As my eyes fluttered open, I woke up in a chair, in an all white room. There were no windows, and no people. One singular door stood at the right corner of the room. The only other thing was a table that was stationed right in front of me.
I looked down to see that my hands were cuffed, laying on my lap.
I was this close to escaping and possibly not failing this entire mission. Damn droid.
Before I could process any more thoughts about what was going on, the door to the room opened. In came Anakin Skywalker, who was supposed to be either unaware of my plans to capture him or already on my ship flying back to Count Dooku.
He walked in with nothing other than his lightsaber, which was clipped to the side of his belt. I looked him up and down as a scoffed at his confidence. He already looked stuck up, and he hadn't even begun speaking.
As Anakin clicked a button from under the table, a chair started to appear from the ground rising up. He took a seat in it, placed both his hands on top of the table folded on one another, and sighed.
"How do you feel? R2D2 got you pretty good out there" he asked.
"I feel like a princess" I said with sarcasm as I stared at the wall behind him, not acknowledging his appearance.
I could sense him looking straight into my eyes. "It's a shame that your life is like this" he said with genuine sadness in voice.
I shot him a side eye with a disgusted look on my face. How dare he say that. "What do you know about my life" I retorted.
"I know that it could have been better than this. Your father didn't want this for you" he responded.
My father? "If you're trying to spark some type of grief or regret within me, it's not going to work. I don't remember my father, or even my mother for that fact. So, honestly, I could care less about what they wanted for me. They weren't here for me when I needed them. They left me."

"It's more complicated than that. I've known you, y/n. Everyone does. You're pretty famous around the Jedi Temple. You're a famous tragedy" he said as pity filled his voice .
I slid my tongue on the inside of my cheek and I shook my head. Disgusting. I wasn't a tragedy. Quite honestly, I was the opposite. I ruled with the Sith. Soon, I was to become one of the most powerful Sith Lords there ever were. I would rule the galaxy. Sounds like the opposite of a tragedy to me.
I didn't respond to what Anakin had said, and instead continued to stare at the wall behind him. This was a waste of my time.
Anakin sighed as he looked at me. "What are you doing coming by the Jedi Temple, and even more specifically, by my ship" he asked.
I continued to ignore him. Doing this only started to anger him, and he grew impatient with my lack of responses.
"We could do this the easy way, or the hard way. It's up to you" he said with his impatience growing larger.
Still no response from me. He wasn't going to find out anything, unless it was over my dead body.
A couple of seconds went by when suddenly, I could feel my throat tightening. I struggled to breath as I now diverted my gaze straight towards his face. My cuffed hands flew to my neck as all the air in my lungs felt like it was escaping.
"Okay, princess, hard way it is" he said with this new sinister sound in his voice.
I struggled as I could feel myself slowly loosing consciousness. It felt like I was going to die. My mind scrambled as I searched for something to do to get myself out of this situation, but nothing came to mind. I was going to die, and I didn't want that.
"I- will- tell- you" I said as I struggled to get those four words out.

The hold on my neck was set free, and I gasped for air as my hands hit the table in front of me.
"Good" he said with a smile.
What a filthy Jedi.
As I finally caught my breath, I started. "My orders were to come to the Jedi Temple, set a tracking beacon on your ship, and capture you while you were on your next mission. Then, I would take you to Count Dooku."
"Hmm, why does Count Dooku want me?"
"I have no idea" I said with a sassy tone. Though, the truth is, I did know. Count Dooku wanted Anakin in order to turn him to the darkside. He was the chosen one, so apparently, he is very powerful. But, Anakin didn't need to know that information.
He stared at me for a couple of seconds, like he was trying to read me. "I sense fear and deception within you. You're lying to me, is that right?"
Damn Jedi.
"It doesn't matter. Once Count Dooku realizes that I haven't come back from my mission, he will come searching for me. And he will bring battle droids" I said with confidence. The truth is, I could only hope that Dooku would come looking for me. I didn't actually know if he cared enough to do so.
"We'll see about that" he retorted.
Just then, the infamous Master Yoda came in through the door. I looked at him with a side eye, then looked away back to the wall that I was previously staring at. He appeared next to Anakin, cane in hand.
"What do we do with her" Anakin asked as Yoda scanned my face.
Yoda took a couple of seconds to think. "Keep and train her, we must."
Excuse me? Who does he think I am? I would never in a million years become a Jedi when I already had the Sith.
"What?! You want to train a Sith apprentice? Are you insane?" Anakin said, shocked.
Yoda turned his attention to Anakin, who was now regretting what he said.
"Trained like her father wanted, she needs to be" he responded.
"I'd rather be locked in a cell for the rest of my life than become one of you" I said in a disgusted tone.
"Tomorrow, her training begins. With you, it will be" Yoda said as he now looked back at me.
I could tell that Anakin couldn't process what was going on. He was still shocked that Yoda would even consider training me at all, but now that he had to train me, he just couldn't wrap his head around it.
Just then, a clone trooper appeared in the doorway. "To the detention center, you must take her. Stay there for the night, she will" Yoda said as he ordered the clone trooper to take me away.
I couldn't even process what was going on. Was I really about to start training to become a Jedi when, literally, the day before, I was training with the Sith? And how could they have possibly known that my father wanted this when he's been dead for 16 years?
I had to be dreaming, this was just some kind of nightmare. But no, it was real life.
As I was escorted out of the room, I looked back to see the two Jedi one more time. Anakin was still in a state of shock, and Yoda watched me with content as I left the room. Well, this should be interesting.

A Fragmented Mind
"Hi there. My name is Richard Maddox, but my — admittedly nonexistent — friends call me Rick. I live in a world of superheroes and villains. A world filled with magic and physics-defying powers, and in this world, I'm just an ordinary, completely average 17-year-old boy. My imaginary friends, however, are as far from average as you get. You think you're good at deluding yourself? Well, stand back, because it's time for a master to show you his craft. Welcome to my life, the life of a madman." This story was originally inspired by the 'Legion' novella series written by Brandon Sanderson. If you've read those books and liked them, it might be worth giving this a read. The same goes if you haven't read them either, I guess. (Currently re-writing earlier chapters)
