"Y/n... Y/n..."
My eyes quickly fluttered open as I noticed Anakin, who was the first thing in sight. He stood right next to me, tall and large, his eyes seeming to pierce straight through my soul. As I started to take in my surroundings, I realized that I was sitting in a seat from Anakin's ship, though I was completely oblivious as to how I got there.
A sigh of relief escaped his lips as he noticed I was regaining consciousness. I quickly looked around, a bit confused in regards to where we were, and why I was (or had) passed out.
Without a second thought, I decided to try and stand up from my seat. Suddenly, a sharp achiness shot through my legs, and I immediately fell back to where I was sitting.
"Hey, hey," Anakin quickly spoke, now concerned. "Take it easy. That crash really did a number on you."
I stared at him for a moment, still confused as to what the hell was going on. "Crash?" I queried.
He mirrored my confused look, fully expecting that I would know (and remember) exactly everything that had happened.
"Yea...?" he spoke once more. "We got attacked, the ship practically broke into pieces, and we crashed onto Maridun... remember?"
I now moved my gaze out onto the open field of nothingness. Well, almost nothing. All I could see for miles was tall, green and yellow grass, a dirt ground, and a few occasional trees that seemed to be bigger than our entire ship as a whole- or, what was left of our ship .
"Are you okay?" Anakin asked as he interrupted my stare, now with a bit more concern in his voice.
I blinked a few times as I tried to recollect the memories of what had happened prior to me blacking out. Okay, so, we were training, and then Obi-Wan called for help. We got in Anakin's ship to go rescue him, we got attacked, and then- oh... yea.
We crashed.
I took a deep breath in as all of the memories started flooding back into my brain. My hands traveled to my face as I rubbed my eyes, desperately hoping that this was just some sort of bad dream that I would wake up from in a few moments.
"Y/n, are you okay?" Anakin queried once more, worrisome plastered across his face.
I now diverted my gaze back to him. "Maridun, you said?"
Anakin looked out onto the planet's open field, just as I had done, and inhaled deeply. "Yea, Maridun," he responded, slowly enunciating the planet's name clearly.
My mouth gaped open a little as I tried to grasp what was really going on. Maridun? "Wha- what happened?- After I- um-"
"Well," Anakin started. "For starters, we crashed, and you clearly got knocked out from it. It's been an hour since then, and I've just been sitting here, waiting for you to wake up." He let out a quick laugh before beginning to speak again. "I mean, you really had me worried there. I thought that maybe you were seriously hurt, and you weren't seeming to wake up-"
"I'm fine," I announced, quickly cutting him off mid-sentence.
Anakin gave me a snarky look as he raised one eyebrow. "Oh, really?" he uttered slowly, as if he didn't believe a word I was saying.
I spoke once more to confirm. "Yea, I feel fine."
He let out a small laugh. "Alright, princess. Get up."
"What?" I asked, along with shooting him a confused look.

"Get up and walk around. I mean, you said you feel fine," he retorted back.
I rolled my eyes as I placed both of my hands on the seat's handlebars, preparing to stand up and show Anakin that I was actually fine. As I lifted myself up, I could feel a few sharp pains shoot through my calves and arms, but nonetheless, I kept a straight face. I could not afford to give Anakin the satisfaction of knowing that he was right, and that I actually wasn't fine.
I've felt worse pain before when I was still with the Sith, so this was practically nothing. I knew I could make it through the day just fine. It wasn't that bad... until I took a step forward.
Immediately my legs gave way, which sent me falling straight down to the ground. Luckily, before I could even hit it, Anakin had caught me in his arms.
"Yea, I mean, you seem perfectly alright to me," he joked, knowing deep down that he proved me wrong.
I let out a sharp inhale as I looked up at him, wrapping my right arm tightly around his neck. His left arm slithered around my waist as he hoisted me upwards, aiding me in getting up.
"Let's bring you over here," he declared as he grabbed onto my waist tightly, making sure I was secure and unable to fall again.
As Anakin led me to one of the seats that stood towards the middle of the ship, he sat me down carefully, making sure I didn't use or overexert any muscle too much. He then moved over and stood in front of me, leaning on one of the walls to the ship.
"How am I this hurt compared to you?" I questioned, genuinely confused as to how I was literally unable to walk, and yet Anakin seemed completely unscathed.
"To be honest, I don't really know. You probably just got more affected by the crash when we hit the ground." He paused for a moment before speaking again. "Was your seat belt on?"
I thought back to when I first got onto his ship to remember if it actually was put on.
Spoiler: It wasn't.
A guilty look spread across my face. "No..." I spoke quietly, sounding a little embarrassed.
Anakin rolled his eyes as his lips formed a small smile. "See, that's why you always have to buckle up," he mocked, shaking his head as if he was disappointed in me. "Tisk, tisk..."
Unamused, I scrunched up my nose and mouth, mocking his expression sarcastically. A laugh escaped his lips. "Well, at least you're somewhat alright. As Obi-Wan would say, another happy landing."
Hearing that caused me to let out a quick chuckle. Obi-Wan would definitely say something like that, especially after experiencing Anakin's flying.
Suddenly, my expression faded into a concerned look as I remembered why we were even in this mess in the first place. Obi-Wan's rescue.
"What are we going to do about Obi-Wan and Windu?" I queried.
Anakin inhaled deeply. "I don't know. After our crash, it seems we've lost all communication with the Republic, so we're basically blind as to what's going on."
I bit my lip slightly as all of the anxiety started to rush in again. "Well, how badly is the ship damaged? Surely you and I can fix-"
"We can't," Anakin announced as he quickly cut me off. "I already took a look at all of the damage. We don't have a single working engine left, and our ship took a massive hit when it crashed. Trust me, I've got R2 working on the stabilizers, but there's really nothing more we can do." He paused for a brief moment. "We're going to need a lot of extra help if we want to be able to fix this quickly."

"You're... you're joking," I stammered, completely in shock at what I was hearing. "Anakin, where are we going to find any help? We are literally the only two people on this entire planet!"
He took a brief pause before speaking, almost as if to create some kind of dramatic effect or something.
"From the Lurmen," he declared, sort of seeming proud of the fact that he knew who- or what- these things were.
"The Lurmen...," I enunciated slowly, clearly unamused with whatever joke he was trying to pull.
"Yup, the Lurmen. They're a sentient, yellow-eyed species. They stand about 3 feet tall on average, they have a tail, and their bodies are entirely covered in brown and gray fur," Anakin spoke, almost arrogantly in a way. It was like he had spent all of his time studying this species because he apparently was an expert on them. "Oh, and they wear clothes too."
"And may I ask how you know them?" I questioned, still in a bit of denial of the whole situation that we were in.
He let out a small chuckle. "Believe it or not, I've been on this planet before. Some time ago, I (along with a few others) also experienced a similar crash landing on this planet."
I couldn't help but laugh at every word that was coming out of Anakin's mouth. "You're joking," I mocked.
"Nope. I was accompanied by Jedi Knight Aayla Secura, Commander Rex, a few other clones, and Ahsoka, my Pa-"
Anakin stopped speaking for a moment, almost as if he had remembered something traumatic. Something that he wished he could forget forever.
"My Padawan."
My eyes widened as I heard those two words escape his lips. Padawan?
I guess my shocked and confused expression was distinctly noticeable, because he didn't hesitate to answer what I had just been wondering.
"I had a Padawan, once. Her name was Ahsoka- Ahsoka Tano."
I didn't know what to say. "Oh" was the only word I could mutter out of my mouth. Whoever this girl was, he seemed to care about a lot. Staring into his eyes, I noticed that they had lost that sparkle of happiness that always shined when we talked. Now, those bright blue irises had completely overcome with sadness.
I never knew he had a Padawan.
Anakin spoke again, now a little sadder than before. "She was like my younger sister."
I hesitated to respond, not wanting to say the wrong thing. "When did she-"
"She didn't die," he revealed, cutting me off. "She left the order."
Anakin fiddled with his fingers as he spoke to me, looking down at them, clearly trying to hide whatever emotions that were displayed across his face. "I haven't seen her since."
I continued to stare at him as sympathy built up inside of me. I felt bad for him, really. It seemed like he really cared for this girl, and her leaving him probably felt like she had actually died.
"Anakin, I- I'm so sorry-"
"It's fine," he stated sharply. "It's in the past, and-" He paused for a second. "And we have bigger things to worry about right now, like finding the Lurmen and getting our ship fixed."
It was pretty obvious that he didn't want to talk about Ahsoka anymore, so I refrained from asking any more questions. I didn't want to provoke him any further, considering we were stuck on this planet together alone, at least for right now.
"Yea, the Lurmen," I repeated, changing the entire subject. "So you've met them before?"
"Yes," he confirmed. "When I crash landed here, I was practically on my deathbed. I was very injured, and I was quickly dying. Ahsoka, Aayla, and a few of the clones located the Lurmen, and they healed me extremely fast. They basically saved my life, and we then repaid them by saving theirs."
Confusion grew across my face. "What do you mean you saved theirs?"
Anakin continued. "After they healed me, General Lok Durd of the Separatist Alliance raided their village, trying to get the Lurmen colonists to basically hand over their land and people to the separatists. Durd sent in massive troops of droids, and without our help, the Lurmen colonists would probably all be enslaved or dead at this point."
My anxiety eased a bit as I began to realize that we may actually have a chance of getting out of here alive, and quickly.
"So, do you remember where their village is located?" I asked.
Anakin let out a disappointing sigh. "Unfortunately, I do not. This whole planet looks the same all around. I mean, we could be ten miles from them, or ten hundred."
Uh, great. There it is, my anxiety slowly creeping in again.
"But I do know that they live near giant trees," he continued. "Oh, and fair warning, the colonists here lead peaceful lives, harvesting giant seed pods to use for shelter and nourishment. They want nothing to do with any war, any Jedi, or any separatist for that matter."
I groaned. "And they're still going to help us? I don't know if you forgot, but we are Jedi." At this point, it seemed as if we had to overcome one new obstacle after another.
"Like I said, they know me," Anakin reassured. "I have a connection with them, and they trust me, as I do them. They'll help us, I know it."
I took a deep breath in, trying to put all of my faith into this "plan" that Anakin had in store. At this point, it seemed as if we were desperate for anything. We had no food, no water, and practically no shelter. To be honest, I was eager to get this ship fixed, and ready to get off of this planet as soon as possible.
"Well," I spoke, breaking the silence. "Let's go."
Anakin shot me a confused look. "Let's go?" he repeated.
"Yea," I insisted. "I mean, how else are we going to find these things-"
"People," Anakin swiftly cut me off.
"Sorry- people- if we don't start looking now?"
Anakin laughed, which insulted me a bit. "Yea, with your legs, in the shape that you're in? Please- you can't even take one step forward without needing me to save you."
I rolled my eyes. "I'll be fine, and besides, fixing this ship and getting off of this planet is way more important than this little pain that I'm feeling."
"No," Anakin asserted. "You need to heal and rest some more. We are approaching nightfall anyways, and we can't be out after dark. This planet is riddled with mastiff phalones, and trust me, you do not want to mess with those creatures."
Is he serious right now? "Oh please," I retorted. "We'll be fine. In case you forgot, we both have these super dangerous weapons called lightsabers."
Anakin stood up from leaning against the wall, now sounding a little more irritated than before. "Y/n, I said no. You need to heal first-"
"Anakin, I said I'm fine, let's just leave right now and-"
"I SAID NO!" Anakin yelled loudly.
I felt my heart sink as the pit in my stomach grew, utterly taken aback by what had just happened. I completely stopped talking after that. Anakin's never yelled at me before, not like that. He sounded so... angry.
"I- I said no," he stammered, now a little calmer than before, but still as assertive. "It's too dangerous, and I don't want you- us- getting hurt."
I didn't even try to respond to him, still shocked after he had just completely snapped and yelled at me out of nowhere. He waited for a moment to see if I would nod or say anything, but I just kind of stared at him lowly, not really knowing what else to do. After I hadn't spoken at all, he took that as a signal that our conversation was just about done.
"R2!" he yelled from where he stood, now facing towards the entrance to the ship. Immediately, R2 appeared in the entryway, giving two beeps in response.
"Scan the perimeter for signs of any life forms," Anakin ordered.
After another three beeps in response, R2 was back on his way to complete his task.
Anakin looked over at me again, the tension between us still thick and fresh in the air.
"I'm going to continue examining the ship's damage to see if I can help repair anything at all," Anakin announced, finally breaking the awkward silence between us. "There are two small beds sitting towards the back of the ship. Take one, and I'll take the other for tonight." He paused for a moment. "And please, stay here and get some rest."
Anakin began walking towards the ship's entry way as my eyes followed his every move.
What. Just. Happened?
"Oh," he stopped in his tracks before fully walking off of the ship. Turning around to face me once more, he spoke.
"We leave first thing in the morning."
