《More Than Meets the Eye (A Ninjago Fanfic)》Chapter 7: Ninja What?!

My eyes fluttered open as I awoke, curled up in my bed. The last thing I remember is the nightmare and crying into Lloyd's chest. 'Where is Lloyd anyway?' I thought as I rolled out of bed to search for the and others.
I walked out to the deck to find the ninja training. They were practicing on the training course. I scanned the deck to see what each ninja was practicing. My eyes continued to scan the scene until I glimpsed Lloyd on the obstacle course. I couldn't look away. Sure he's cute, but that's not what sparked my interest. It was the moves he was using to get through the course...they seemed so familiar, like I had seen them somewhere before. 'Nah! That's crazy!' I thought to myself, but I couldn't shake the feeling of familiarity.
"Shimmer!" Said Lloyd as he approached, "you're up! I thought you were gonna sleep forever and...Shimmer?"
I wasn't listening. I could feel my brain scraping to fit the shreds of a memory together, but I just couldn't remember. I knew I was on the verge of remembering something major...but what? I continued to stare past Lloyd to the obstacle course, my eyes glued on it as I envisioned and replayed the moves Lloyd used, to get through the course, in my mind.
"Shimmer? Shimmer!" Said a very concerned Lloyd as he tried to grab my attention.
"Y-yeah?" I asked as I tore my eyes from the course to look him in the eye.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, course. I'm fine." I responded half-heartedly, looking back to the obstacle course, eyebrows furrowed.
"Sensei is starting the meeting he mentioned last night and he wants you to describe your dream to the team." Lloyd stated as he turned me around and gently guided me down to the kitchen where the meeting was being held.

"Shimmer. Good morning." Said Sensei Wu cheerily as Lloyd and I entered the kitchen before adding in a serious tone, "Shimmer, would you please describe your dream to the others," gesturing to the ninja seated around the table as he spoke.
"Sure." I said, dazed as I was still grasping for the fleeting memory, as I proceeded to share my dream with everyone.
I had a horrible headache. I was still trying to remember why those moves were so familiar to me. At least there was dead silence in the room so my headache wouldn't get worse.
Sensei had just finished explaining his part of the story, how Morro was his student before he taught his current students. "What?!?!" Yelled Jay, breaking the silence.
'I stand corrected, there is no longer silence.' I thought, annoyed at Jay as my head continued to pound and throb violently. "Ugh..." I groaned quietly as I pressed my thumb and index finger on either side of the bridge of my nose. The headache was getting progressively worse as the level of loudness grew from all the ninja shouting questions at Sensei Wu. I pressed my fingers into the bridge of my nose harder and groaned again from the dizzying affects of the headache.
I silently rose from the kitchen table, where I was sitting, and sauntered down the hall and onto the deck where the obstacle course was located. I ran the moves through my head once more as I studied the course. It's weird. Every time I run the moves through my head and I try to remember why they're so familiar, my head pounds. My head may hurt, but I must remember. I can almost remember...I've almost got it!
We were all firing questions at Sensei about this Morro guy when all of a sudden he stopped answering and stared at the door to the kitchen. When we followed his gaze, we realized that Shimmer was gone. Sensei had a perplexed look on his face.

"Come," he finally spoke, "we are going to the bridge."
We all turned and followed him to the bridge and gazed out the window with him, watching Shimmer as she stared at the obstacle course. She had a puzzled look plastered on her face. She was obviously trying to figure something out, her eyes were narrowed in thought.
"Do you want me to go get her Sensei?" I asked as the others gathered around to watch Shimmer as well.
"No." Said Sensei firmly. "I sense she is trying to remember something. A memory is returning to her and she is trying to remember it fully. See the way she is studying the obstacle course? I would like to see what she does...I have a hunch." He said mumbling the last part.
I was so close to remembering. I decided to find a spacious area of the main deck, maybe mimicking Lloyd's moves would restore this memory to me.
I began to copy his moves from this morning as I ran them through my head. I started to execute the moves with more speed and that is when the memory returned to me. 'That's it!' I thought as I proceeded to go faster and faster until...
"Ninja-GO!" I yelled as yellow, sparkly wisps formed around me, the tendrils turning into a yellow tornado. I soon slowed down and stopped, seeing the ninja and Sensei approaching me, mouths agape. I ran up to them, grinning. "That's why the moves you executed on the obstacle course this morning were so familiar Lloyd!" I cried, relieved. "It's because...I-I'm a ninja! I can do Spinjitzu!"
"NINJA! WHAT?!" Yelled Kai, obviously shocked.
Everyone just stood there, except for Sensei Wu. "I had a feeling this is what would happen judging by the way you were staring at the obstacle course this morning and by how you seemed so distant, like you were trying to figure something out." Spoke Sensei Wu. "You are welcome to train with the others." He added before walking away.
"So...who's up for more training?" I asked excitedly. We ended up training and playing training games as a group.
We were just finishing our training for the day. The others still couldn't get over the fact that I'm a ninja.
When everyone left, Lloyd pulled me aside. "What's your element, Shim?" He asked, with curiosity shining bright in his eyes.
"I don't know...I haven't remembered that part yet." I answered, disappointed that I, myself, didn't know. "Give me some time Lloyd...I'll remember one of these days." I said hugging him and walking off. 'I'll remember soon, I need to remember...soon.' I thought to myself as I went to join the others and play some video games, Lloyd not far behind.

Law of Divine Gates
What is transcendence? There are those on countless planets who believe creation ended with them. The notion that they are God's chosen people, and nothing else existed beyond them became a firmly rooted ideal. An arrogant assertion you say? Well there you have it, ignorance is something mortals never have a lack of. This is not transcendence, to transcend is to explore the limits of existence, to constantly grow, and lay claim to all the universe has to offer. Transcendence is to not be constrained by ideals, or the planet of your birth, to transcend is to leave behind your Mortal shell, to challenge heaven's law, and formulate your own. Heaven would see mortals bowed in servitude until the end of their days, to reincarnate, and begin another lifetime of worship, giving praise to the gods. A young demon accidentally stepped through the gateway of endless possibilities, will he succumb to heaven's authority?
