My eyes opened slowly as I began to regain consciousness, desperately hoping that the events of yesterday were just some sort of a bad dream. Surprise: they weren't.

As I glanced around Anakin's once operating ship, a slight pinkish color in the sky caught my eye. The sunrise was just barely visible on the horizon, but was still surprisingly beautiful. I hadn't seen a sunrise in a while, and the last time I can remember actually being awake early enough to catch one was when I was on a mission for Count Dooku. Even then, I didn't really take the time to notice the beauty of it all. Now, it was all I focused on.

For a moment, I actually started to forget all about the mess we were in. But, as always, I quickly snapped out of the calmness of that moment.

Our ship's door was clearly broken from the fall it endured the day prior, so R2 had to be on watch all night long in order to make sure no mastiff phalones, whatever those creatures were, would come and attack us while we were asleep.

As I glanced around the ship once more, I couldn't find Anakin anywhere. I realized that he was probably finishing packing up for our on-foot trip that we were about to take, which, as I found out the night prior, would hopefully only take a few hours. That is, if we were lucky.

After R2 had scanned the perimeter last night, he had detected a few life forms located at a small pond, which was far from us, but not impossible to get too. R2 said that these things he discovered resembled "monkey" like creatures, which Anakin believed to be the Lurmen. If they were near a pond, they were probably gathering food or resources, which meant their village was hopefully close by there.

As for the rest of the night, it was, to put it lightly, pretty awkward, and pretty boring. Anakin and I didn't do much talking after he- well- yelled at me. So instead, I kind of just kept to myself and rested as much as I could, while he tried to fix any part of the ship that he could.

In regards to food, Anakin managed to gather some Burrfruit, which was a type of fruit that was native to Maridun. It was purple in color and pretty sweet, almost like candy. The only kind of drink we had was some stored water that Anakin always kept on his ship, so at least that was a small win in the midst of all of our losses.

The two of us both slept on small, separate beds located on opposite sides of the ship. For the most part, I actually slept pretty well. It was surprisingly peaceful on Maridun, and throughout the night I could hear the wind rustling through the tall grassy hills as the bright stars illuminated the sky.

Though, quiet groans and heavy breathing did awaken me during the middle of the night. These groans came from Anakin, and they sounded terrible, almost like he was in pain; like he was having some sort of nightmare. I contemplated waking him up, but before I could even manage to lift myself from where I laid, he had jolted upwards, and I had to pretend I was fast asleep.

After that, all I remember was him getting up and going outside the ship for a while. I did manage to sneak a peak at where he stood, but all I saw was him deep in thought, staring up at the stars in the night sky. I fell asleep shortly after, pretty much involuntarily, because my tiredness from the past days events had won over my body.

"Morning," Anakin's voice spoke as he interrupted my thoughts. I looked up at him, delivering a weak smile.

"You're up early," I responded.

A quick sigh escaped his lips. "Yea, well, we've got a long day ahead of us, so I was just packing up some of the essentials we might need." He paused for a moment. "How are you feeling?"

I took a deep breath. "Better, I think? I guess we'll find out right now."

As I finished speaking, I placed both of my hands on either side of me on my bed. I propelled myself upwards slowly, trying to make sure I don't topple over like I did the day prior.

As I finally stood on both legs, I took another deep breath, and stepped forward. To my surprise, my legs didn't give way, and I was actually able to walk normally, with the exception of a bit of soreness here and there.

I looked over at Anakin and tilted my head slightly, giving a somewhat sarcastic and somewhat relieved smile. "I guess I'm all better."

A small smile grew across his face as he also felt a sense of relief. "That's good- great, actually. Here, I brought some more Burrfruit for breakfast," he spoke as he handed me the sweet fruit. "I'll let you have some time to eat, but we do need to leave soon if we're ever going to find the Lurmen before sunset."

I nodded as I began walking towards a small table to sit at. As I began eating what was just my dinner the night prior, I let out a deep sigh, preparing for the long day we had planned ahead of us.

---

After I had finished eating and packed the rest of my belongings, I walked outside to take one last look at the ship that was damn near destroyed at this point. Anakin had instructed R2 to stay and guard the ship, just incase there were any other "travelers" around that would want to use the ship's destroyed parts for scrap.

The pinkish color that was once on the horizon had finally faded and blended into the sky, and the sun was now fully visible above us, though the morning dew-like air was still pretty thick.

As Anakin walked out of the ship, I followed. He looked at me for a moment as I stared back at him. Other than our brief conversation earlier in the morning, we hadn't talked much since last night. In all honesty, I was still pretty shocked at his sudden explosion of anger towards me the night prior.

On one hand, I was actually annoyed at him. I mean, he did yell at me for practically no reason. Hell, he took out all of his anger on me, when I did nothing wrong! What did I do to deserve that?

Though, on the other hand, I did somewhat understand where he was coming from. Several extremely unfortunate events did occur in the last 24 hours. I mean, his master was in great danger, and as if that wasn't enough, we ended up crashing on a far away planet after almost being killed multiple times. And to top off the list, his ship was quite nearly demolished. To be honest, I'd be a bit angry at the universe as well.

"You ready?" he asked as we both stood in front of the only bit of shelter we had, ready to leave it.

I looked away from the ship and stared out into the tall grass and dirt ground that lie ahead of us. "Yup," I answered lowly, being entirely untruthful. I was, in fact, not ready for this trip we were about to take.

As we began walking, I stayed next to Anakin, neither of us taking the lead. We both stared forward, only the sounds of the rustling from our shoes brushing against the tall grass audible.

Twenty minutes or so went by before Anakin decided to break the silence. I could feel him staring right at me for a brief moment before he began speaking. "Hey, listen, about last night..."

"It's fine," I sternly spoke, cutting him off. Not only was I not in the mood for any conversation at all, I was definitely not in the mood for this specific conversation. Don't get me wrong, I really did want him to apologize. At least if he did, I wouldn't think of him as such a jerk, but at the same time, I didn't really want there to be another argument. There was still a lot of tension between us, and somehow, in some way, I knew an argument was bound to happen if we both started to speak about last night. We just weren't seeing eye to eye right now.

I could tell he wanted to say something, but all I could see out of the corner of my eye was a slight nod of his head. Silence once again filled the air around us, and with that, we continued to be on our way, in search of the Lurmen.

I felt bad. Like, really bad. I didn't mean to explode at her last night. It just... happened.

Everything has been so stressful since Obi-Wan came through my comlink yesterday. It's like one terrible thing keeps happening after another, and I just can't get a break. But that doesn't excuse me from being such a dick to y/n, but again, I just can't believe that she would even consider putting herself in a situation where she could get seriously injured.

She really scared me when she had been knocked out after our crash. At first, I didn't know if she had gotten hurt, or if she had actually- well- died. I mean, she was passed out beside me, her body completely limp, and my mind was thinking the absolute worst at that point.

But what really set me off was when she just had to argue with me about going out last night, even though she was injured. I can't risk letting her put herself in any kind of danger. If I were even the tinniest bit responsible for her being in anymore pain... I don't know what I would do.

She just makes me so frustrated sometimes. She's stubborn, which is very unhelpful at times, and she's never afraid of putting herself in danger. God, I hate that about her. Don't get me wrong, there's a big part of me that finds her confidence extremely attractive, amongst other things, but that only goes so far. I draw the line when she's willing to get herself injured even more than she already is.

At this point, it's pretty obvious that I care about her. I don't know why or how, but ever since the day we met, when she literally tried to kidnap me, I knew there was more to her than an evil little Sith apprentice. I could see it in her eyes. She wanted more, and I liked that about her. She had this confidence that boosted throughout her; I had never met anyone like that before. I found her intriguing, and from what I could tell, she found me intriguing as well.

Though, putting all that aside, right now I just want to apologize and let her know how truly sorry I am. I would do it over and over again, because seeing how upset I made her makes me hate myself, but she obviously isn't in the mood to talk, so I'll just stay quiet for now.

---

I swear, we have been walking for what seems like hours. Everything around us has looked exactly the same for miles, and I wouldn't be surprised if we were just walking in circles around Anakin's ship.

Don't worry, I knew we weren't, because not too long ago, we passed the pond where R2 had detected the Lurmen. To our luck, there were foot tracks made in the dirt. They led us left of the pond, so we followed them.

That was about 30 minutes ago. It was mid day now, and the heat of the sun was actually wearing both Anakin and I down. I knew the two of us probably smelt ripe of sweat and body odor, but that was the least of our worries. Our main focus now, which it had been for the past day, was finding the Lurmen and getting the ship fixed.

Anakin and I still hadn't conversed much this entire trip. There was the occasional "you okay?" whenever one of us seemed like we were going to pass out, and the "we are almost there", but that was just hopeful wishing at this point.

Though, to be honest, I didn't mind the silence much. It didn't really phase me, and I was pretty much used to it at this point. It's not like I hadn't experienced long amounts of silence before while I was with the Sith. The only thing different about this time was that I wasn't alone in silence.

But I did have to fill the silence with something, so my thoughts took over. There were thoughts about the crash, thoughts about Anakin, and just thoughts about my life in general; really anything to fill in the silence that was this entire trip.

It was weird to think that just about 24 hours ago, Anakin and I were training together, completely oblivious and unaware of what would occur not long after that. The only thing I had to worry about then was blocking Anakin's lightsaber hits with my own.

It's surprising how fast things can change.

Suddenly, I heard Anakin mumble something quietly. "Oh my god," he voiced lowly to himself.

I snapped out of my thoughts as he broke the silence that I was starting to become really familiar with.

"What?" I questioned, looking to where he was staring forward, and then back at him.

A small smile grew across his face as I noticed relief and joy start to overcome him. "We made it."

A shot him a confused look, almost not believing him, until I looked forward again. It was just barely visible, but if you squinted your eyes and focused hard enough, you could see it: small little oval shaped structures that stood together in an open field .

As I stared, I couldn't seem to make out how many there were. Maybe sixty- no seventy. About seventy little oval structures, together in a circle. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be so happy to see little oval homes standing together in a large dirt field.

I started laughing as a huge smile took over my pervious expressions. Unable to contain his happiness as well, Anakin started laughing also.

"Oh my god, we made it," I exclaimed, now looking directly at Anakin.

He smiled back at me, and for a moment there, I had completely forgotten about what had happened between us the night before.

Without a second thought, I started running towards the Lurmen village, and Anakin followed.

Finally, a win for us. We desperately needed a win after everything we had experienced, and we finally got one.

This was the start of our way back to fix the ship. The start of our way back to help Master Obi-Wan and Master Windu.

The start of our way back home.
