《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 57: Bounty

I walked to the command center, ready to be in the same room as Anakin. I knew deep inside he'll be annoying and stubborn the whole mission.
I sighed; I fixed my hair that was flowing in a slick ponytail. My outfit was the same as always; Jedi robes. I didn't wear much makeup; I never really had time to put on a full glam. Instead, I was busy killing droids.
I entered the command center seeing the hologram on the table had already started. Great, Anakin didn't tell me about it. I rolled my eyes walking standing on the other side of the table.
"Our base has been overrun. There's no possibility of evacuation. Aah! They've taken General Ropal and the Holocron memory crystal." A clone trooper shouted. He held his gun tightly as it shook into his hand. I placed my hand over my mouth as the blasters hit him on his shoulder.
"Do you know where they've taken him?" Anakin yelled. He slammed his fits against the table, making the objects shake. My eyes wandered to his face, surprised at how angry he was. No one knew the real reason, so they might have thought he was crazy.
"Sorry, sir. We tried to stop them, but they left the outpost." The troop replied. His voice was shaking, and his head was looking in every direction until a droid pulled him backward. He faded from the hologram, and the awkward silence started.
Anakin didn't dare look at my face; he wandered to all places in the room except me.
"We have to find out what ship Master Ropal is on." He directed. He walked towards the exit door once again, leaving me with the others.
It seemed like hours, but it was only a few minutes before he came in. His hair seemed a bit damp like he had washed his hair in the water. Only his clothes were dry, and he appeared to be in distress.
"General, a Separatist command ship is fleeing the battle." Admiral Yularen mentioned. I looked to the large window; the seppies were retreating.
"You think they have Master Ropal?" I asked. I was still looking out towards the ship as it entirely made its turn.
"I'm sure of it," Anakin replied. My heart skipped a beat hearing his voice. It was a simple reply, yes, but it meant a lot. Perhaps he was getting over the whole ordeal.
"Admiral, intercept them before they make a jump into hyperspace. I'll ready the troops up for boarding." Anakin directed. He placed his hands behind his back as Admiral Yularen frowned.
"Boarding? We have no aircraft. We prepared to land on the planet, not to board another ship. You can't be serious." The Admiral replied. He sounded annoyed and somewhat angry. He looked at Anakin like he was about to beat him, and I couldn't lie; I wanted to also.

"Well, you see, Admiral, Anakin has a way of being," I mumbled, thinking of the next word I should say. "Ah, he is a hardass," I added. The Admiral slightly laughed as Anakin's eyes shot straight into mine.
"Well, Admiral, I am serious. Thank you for your opinion, Master Amidala. Now target their hyperdrive. We don't want them getting away." Anakin scolded, his eyes never left mine. I felt the tension in the room, the tension between us.

Although we didn't have a ship to get on the seppies cruiser, Anakin's genius idea was to take some walkers instead. The bottom of the walkers had magnetic bases that would help us aboard. He had his moments, but he was always good at planning.
Anakin and I didn't take the same walker; he wanted to be on his own to have "time to plan." I didn't mind, but it did hurt.
Instead, I hopped on the walker with Commander Rex. He always seemed to be in a good mood, and a friend was all I needed right now, even though he knew nothing about the situation.
I could use this time to build a bond and talk crap about Ani. Which we did, but they were only light jokes. Jokes that included how he always crashed a ship he flew. I smiled through the jokes, not to be rude, but because I loved all those things he did.
The feet of the walkers slammed onto the Separatist ship, shaking the droids that were on top. The blaster shots flew right in our direction, making me focus on my balance. Anakin was to the left on the other walker. He seemed determined and cute in his astronaut suit. I wish I could tell him how good he looked.
R2 opened a small hatch we could slide right easily through.
We ran to the front of the ship, to the command center. Everything, including Bane, would be posted here. But when we opened the door, or should I say, blasted the doors, he was gone. All that was left were the dumb droids.
So, as usual, the troops and Anakin got straight into battle. My saber sliced the heads, legs, hands, and chests of the droids until they were all wiped out.
"R2, see if you can find Master Jopal." I directed. My eyes viewed over the whole ship, wondering where Bane might have gone. He was a bounty hunter and a pretty good one.
R2 pulled up a Holocron message and what showed was devastating. Bane had both parts. He had the Holocron and the crystal.
"Rex, send a squad. Lockdown the hanger and destroy all escape pods. No one gets off this ship." Anakin commented. He was angrier and more annoyed than ever. I sighed; I just wanted things to be back to normal.

Explosions quickly zapped my mind back on track. The whole ship was being blown into pieces. I looked at Anakin, terrified in which he did the same.
"General Skywalker, one of the engines on that frigate has exploded. I caution you to avoid that aft section." Admiral Yularens voice echoed in the room.
"How much damage is there?" Anakin questioned. He spoke into his intercom as quickly as he could. He held onto the sides of the terminals keeping his balance as the ship was still trembling.
"I suggest immediate evacuation." The Admiral replied.
Immediate evacuation? We had just boarded this ship, and now we have to get off. Master Jopal was still here, and even Bane held precious Jedi information.
"Not until we get what we came here for." Anakin voiced. He turned off his intercom, stopping communication with the Admiral. His blue eyes came into contact with mine but quickly turned away in an instance.
We quickly headed down to the chambers to locate Master Jopal. I had hope he was still alive, but knowing Bane, the chances of that were very slim.
We started from the far back and continued to the center of the room. It was until I found the door to see Jopal lying on the ground dead. My eyes widen at the view. "Anakin, I found him!" I yelled, terrified out how his body had been left.
"Rex have some men take Master Ropal back to the Resolute." Anakin softly said. It was the first time today he had some feelings.
"We might not be able to find the Holocron in time, Anakin. But if it's destroyed with this ship, Nute Gunray won't get it either." I proposed. He placed his hands on the side of his waist, thinking for a moment.
"Maybe, but I'd rather return it to the library personally," Ani replied. I rolled my eyes softly, annoyed at how stubborn this boy is.
The ship's lights flickered, indicating there were only a few minutes left until this ship would be left in pieces.
We decided to roam the ship. Our sabers were our only source of light; the whole ship had become dark. The entire area was chilling and terrifying. In some ways, it seemed like I was in some horror movie.
My eyes would stare at the wall and vents, preparing for something to reach out and touch me when suddenly something ran in front of us. It looked like Bane!
"There!" Anakin shouted.
We followed behind the bounty hunter tracking his every step. We turned corners and corners of the ship, not knowing where he was leading us to until we ran straight into the hanger that held a massive amount of droids.
Bane walked into the front row. He smiled confidently, touching the tip of his hat.
"Welcome, Jedi. We've been expecting you. Kill them!" Bane yelled.
The massive number of droids charged in our direction. Blaster shots coming from them in the process. Anakin ran straight towards Bane deflecting his shots.
"Watch out!" Rex yelled. I focused my attention back on the droids that were creeping right behind me. I ducked quickly and swiped their feet off the ground, then their heads. However, I noticed my feet started to float in the air and the rest of the crew.
Bane must have set magnetics.
"R2, turn the gravity generators back on!" I yelled.
The small droid chirped and quickly flew to the small control panel. Some of the troops stuck to the metal ceiling while some of the others were still floating around.
That was until R2 turned the generator back on, making everyone slam onto the metal floor.
My back slammed onto the ground. I grunted; why was it always my back? I sat up, noticing Anakin and Bane were at it again. However, Bane had other plans in mind. He shot up into the roof, planning for the troop to fall. Luckily, Anakin used the Force to stop the impact.
I saw this chance as a way to follow Bane.
"I'll get him!" I yelled as I charged towards Bane.
"Y/n, wait! It's a trap!" Anakin yelled from afar. I didn't listen. Instead, I ran behind the bounty hunter. The doors shut right behind us, leaving only him and me.
"You thought you could get away?" I teased. He stopped in his tracks and slowly looked into my face. He had a wide grin that was confusing. What could he be all giddy about?
"You're not much of a challenge, Jedi. I got you right where I wanted." Bane confidently stood. He pulled out his gun, facing it in my direction, pulling the trigger.
I used my lightsaber to deflect the shot, making it bounce right back onto his arm. He grunted in pain as he grabbed his wrist.
I proceeded into an attack swinging my saber onto him.
Though, he kicked it out of hand, making it land onto the ground. He took out his blaster once more, facing it again onto my face. My body charged right at it, twisting his arm as he grunted a few more times. I flipped him over, slamming his body onto the metal ground.
"I'm not impressed." I teased.
I looked over back into the direction my saber had landed. I was using the Force to retract it back into my hands. As I did, an electric wave hit my body. I screamed in agony as the pain circulated throughout my whole body.
I landed on the ground, blacking out slowly.
