《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 107: Goodbye

"Great emotions you will find in Scipio, will you not?" Master Yoda asked. His small body walked beside mine. We strolled along the large windows of the hanger, slowly approaching my ship.
Beside me was another body, Master Windu. He was worried just as I was.
I let a slight sigh escape my lips, pressured to answer to the best of my abilities. "I am worried for Senator Amidala. I'm afraid we may be too late." I elaborated. The last intercom we received was hours ago. I knew she was strong and could hold herself out, but I also knew Clovis was involved.
His stupidity can drive anyone to insanity.
"Correct, you were about Clovis, but let go of your selfishness you must if you are to see clearly." Master Yoda hinted. His cane hit the concrete ground coming to our stopping point.
"Not all is at it seems," he added, his hand gesturing over to the entrance.
"I understand, Master." I bowed, comforting any doubt he might have.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked Clovis. He stood overlooking his mass destruction that was the Banking Clan. Why would he burn it down if the Muuns were so important to him? My mind couldn't comprehend the severity of the situation. I was collared with shackles only used to those with force capabilities.
"You wouldn't understand, Y/n." his index finger and thumb lay on the bridge of his nose. "I had to strike a deal with Count Dooku, but dont worry, I am the one in control." Clovis blurted. Both hands were now up in the air, signs of overwhelmedness plastered over all his body. His breath hitched every moment it had a second.
"As soon as things have settled down, I can get rid of him, and I'll control it all again." He stuttered. He didn't see the severity of how wicked Dooku could be. Clovis was weak in emotions, weak in matters he didn't understand.
"You can't get rid of Dooku; he is too powerful," I responded, shutting my eyes tight from the overwhelming flashbacks on Tattooine. "Listen to yourself. The republic is sending its armada to take back the banks. You've brought war right where there cannot be war." I shouted. The slight movements of my arms made the shackle around my neck electrocute my body.
The pain quickly settled before it stopped. A grunt left my lips, my eyes wandering back onto his as he watched, not moving an inch to help.

"Your actions have destroyed the banks once and for all!" I added in another scream. I was again feeling the waves of pain run around my body.
"Stop moving, please!" He articulated, moving to help, but stopped by Dooku's clankers.
Our eyes locked again, "You never cared, did you?" I asked softly.
"I care about you more than you know," he answered. His eyes peeled away from mine to lock onto the ground. "From the moment I met you as kids, you were beautiful," he whispered, but just enough to make out what he had said.
"You were right beside Padme; well, you almost always were," he chuckled.
I swallowed thickly. I didn't want to make any recollections of the past or blather on of our memories. It wasn't the right time, nor did any of it make me feel any way towards him. They were memories of when I was just a servant to my sister.
Being in politics wasn't a happy memory; it was just a mere reflection of what I thought I should do.
"Sir, a Republic attack fleet has just entered the orbit and is approaching the city." The intercom of the office desk voiced. A Muun appeared before us.
"Get me, Count Dooku," Clovis fumed in response.
"It appears Count Dooku has left the planet's surface." The Muun answered.
My eyes went wide, as did Clovis's. Just as I thought, disaster was about to unfold heavily onto his shoulders.
"What?" Clovis asked rhetorically; shocked, his body took a few steps back, banking his waist onto his desk.
"And the Separatist forces are in full retreat. We are alone." The Muun concluded, disappearing, leaving Clovis in desperate despair.
My eyes focused on the small dots in the sky that later became larger from the large window. The Republic fleet, I smiled.
Clovis seemed to notice the same thing. His movements were slow as we walked towards the window. "Such plans I had." he laid his two hands onto his desk, leaning his head down towards it.
"You know I've spent so much of my life misunderstood. What will they say about me now? What will I have left behind?" Clovis's voice croaked. He was emotional, and I couldn't help but feel some form of empathy.
"Clovis, you have to turn yourself in." I sympathized. It was the only emotional response I had left in me for him. He had turned my head in so many directions I could no longer see any good in his decisions.

That's when I felt it, the warmness. He was here; Anakin was here.
The sound of his lightsaber ignited, and I quickly turned my head around, shrugging off the electrical impulses that circulated once again.
His lightsaber stabbed into the two metal clankers' chests before slicing both their arms and head. His elegancy was perfect, getting everything down in one smooth motion. Soon, his eyes locked onto my body, a warm smile formed but quickly disappeared.
I felt the cold hands of Clovis wrap themselves around my neck, his blaster pointing right onto my head.
"It's over, Clovis," Anakin articulated. The tip of his saber pointed in his direction. He seemed relatively calm and not fumed over the past events. Perhaps he finally understood, but it didn't improve the situation. I was wrong once again, and he knew I was.
"Stay away from me! I didn't do anything wrong! You have to believe me!" Clovis shouted back. He took a few steps backward, dragging me along with him. His breath hit my shoulder in a fast pattern. He was afraid.
"You dont want to do this," Anakin assured, he took a few steps forward, making Clovis and I take a few steps back. "You dont understand. You've all been deceived." he nervously answered back.
"Yeah, by you." Ani scoffed.
"No! By Count Dooku. I'm not the villain here. Tell him, Y/n!" Clovis screamed right into my ear. He pushed my body, still holding me in his arms. "Let me go, Clovis." I insisted. His arms were closing onto my neck, making breathing more difficult.
The room started to ease into darkness; all our eyes peered back onto the window. And before anyone could even more speak, a separatist ship flew right into our room. The window shattered, and glass quickly flew everywhere.
The base of the room was falling to a slope. Clovis's arms no longer held onto my chest but to the wrist of my arm; he clung to any piece of furniture he could with his other holding our bodies from slipping.
However, it didn't hold. The planet chandeliers from the office came crashing down onto both our bodies. Forced to let go, our bodies quickly began to slide down. "No!" I heard Anakin scream.
I looked into the direction of my feet; I was inches away from the edge, as was Clovis.
"Anakin!" I screamed. My hands dug into the metal. That's when I felt nothing underneath my body anymore.
"I got you!" Anakin grunted. His hands held onto mine and Clovis's as we dangled in the air.
"I can't hold both of you." Anakin panted. His teeth were closed tight, and his brows furrowed tensely. He was using any possible strength; he had to hold two people for as long as possible.
"Let me go." Clovis pleaded. My eyes snapped onto his. No, no, this can't happen.
"No, Anakin, don't." I chanted.
His grunts became louder.
"Try and climb up," Anakin suggested. I nodded my head, starting to climb up his arm, but there was no way I could do so many movements with this shock collar on.
"I can't," I hinted towards my neck.
"I'm losing you!" Anakin shouted. His pupils grew more significant than they were seconds ago—a sense of fear accumulated over all his body.
"I'm sorry, Y/n. Forgive me." Clovis softly uttered. My head turned in his direction; before having the chance to say anything, his hand freed itself from Anakins.
"No!" I shouted.
The pain I felt took over my whole body and mind. His body disappeared quickly in a matter of seconds. My eyes didn't dare move from the last place I saw him, hoping that he would be okay somehow.
I felt my body begin to be lifted. I shut my eyes for a quick few seconds before diverting my attention to helping.
Anakin's left arm wrapped itself around my waist, moving me farther away from the edge. "It's okay. You're okay." He took a large deep breath, taking off the collar wrapped around my neck.
My body caved into his arms, leaning my head onto his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, Anakin. I'm sorry." I professed. He was right about everything and Clovis. I should have just listened, and now he is dead. All because I couldn't see the bigger picture.
"It's over now. It's all over now." He reassured. His lips kissed the top of my head, holding me closer and tighter in his grip.

The Supernormal
In a world where fantasy has become everyday, one man stands against absurdity. The local Tower stomps through the streets. Any hedge could contain a witch. Walls regularly crumble, though none more often than the fourth. In the magical city of Blackpool, all ridiculousness is possible, and it takes everything for Jack Of All Trades to survive. Badly, at that. Perpetually late with his rent, he'll take up arms for any paying customer in order to fulfill his quest. His obstacles include polka-loving ghosts, card-game playing vampires, and the most vicious monsters of all: copyright lawyers. When he's joined by an arrogant magus and an insecure vampire, his life gets even more complicated, but no matter what kind of infuriating choose-your-own-adventure he finds himself on, one constant remains—his rent is due at the end of the month. On second thoughts, maybe he should stay in bed. The Supernormal isn't your average web-novel. It's an urban fantasy parody that saunters through a world full of the absurd, delighting in poking fun at popular media, widely-accepted ideas, and often itself. Story arcs only loosely connect through the characters, who are themselves slowly fleshed out as the story continues. Think of Discworld meets The Dresden Files meets Gintama. This novel won't be for everyone, but if it is for you, you're in for a hell of a ride.
