《Chosen (Lloyd X Reader)》Darkness Shall Rise

I watch Cole and Jay lift up a street sign and hold it in place as Zane pulls out a blow torch and begins melting it in place.
We've been doing this for at least a week now, trying to help rebuild Ninjago City ever since the Great Devourer destroyed it. The people were kind enough to let us stay in one of the hotels in the city but today was our last day and we've been thinking about where we are going to stay from now on. The Monastery is gone and so is the Bounty. It's been rough.
Cole lets go of the street sign as it finally stands on its own and he smiles at their progress. "Finally! All fixed up and free!"
Kai rolls his eyes, trying to use his powers again but all that comes out is smoke. He pulls on his hair out of frustration. "Aargh! Ugh, this is frustrating!"
Just when we thought it was fixed, the street sign starts tipping over and the other three go back to fix it with a sigh.
I shake my head as I look at the red ninja. "It's no use, Kai. They aren't going to come back without your Golden Weapons. They were the ones that were able to harness your powers from within."
He simply gets more frustrated and looks away in anger. "Our Golden Weapons are gone and most of our elemental powers are gone with them! I mean, we can still do Spinjitzu, but..." He tries again but nothing happens. "I just feel so, I don't know, limited. And thanks to the Devourer, our tank's out of commission, our dragons' are hurt, and because of the Bounty being destroyed, we don't even have a place to sleep! We've been sleeping in a hotel and this is our last day! We don't have anywhere else to go!"
"No one ever said being a hero is easy. Though our good deeds may never make us rich, they make us rich in other ways. And don't worry, we'll find a way to get a home soon." Zane responds as he finishes melting the street sign and the three finally are free from fixing it.
"Yeah, well, I don't feel rich..."
"Look, I know we aren't exactly in an ideal situation but... I'm sure we'll find a way to survive. After all, we survived for this long so that's something."
Jay smiles at my positivity, adding to what I said. "I for one enjoy pitching in. I've always wanted to feel part of a community. But, uh, speaking of which, has anyone seen Nya? She said she was going to help out today."
Right when Jay says that, Nya and Sensei pull up in front of us in a motorbike that one of the citizens of Ninjago gave her. She smiles, seeing us together. "And I have. I may have found us a place to live."
Our eyes widen with joy like there's hope for us. Jay is just ready to hug her. "Really?! But there's a waiting list a mile long to live in Ninjago City. How did you do that?"
"I know a guy, who knows a girl, and she knows this girl who knows a guy. Well, this guy knows a girl who's a real estate agent and she can help you find a place if you catch my drift," She says as she hands me a pamphlet. "I did have a life before joining Kai and I joined you all after all."
I look through the pamphlet as my eyes widen in awe at all the beautiful apartments that Ninjago city has to offer. Cole joins in on with me as we go through it. There's just so much really!
"And where are you two off to?" Jay asks when he notices a few bags in their motorbike.
Sensei Wu finally joins in on the conversation after finishing mapping out their destination. "We have to find a couple of components to fix the ninja tank. And my dragon ointment has finally arrived. It's a day's trip, but once we get back, they'll be flying again. Make sure to take care of Y/n and Lloyd and that they don't get into any trouble. Knowing them, they are a chaotic duo. Also, I love going on scenic drives! Haha, punch it, Nya!"
"Ay ay, Sensei!" Nya says with a smile as she revs up the motorbike and heads off with Sensei.
"Yee-haw!"
"Bye Sensei! Bye Nya! See you two soon!" Once I see the two out of sight, I turn back to my brothers. "I've never seen Sensei act that way before... Wait did he say I was chaotic with Lloyd?!"
Cole chuckles before patting my head. "More like you have a friend to have fun with."
I smile upon hearing that. I do enjoy having a friend around.
Jay takes the pamphlet and starts reading it. ""Real Estate Queen." Huh... This is exactly what we need. Once we get a roof over our heads, we can start properly training Lloyd!"
Cole smiles at Jay. "Good, 'cause if we know Garmadon, he's not going to be taking any breaks. And let's not forget, the Serpentine is still at large."
"Right, so let's start looking for an apartment please because I wanna get some training in already.:
~
Ever since the Great Devourer was destroyed, Garmadon has managed to unite the remaining snakes together and join his army with the help of the Golden Weapons. Using the little power he has from his power and combining it with the weapons, he manages to rebuild the Bounty that was once destroyed. As they sail through the air, one of the snakes has the courage to speak to Garmadon, their new leader.
"Your eminence, excuse my ignorance, but why is it we fly in the opposite direction of the ninja, when you have the Golden Weapons in your possession?"
Garmadon turns to him. "Because they have my son and his friend, and it is written that he will one day defeat me. What good would turning into my own image be when that victory would be fleeting?"
"Then we destroy Lloyd and his friend!"
Garmadon's eyes fill with anger. "Aargh! Lock him in the brig! No one will touch my son and y/n! But by getting rid of Sensei Wu and those pesky ninjas, Lloyd will never reach his full potential and y/n will never figure out who she really is! The prophecy will never be fulfilled, and Ninjago will be mine...forever!"
Another snake looks at him in confusion. "Uh, but why are we flying in away?"
Because we are flying to the Golden Peaks, the birthplace of the Golden Weapons. Even they have secrets yet to be unlocked. And once I uncover their full potential, nothing will stand in our way."
~
We follow the real estate agent, Patty, into a small apartment that's practically the basement of a building. The second we head in, the sight is already unpleasant. And I thought the Bounty was old. This place is worse.
Patty turns to us, giving us one of those fake smiles. "This one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is within arm's reach? Now, wait until you see the lighting!" She flicks on the light but when it turns on, the lightbulb flickers for a bit before falling onto the ground and shattering. Her eyes widen a bit, trying to figure out a solution around that. "Uh, who needs lights when you have this view? Heh." She opens the curtains but the view is just a bunch of bricks.
Some form of smell goes through the apartment, catching Lloyd's attention. "Uh, why do I smell old people?"
Patty groans in annoyance, dropping her façade. "Look, doll. I'm trying to work around your budget. This is all you can afford. It would be much easier if there were fewer of you but of course, there aren't."
I sigh, knowing she was right. There are eight of us in total and we need a place to live. We don't have much of a choice, unfortunately.
Cole noticed my saddened face, the same one where I'm lost in my thoughts. He sighs knowing that there isn't much we can do as he pays my head. He turns back to Patty. "Uh, this looks...promising. Remember, guys, Sensei told us our main objective is to train Lloyd, not kick our feet up in some swanky suite. If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford."
Jay quickly runs in front of Cole, shaking his head. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's not rush into any decision. I mean, if it's really all about Lloyd, don't we need to live in some place that'll make training easier? Plus, Y/n can't live in a place like this. She deserves a nice place to live in after all."
My eyes widen a bit, smiling a bit at Jay's response. They really are sweet. I'm glad I have them in my life but... We can't just go anywhere. We don't have a choice. "Look Lloyd comes first. He's the Green Ninja and we have to focus on his training. He comes first. Then we can worry about ourselves."
Kai shakes his head. "Come on guys. Even the kid said so! We need a place to train Lloyd and we can't do that in a place where he isn't being supported."
"Technically, that does not matter. Also, Y/n did not—" Kai quickly cuts off Zane by punching his arm lightly, causing him to stay silent.
I glare at Kai from afar for twisting my words. The fire head notices my staring as he glared back at me. Luckily Jay manages to stop an incoming fight by talking to Patty. He gives her a smile, the same one Patty gave us at the beginning of the tour. "We're only thinking about the children, hehe."
Patty sighs, regretting what she's about to do. "I do have another property that you'll all love."
~
We head into a fancy apartment on top of a skyscraper and our eyes widen in awe at everything Everything we ever had on the Bounty and more.
"Oh, man..." Jay says in awe.
Patty smiles seeing us all happy with the apartment. " Now, this is the right-bedroom Hero Suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console..."
"This all seems so fancy... but do we really need it? It's all so much..."
"Uh, yeah I agree with the kid. It seems a little out of our price range." Cole says in concern.
"Oh, sure it costs a little more, but you deserve it. I forgot to mention, there's also a Dragon Keep on the roof."
Jay starts thinking about what Cole said and tries to work out a deal. "Maybe we can get a hero discount. After all, we are the ninja who saved the city."
"I thought Lord Garmadon saved the city."
Something in me just clicks and I turn to the older lady. "Technically yes he did. But, we were the ones who kept the snake at bay long enough to keep you and everyone else alive."
Everyone's eyes widen in shock at my response. Lloyd simply stares at me in awe. Patty sighs in frustration, knowing that I'm right. "You don't have to pay for the Dragon Keep. Everything else you do."
Kai smiles brightly hearing that before patting my head. "Nice job kid. But we are still going to need to get day jobs to pay for the extra expenses."
"We always said we could use a little more responsibility," Zane says adding on.
My eyes widen, looking at Zane. He's actually agreeing with him?! The most logical one?! "You guys have never said that! You always want the least amount of responsibility ever! I always have to tell you what to do!"
Kai simply puts his hand over my mouth, stopping me from speaking. I try to pull his hand away as I glare at him. I'm going to kill him!
Kai turns to Patty in concern. "But we have to train Lloyd."
"Did I mention the in-house training facility?"
"We'll take it!"
My eyes widen as I facepalm. This is not what I expected. I swear when Nya and Sensei Wu come back, I'm sure they will have a few choice words for these idiots.
~
Everyone starts moving into their own proper rooms while I simply just train in the training area. I gotta say, although this place is too fancy for us, I do enjoy this room. But... we really don't need this. It's too much honestly...
I continue on with my thoughts while I train. But, because of that, I don't notice a certain blonde entering the Training Room.
He stares as I train so effortlessly as if nothing can stop me. She's so good... I wonder when I can be like that...
He quickly shakes his head before speaking. "Y/n, aren't you going to move into a room?"
His voice catches my attention and I stop what I'm doing as I turn to him. "Maybe I will later. I'm just not really a fan of all of this."
Lloyd sighs, as he tries to think of a plan. "Well it's still pretty nice and we should enjoy it! After all, it's not every day we get something like this!"
"I know but still... I liked the way we lived in the Bounty. It was nice after all."
"I know but maybe it's time for a change. You never know! Let's just enjoy it while it lasts," he says with a smile.
I sigh, knowing he's not going to give up. I smile at him. "Fine, you win. How about you help me move into a room then?"
He smiles brightly hearing that as he grabs my hand and quickly runs down the hallway to where all the rooms are. Lloyd pulls me into a room and smiles. "Look at how amazing this room is! It has everything you ever wanted and more!"
I smile, hearing Lloyd so happy. I look around the room as I slowly take everything in. "I suppose everything does seem nice... I suppose I might have to get used to it."
Before we get to explore the room anymore, Kai's voice interrupts us. "Alright! We're heading out to get jobs you two! We will be back in a few hours! Don't do anything dumb!"
Lloyd and I look out of the room as I shout back. "And why can't I help?! I'm a ninja too! Technically, I am in charge of all of you! I am the most responsible one!"
"Because society still thinks of you as twelve years old! Just stay here and we'll be back soon! Stay safe!" And just like that, the four are gone.
Lloyd smirks, thinking up a plan. I notice his smirking as I give him a suspicious look. "What are you planning?"
"Let's head out!"
~
Somehow, we managed to find ourselves in front of a candy shop. We changed out of our ninja uniform and into everyday regular clothes. I wear a plaid purple dress with a light purple sweater, tied at my waist. Lloyd wears a simple green hoodie, jean shorts, and his signature black cape. I look back at the blonde, seeing his eyes sparkle with joy. "Uh, Lloyd?"
"We finally made it!"
"You wanted to come to the Candy Shop?"
"Yeah! I really want some and now that I'm the Green Ninja, I barely get any..." He says with a sigh.
He really is losing his childhood... No way am I going to let him miss this out. "Alright, let's buy as much candy as we can. It'll be my treat," I say, pulling out a bag of coins.
His eyes widen in awe. "Woah... How much is that?! It could cover months of the rent in that fancy apartment!"
"Don't tell anyone but I've been saving this up heh. Back before all of you moved in, it was Sensei and I so we would help a bunch of people out. They would always give us money for the help we did but Sensei never took it. After all, Sensei did already have a lot of money because you know, your grandpa is the First Spinjitzu Master. But, whenever Sensei left the room first, the people would stop me and hand me some money. They would always tell me not to tell me and that it was just a gift from one person to another. So I've been saving it all up heh."
"Then why aren't you going to use it for the apartment? It would be good for everyone!"
I shake my head. "Because we don't need any of that. All we need is a place that can help you reach your full potential. As long as we have that, that's far more important. Everything else will come along."
"...You guys always talk about how I need the training and everything, but what about you? After all, you are technically just like me. Just without the uh whole destiny thing."
"Right..." I sigh. "Luckily for you, I already am a full-on ninja and can train anywhere. I may not have a grand destiny like you or as matter of fact, I don't even know my own prophecy, I'm happy simply being with you and knowing everything will be okay."
He sighs before accepting it. "Fiiiine since you say so! But you know what?!"
"Huh?"
"You are finally going to enjoy yourself today then! We are going to get your favorite candy!"
"Huh?!"
He grabs my hand and runs into the candy shop. "Let's grab as much candy as possible! After all, Sensei, Nya, or the ninja aren't here to stop us!"
My eyes widen a bit, seeing him so happy. Maybe it's time to loosen up for once. "I feel like I should be the bigger ninja and bigger person but... This does seem like fun after all heh. I haven't had fun like this in who knows how long."
He smiles, seeing me loosen up. We wander around the candy store, grabbing anything we find delicious. We pile it all together into a basket and once we have enough, we walk up to the counter. The nice older man looks down at us as we pour all of the candy onto it.
"You finally came back Lloyd, and with a friend," The man says with a smile.
Lloyd looks at the ground sheepishly, "Y-Yeah. Sorry about not coming back sooner, Mr. Murakami. I got busy heh. But, yeah! She's my friend, Y/n! We came to get some candy together!"
"H-Hi!"
Mr. Murakami softly smiles at both of us. "Good to see you finally have a friend. It's good knowing that. I'm sure if your mother saw you, she would be the proudest mom ever."
When he said that, I see Lloyd give the biggest smile ever. I've never seen him smile like that... I'm sure he misses his mom a lot. He rarely gets to see her because of her job.
The old man eventually tells us how much it is and I pay for it all. Just before we're about to leave, he stops us. "Next time you come back, candy is on me. It's just nice knowing you have a friend so make sure to come back soon."
We smile upon hearing that. "We will! We promise!" Lloyd says to him before we wave goodbye to him and head out of the shop.
On our way back, Lloyd goes on a rant about comic books and candy. I do my best to listen to him but it all starts jumbling together and it starts to get confusing to the point where I just decide to stop listening for my own sanity. But as we pass by the shopping district, something in a store's window display catches my attention. I stop walking and stare inside the store, seeing all the kimonos inside. My eyes widen though seeing a short purple kimono with a bunch of flowers scattered across it.
I simply stare at it with pure wonder and something in me clicks.
~
"Sann! Look at the new kimono I bought! I think this is going to be my new outfit from now on!" I say with a smile to him.
"You sure do like nice in it Y/n," he responds with a smile.
"Thanks, Sann! And look! Seerah got a kimono too!" I say as I pull out the god's girlfriend from behind me.
She looks away nervously, red from embarrassment. "H-Hi heh."
I look over at Sann, seeing him just standing there with his face completely red. I stare at him in confusion. "Uh, Sann?"
He immediately falls over, passing out. Seerah's and I's widen in horror as we run over and she tries to shake him awake. "Sann! Sann! Please wake up!"
"I have an idea! Stand back!" She scoots away as I quickly sit up Sann and proceed to slap him multiple times across the face. "You idiot! Don't pass out in front of your girlfriend!"
"Wha?..." He says disoriented.
"Uh Y/n, it's okay now! He's waking up!" She says to me as I stop slapping him and she hugs him tightly.
I smile at their adorable hugging. "Alright, I'll leave you two love birds alone. I have to go to my duties because we all know if I don't do them now, I won't do them ever."
Seerah waves at me goodbye as Sann just stares at me in confusion, still trying to get his brain straight. I wave at them goodbye before a purple mist surrounds my body and I disappear, leaving behind a nestle of flowers where I once stood.

8 110The Tales of the Revolution
Synopsis: As a scholar of science and technology, Joseph Algorith was a man who pursued his dream in unrealistic methods, using his intelligence to surpass all hurdles in this Galactic Era. He was an idealist that combined his thoughts with realism. However, unbeknownst to him in how it had happened, he had gained the opportunity to research a new system, a massive planetoid shrouded in mysteries and magic. However, to fully realize his ambition and creativity, he must save the human race of this magical world, filled with different races and monsters. “The Heavens had forced me, so I shall propose and never will be disposed of.”- Joseph Algorith Spoiler: Basically, he is reborn, with his knowledge as a scientist of the galactic era, into a new world with magic and aura powers. In this world, humans are part of the 7 major races, but two (or three) are planning to enslave them, while the others are watching on the sidelines. His plans are to develop modern weapons to strengthen the human nation because the mages and aura users aren't immortal or have steel flesh even as they get more power to the point they can deal damage of a howitzer using special moves. Though it doesn't mean that there aren't magical armours (and other things)... Extra: I'm not sure if romance will be in this. Depends on whether you, the readers, would like it or how I develop the story further. And there won't be an exact release schedule as I prefer my pace of writing and because I'm busy in life (school and extra activities, FML). If you find any mistakes, please remind me. Also, my writing style and the pace of the story may be slower than other stories you might have read on this website. Though I may make some revisions with the story, considering my editor's thoughts. Also, my story has some concepts from RTW in terms of the idea of creating weapons in a magical world, however, the plot is mine. After reading, tell me, what do you think of the beginning? What do you think your rating would be.?If possible, comment down below anything that could help me improve or to express your thoughts. Lastly, please NO COPY AND PASTE!
