《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 93: Ahsoka

"Anakin, I'm sorry the Chancellor wants to have a quick chat." I sighed, placing down my lightsaber back into the small cardboard box. Devastated, I looked at the handle that once was in my hand every day. Now the only thing I had to hold on to was... nothing.
"A quick chat about what?" Anakin stopped by the door of our house. His eyes and face were the same as mine, devastated. We thought for once we would be on another mission together. "I'm not quite sure, perhaps my role as a senator." I weakly smiled. I tried my hardest to lighten up the mood, but in all honesty, I wanted more than ever to leave the door with him.
I needed him more than ever at this time. I felt the urge to tell him everything about what I've been keeping a secret. To tell him I was carrying our baby, and not just any ordinary baby, but a baby that was prohibited.
He placed his hand onto the sides of my shoulders, caressing them slowly as his eyes slowly moved up from my waist to my face. "I'm sure it's nothing to worry about." he smiled and kissed the top of my forehead.
Anakin's love language was touch, and his touch was just about the thing to cure any sickness I had.
My eyes followed his back as he made his way towards the door; touching the handle, he looked back, and this time his eyes sparkled. They seemed to glow, but he gently nodded and closed the door leaving me once again.
I sighed, "3po, get our ride ready," I yelled from the living room. That droid spent most of his time in the storage room doing who knows what. He likes to organize and well, always order the other droids around.

Arriving at the Chancellor's door, I was confused. I asked myself what sort of things he would want to even talk about. Even his guards that stood at the front of his doors gave a chilling presence.
"I'm here to see the Chancellor," I commented as the two guards looked at me with a mean demeanor. "Come in, my child," Palpatine's voice echoed as the doors slid open. He wore his usual red dress robe.
"You wanted to see me?" I asked immediately. I was not too fond of surprises, and my nerves we already on top. "Yes, yes, I am aware that you are the newly elected Senator of Naboo, taking the place of your sister's?" He questioned as his left hand grabbed the back of my waist, pushing me towards his desk. "That is correct," I replied.
We reached his desk and insisted I sit in his dark red chair. His fingers intertwined themselves as he laid them onto his desk. "I sense this decision was hard to come across?" His voice was thick and confident. "Well, leaving the order wasn't the easiest, but I come to rest that being on the Senate was for the best," I replied with a thick swallow.
"I see. Tell me, child, has the Jedi pushed you far?" He questioned. I raised an eyebrow, confused, but before I had the chance to ask questions further, he sat up from his desk and slowly walked to his large glass window. "Forgive me, but I remember the girl that walked in her first day of training, excited to be in the order, but yet you stand here wanting to become a Senator. There must be something that has driven you so far away from your wishes," He commented.

"My wishes are to make the galaxy and the people safe, and to be a Senator will bring me one step closer," I replied.
"Yet I sense trouble." He added. His face turned around slowly as his eyes caught a glimpse of mine. Quickly I moved them away, trying my best not to make eye contact.
"Excuse me, Chancellor, we have some news about the refugee" one of the clones walked in, heading straight to Palpatine. They whispered back and forth with each other before the Clone headed back out.
"It seems Ahsoka Tano has been arrested for the murder of Letta."
My eyes popped wide open as my whole body sat up at once. "What?" I asked, confused. There was no way Ahsoka would do anything such as that. I walked away, heading to the doors of the entrance.
"We will continue our chat later," Palpatine ordered. I stopped in my steps, taking a quick look back before shaking off what he had said. My whole focus was on Ahsoka. There had to be more than what they were saying.

"I said my Padawan is in there." I heard Anakin's voice as I walked through the halls of the facility Ahsoka was placed in. "Now, step aside." Ani's voice became more aggressive as if he was about to snap at any moment.
"General Skywalker, Senator Amidala, Admiral Tarkin have ordered that one be allowed in there." The Clone guarding Ahsoka cell said in a stern, firm voice. "Please, all we want is an explanation," I commented, hoping it would do something.
There was a glass panel that stood between the Clone and ourselves. There was a short moment of silence, perhaps he was debating, but that moment of science was enough to make Anakin's hand fold itself in.
"I don't care what she's accused of. Let me in." His voice was chilling and profound. His other hand placed itself onto the glass harshly as he pointed with his index finger. "Anakin," I grabbed his fist and slowly pulled his body away from the glass, and as we turned around, the two guards who stood near the main entrance lit their spears.
"Sorry. The Admirals' orders stand. This is now a military operation and under his jurisdiction," The Clone responded. I rolled my eyes; I never had a liking for Tarkin. He always seemed to place himself above others no matter who it was and especially had a thing for Ahsoka.
Ani's brows furrowed themselves; oh boy, he was not happy at all. His lips pushed themselves together, and still in the grips of my hand, he pulled me along to the entrance of the door when he shoved one of the guards pushing the Clone back.

Dungeon Devotee
Through all of Linaria, no dungeon holds such a grip on the dreams of men as the Eternal Depths. Hundreds throw themselves against its trials each day. Dozens survive, walking away with power and wealth beyond their wildest dreams… until they go back for more. One way or another, they all eventually feed the Depths. Edmund Montgomery Ahab has sworn to destroy it. Underleveled, undertrained, and underprepared, Edmund steps into the maw of the world’s greatest predator, a sword in his hand and vengeance on his mind. At first his task seems impossible, but with every level he earns, every piece of loot that drops, every secret he uncovers, and especially every bit of power he can squeeze from his mysterious connection to the Aspect of Madness, Edmund crawls closer to accomplishing that insurmountable feat. With nothing else to lose, Edmund has already given the Depths his life. All that remains to be seen is whether he takes the dungeon’s right back. Dungeon Devotee is an episodic serial. It will never be taken down for KU. Each chapter details a single floor of Edmund’s journey through the vast Eternal Depths, with all the levels and loot and lack of cliffhangers that entails. New chapters come out on the first of each month.

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
