, the Weasley twins, Ron and Dean all lifted Harry up to take him to Madam Pomfrey in order to find out.

"What have you got to say about Lockhart now, Hermione?" Saffron asked her curtly, as the pair of them, Lavender and Parvati followed the crowd of boys who were carrying Harry to the Hospital Wing. Harry had said he could walk but none of them wanted to risk any possible knock-on effects that Lockhart's spell could have had.

"It was an accident," insisted Hermione hotly. "Accidents can happen to even the best wizards,"

"It didn't look like an accident to me," said Parvati stiffly. Saffron gawked at her. Parvati had been one of Lockhart's cheerleaders for quite some time, but it looked as though the tables had turned in relation to her view on him "It looked like somebody who didn't know what he was doing,"

"Because you know what you're doing, Parv?" Lavender asked her rhetorically. Her stance on Lockhart being God's gift to wizardkind clearly hadn't changed. Saffron wasn't entirely sure it ever would. "Hermione's right, it was an accident,"

Saffron and Parvati's eyes met. It surprised them both that two people who were stark contrasts from one another agreed with each other on this. But their eyes meeting confirmed to each other that they felt like the other two girls were being delusional.

When the large group of Gryffindors finally arrived at the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey looked fit to be tied. She had a scowl etched on her face and was positively furious at her status in the school being undermined.

"You should have come straight to me!" She exclaimed, holding up his boneless arm in order to examine it. "I can mend bones in a second - but growing them back--"

"You will be able to, won't you?" groaned Harry

"I'll be able to, certainly, but it will be painful," Madam Pomfrey told him. "You'll have to stay the night..."

The Gryffindor team left once Harry was safely in Madam Pomfrey's hands, while Dean, Seamus, Lavender and Parvati wished Harry well but headed off for food. Saffron stayed though, waiting for Ron to finish helping Harry change into his pyjamas.

Hermione and Saffron waited outside the curtain drawn around Harry's bed while Ron helped him into his pyjamas. It took a while to stuff the rubbery, boneless arm into a sleeve.

Once they finished, Madam Pomfrey had a large bottle of Skele-Gro in her hands. She frowned at him. "You're in for a rough night," She poured the substance into a large beaker. Smoke was seen at the brim of it. Saffron pouted as it looked disgusting. "Regrowing bones is a nasty business."

It took Harry a minute to force himself to down the medicine. All the while, Madam Pomfrey was inspecting him, mumbling under her breath about how furious she was to have not of been consulted right off the bat.

"We won, though," smiled Ron, once Harry finished the beaker. "That was some catch you made. Malfoy's face... he looked ready to kill..."

"I want to know how he fixed that Bludger," whispered Hermione worriedly.

"If he fixed the bludger," Saffron pointed out. Harry, Ron and Hermione through her a look. "Oh come on, none of us knows for sure that it's him," Ron threw her an angry expression which made her snap at him. "Last year we were so convinced Snape was trying to kill Harry, and it turned out he was trying to save him. We all make bad judgements some times, so we could be wrong,"

"That true," Hermione agreed, "and that's all the more reason to find out,"

"Alright you three," Madam Pomfrey addressed Saffron, Hermione and Ron. "Potter needs rest, and I need my silence back, so if you will,"

Bidding Harry goodbye, the three of them left the hospital wing and headed into the Great Hall for dinner.

"Well," Hermione said, once sure that they were seated far away from their fellow Gryffindors in order to talk in private. "At least that rules out the theory that Harry's the Heir of Slytherin,"

A piece of chicken fell out of Ron's mouth making Saffron shut her eyes in disgust.

"You thought Harry could have had something to do with this?"

"We have to consider all possibilities, Ron," explained Hermione matter-of-factly, cutting up her chicken neatly. "Think about it logically, Harry hears a voice that none of us can hear and leads us to the message and Mrs Norris. It's very strange, almost like he knew it was there,"

"But you can't seriously think Harry's the Heir of Slytherin?" Ron demanded, seeming outraged that Hermione had even soared a second thought for such a conclusion. "He's in Gryffindor,"

"Just because someones in Gryffindor doesn't mean they're not related to a Slytherin," Saffron pointed out to him. "I get that your whole family is in Gryffindor, but that's not the case for everyone. Look at my family, me and my mum in Gryffindor, Maya and Rowan in Ravenclaw, Rachel and dad in Hufflepuff . . . that means I'm related to a Gryffindor and Hufflepuff,"

"Whoever the heir of Slytherin is must be a blood relation to Salazar Slytherin," Hermione theorised. "Or at the very least they must have a connection to one of them, maybe the heir told them to open the Chamber,"

"If the Chamber exists," interjected Saffron.

Hermione nodded patiently. "Yes, if the Chamber exists," She paused. "Anyway, I don't think it could be him anymore Ron, I think it was whoever tampered with that bludger,"

"I still think it's got to be Malfoy," said Ron with certainty. "He hates Harry more than anyone, he probably had his brother do it for him or something,"

"But Draco didn't look like he expected the bludger to do that," said Saffron slowly. "I was watching him and Harry, and Draco seemed just as shocked as Harry was that the bludger was,"

"He was acting," said Ron as though it was obvious. "I don't know why you keep on defending him,"

"I don't!" Saffron snapped at him irritably, "Honestly. But we have no proof, none, so we can't just think about Malfoy. We have to think about everyone, even Harry because we were so sure it was Snape last year and look where that got us," She turned to Ron directly. "You can't tell Harry that we talked about this. He can't know that we've been thinking he knows anything about it,"

"I've talked to Saffron about how we think he might have gotten possessed or influenced by You Know Who at the end of last year," Hermione whispered to Ron almost inaudibly, conscious of the students walking past them. "Maybe it's not complete control, but maybe You Know Who is making him hear that voice, or even make him do what was done to Mrs Norris,"

"I really don't think that's what it is," said Ron with uncertainty.

"Neither do we," said Hermione firmly. "Or . . . " She looked to Saffron, unsure of where exactly she stood. "At least, I don't,"

"I don't either," Saffron assured them. "Not really, but we can't know for sure, so just keep it to yourself, Ron, okay. We need to be careful who we tell things to and where we say anything about it because for all we know if the heir of Slytherin does really exist, they could be standing next to us,"
