《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 101: Very Bad Plans

The following morning, we made our way straight to the Vaults. The nervous tension of going through with Clovis's plan was frightful. I had always done these missions with Anakin, so it was out of the ordinary to be with Clovis.
The enormous tall doors of the vault stood right in front of my eyes. The members of the Banking Clan members stood outside, waiting for our arrival. Beside me were Clovis and Teckla.
I walked a few steps ahead, making them wait for a few feet behind. I stood in front of the first step before the very tall Banking Clan member had begun to walk its way toward my body. They had guards posted in every corner.
The four other clan members walked diligently to the front doors placing their hands on a green orb. The one member who stood in front of my body must be the one who was in charge. He had a red robe different from the others. His eyes peered into mine before he slowly turned his body and proceeded to walk in the direction of the others.
He placed his hand onto the last orb that was in the middle of the others. Then suddenly, the doors of the vault opened. The loud creaks of the wheels of the door echoed throughout the area we were in. It was almost like it was a magical moment that rarely happened. Steam from the doors shot out. Clovis was right; it was heavily secured.
My face had become bright gold as the inside of the vault was now exposed. My lips slightly parted themselves as I was amazed to see what was inside.
I walked the small steps that led me closer to the entrance of the door. My heels stepping on the metal ground echoed. Beside me were the members who had their shoulders right beside mine. We walked in a small line when I turned back around to find Clovis still standing in the same spot I left him in.
The plan, after all, was for Clovis to be the one to implant the bomb, but seeing as Teckla is gone, that role was assigned to someone else. I swear if she gets hurt, Clovis will regret it. I made eye contact with his green eyes before he slightly nodded. A confirmation that everything would be okay.
I turned back around, facing the council members as the doors behind me shut close. "If you will follow me. The credits for the Republic are in this section." The leader of the Council directed. I softly smiled and followed in his lead. Looking around the vault, this place was huge.
I tried to picture the image Clovis had shown when we were sitting near the fireplace at his residence. The exact turns I would have to take and, most importantly, the terminal I must find.
As we walked a couple of more seconds, the light of the vault had shut down. She did it, Teckla managed to pull the power out. "What happened to the lights?" One of the Council members asked, frightened. His hands stood by his sides as his face wandered the entire place. "I can't see a thing!" He screamed.

A slight smirk made its way onto my face before I stepped out, making my way quickly into the direction of the terminal I was supposed to reach. The sirens of the vault became intensely loud, making it perfect for my heels to run around in.
I turned a few sharp corners before I found "the terminal." I kneeled, taking the USB out of my belt and inserting it quickly. In a matter of seconds, it had downloaded. Perfect, now all I must do is act afraid and lost.
I ran in the direction of the screaming council members and saw that the vault doors had opened a slight bit. I crept in behind them once again as they all pushed themselves out. "Where is the Senator?" One of them asked.
I was still behind a few bodies. "We got separated in the darkness." One of them replied.
"I'm here. No thanks to your security system!" I shouted as I pushed myself out of the narrow doorway. I dusted off the dirt that had accumulated on my purple dress, "This isn't a vault; it's a tomb." I exaggerated. I took a few steps forwards, looking into the direction of the lead council member.
"What is going on?" I played off.
"My deepest apologies, Senator." He bowed slightly. He was embarrassed by what had occurred.
"It seems I'm witness to many firsts on Scipio. Is this an unfortunate incident or a cover-up?" I seethed. I pointed back onto the vault, making sure they had a clear picture.
"I'm... I'm not sure what you mean?" The lead answered back, confused.
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to report on your sad affairs to the Chancellor," I concluded. I felt a soft presence; it was Clovis's hand that had landed itself on the back of my waist. Instantly, I thought of Anakin. He placed his hand exactly where Ani's hand found itself most of the time.
It has been days since I've heard anything from him. I was too busy with the Senate, and he was too busy playing around with the Jedi. Who would have known? Everything still stayed the same after I left.

It was dark, and I returned to my Pen house, knocking off any suggestions to head back to Clovis's residence. I have not heard from Teckla, nor was she around. My nerves were through the roof; something went wrong, I could feel it.
"Let's see if you got what you needed," Clovis demanded. As much as I hated the fact of the dismissal of Teckla, it was only a matter of time before they would discover the events that unfolded. I took out the small USB plugging it into my small device, and then connected it onto the coffee table.
What came up was numbers upon numbers. All calculating and processing. The numbers that had appeared were zeros. It was true; the Banking Clan had no money at all.

"As I said, the vaults are empty." He voiced. I grasped my thoughts immediately, "The Chancellor must see this immediately." I commented. But as soon as the words escaped my mouth, the doors of the pen quickly opened. Oh no, they caught on now.
In stepped the Council members along with their fellow guards. I got up from the couch, taking the USB and placing it quickly into Clovis's hands.
"Senator Amidala, you are under arrest for espionage." The lead council member vouched.
"No, there's been some mistake." Clovis got up from the couch, pleading. However, his persuasion skills didn't win on this account.
"Take her away."
Two of the guards quickly came from each side of the couch, pushing my body forward.
"I have powerful friends. The Chancellor will hear about this." I snared before the Council. They pushed me all the way down to the deepest levels of the building until finally, I had reached my destination.
It wasn't exactly a five-star penthouse, but it would do. It was a small and circular chamber they had placed me in. Locking the door behind them, I sat in silence, waiting for what would happen next. Little did they know, underneath this dress was a Jedi weapon. Pathetic, so much security, but yet it was easy to break those rules.
Now and then, the guards of the chamber would give me food, but it seemed like hours of being held into this dark room. I had no idea how much time had passed but found myself sleeping through most of it. My dreams were peaceful, something I hadn't experienced in quite some time.
Mostly my dreams were filled with the Naboo Lakes and my long-lasting desire to return once and for all. However, I knew it wasn't possible. The Jedi Temple was located in Coruscant along with Anakin. If we ever had the chance to run away, I would take it.
But those dreams were destroyed. Teckla was found dead. The explosion must have killed her, and my heart was filled with guilt. I had let her down, but also Padme. She was, after all, more loyal to my sister than she was with me.
The doors of the chambers slid open and small laughter came. My eyes adjusted to the bright light that filled in the room. Hmm, unusual, it wasn't time for my next meal. "Well, well, well. What exactly is going on here?"
I rubbed my eyes quickly, sitting up in the process. Finally, my eyes landed on the boy with blue eyes. "Ani, I'm so glad to see you!" I got up from the couch and made my way to his body, immediately wrapping my hands around his neck.
"Ah, I guess I'm not only useful for fighting wars after all." He commented, his hands wrapping themselves too around my waist.
"How long have I been here?" I asked, stepping away and taking a quick look outside before being blinded again by the brightness.
"A few days." He replied, sitting on the couch. A few days? My thoughts ran straight towards Teckla.
"They say Teckla is dead. Is that true?" I asked. I sat back down on the couch, my chin laying onto the palms of my hands. I didn't want to know but found myself curious.
"Yes. She was found shot at the bombsite." Anakin answered. Shot? Perhaps it was the same person who only a few days ago wanted to tear our heads apart.
"By who?" I asked.
"They don't know. The Muuns say Teckla sabotaged the power grid," he replied. I took a deep sigh, frustrated how everything went down. She didn't deserve to die.
"What exactly is going on here?" He added. How do I tell him the truth? The truth is that Clovis was once again in the picture. That everything that has occurred was because of him, but also because of me.
"You have to get me out of here. Clovis has-" I began.
"Clovis?" His words quickly rushed onto mine.
My lips parted themselves slightly.
"What exactly does Clovis have to do with this?" He questioned. His voice changed. He was filled with anger and not one I had seen.
I sighed again, explaining this was going to be long and terrible. "Ugh, I can't explain it here." I stuttered. His posture was terrifying. I knew he wouldn't hurt me, but there was something different. He has never acted so angry before.
"How could you ever put your trust in a man like Clovis after what he did?" he shouted. His face inches away from mine. I looked down onto the floor. Searching for the correct words to say. "It's for the Republic, Anakin. Something is very wrong with the banks," I answered, though it didn't seem to make things any easier.
"Why is it that when Clovis is around, your excuse is always that you're "doing it for the Republic." Anakin seethed. He turned his back around as he walked near the exit of the chamber.
"Anakin, please..." I begged. I stood up from sitting, walking up to the door that had slid open.
He turned back around, his face still furious than ever. "You know, maybe I'll just leave you here." he placed his hands onto this waist as he stared back coldly. "Ani." I lowered my voice, hurt if it were true.
"You've already been released into my custody. You better come with me before I change my mind." His voice settled down. His eyes and posture became calmer and settled down.
Well, that went very well.

The Head That Wears The Crown
It's a tale as old as time. Boy goes to funeral. Boy gets sucked into a different world. Boy has to lead a settlement. Boy has to lead a settlement? Boy has to lead a settlement. This is a story about that settlement, and some other stuff. Maybe. Disclaimer: Not sure if it qualifies enough for a gore tag. There is a description of someone's death somewhere in this, but I don't think it is descriptive enough to justify a gore tag. Disclaimer part deux: I initially started writing this as background for another story but got so into it I just ended fleshing it out a bit. Disclaimer part tres: People love reading disclaimers don't they? It's why I've included so many. They're just for you. Disclaimer part four: I know, this is getting egregious. You're starting to find it less funny. Just wait till the twentieth disclaimer, it will start being funny again. Disclaimer part five: I'm kidding, this is the last one. I don't promise I'll read every comment or message, but I certainly welcome your feedback. Disclaimer part six: I lied, it wasn't the last one. I wrote this story without breaking it down into chapters. It just goes, that means that the chapter ends when it ends, not when there is a convenient break in the story. That means that it's very annoying for you as a reader since chapters can end mid sentence. Hah! Sucker! Disclaimer part seven: Get ready for slow updates. Who knows when this will continue. Toss it on read later and come back in fifty years. Disclaimer part eight: Cover Photo by Arthur Ogleznev on Unsplash
