《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 56: Crystal Fire

I leaned against the bookshelf, fully overthinking the situation. What if I messed up? No, I'm just overthinking.
I sighed, slapping my forehead before my intercom blinked.
"Y/n. Be on alert; there is an intruder who just arrived. The intruder is posting as a Jedi. I need you to stay with Padawan Ahsoka." Master Windu said.
"Understood," I snapped out of my thoughts, peering into the vast library. Nobody seemed to be around, not even the old librarian. I crept a few more steps, my eyes wandering over the tall shelves and desks. Until I finally found the beaded Padawan.
"Ahsoka," I whispered, making her face turn quickly. "Oh, you scared me, Master." She replied in a hushed tone, letting go of the hold she had on her saber hilt.
However, we were suddenly on high alert. From a distance was a small chirping sound. Someone has attempted to communicate. Ahsoka and I stared at each other before we quickly ran into one of the many aisles.
I leaned my back once again on the shelves looking over my shoulder.
"Bane, the two Jedi have turned around and are making their way towards you." The voice of an older woman was heard.
"Stay here," I ordered. She nodded her head. I walked over to the desk where the imposter was sitting. I furrowed my brows; this is who they picked? Well, that isn't very smart.
"Who are you, and what have you done with Madame Jocasta?" I seethed through my teeth. There was a small giggle as the imposter turned around in her chair.
"The same thing I'm going to do to you." She jumped out of the chair, igniting a blue lightsaber. I smirked. I always loved to play around. I ignited mine in an instance, blocking her hit.
"You made a mistake." I teased as I kicked the lady a few feet away. Her grunts were loud as she stood on both of her weak legs again. "You know, I wouldn't have picked an old librarian; it makes you weaker." I laughed as I ran in her direction, swinging my lightsaber.

The imposter ran towards the main exit. "Oh come on, the party just started!" I yelled. I used the force to pull out a chair making her trip onto her stomach. I quickly ran from behind, holding my saber up to her neck. Her face was shocked and scared; she had a few bruises, but nothing too severe.
"You may have Madame Jocasta's shape, but not her skills." I joked through gritted teeth. I laid my saber still near her throat as we stared directly at each other. "Master, are you okay?" Ahsoka asked, running behind my body.
She stopped staring at Jocasta's body as it changed back to its original form. He looked like a bug; it was hideous. "Keep an eye on this; I need to inform Master Skywalker" I retracted my saber, placing it back on my belt.
Ahsoka kept her eyes on the creature making sure he didn't try anything funny. I walked a few feet away from the situation, making sure he didn't hear anything.
"Anakin, I've captured the imposter disguised as a Jedi. She says the intruders in the Holocron vault." I commented on making Anakin and Obiwan retreat to the vault. I stood in the middle of the library, admiring the details. Hmm, still dull.
But from the corner of the eye was the real Madame Jocasta.
"Madame Jocasta, are you okay?" I asked as she rubbed the back of her neck harshly. Her body looked worn out, and her eyes hung low. "I, uh, think I'm all right. We must call security." She rubbed her temples slowly and opened her eyes.
"I got him in cuffs, Master." Ahsoka came from behind, pushing the changeling. "Great work Ahsoka. Take him in." I ordered as we walked out the doors of the library.
I headed to the Jedi vaults making sure everything seemed fine but ran into the crew. Anakin looked behind. His arms were crossed, but a smile drew across his face.

"What would someone want with a Holocron?" Obi-Wan asked as he walked in my direction. I shrugged, answering his question before we all walked out the door again.
"Wait." I stopped halfway, making their faces look in my direction.
"The changeling was mumbling about a Jedi named Bolla Ropal. It's Banes' next target." I added. My Master furrowed his brows. By the way, he was standing; there was something more.
"Whos Bolla Ropal?" Anakin asked. He was just as confused as I was. My Master sighed, "He is the keeper of the Kyber crystal, the data on which can only be read on Holocrons."
"What's on the crystal?" I asked.
"A list of every known Force-sensitive child in the galaxy. The future younglings. The future of the Jedi Order." Master Windu crossed his arms as he described what the crystal was. This was something more severe than I thought.
"We must warn him," I commented, making all their heads nod. "That's going to be hard to do. He's out of contact, somewhere in the Deveron system." Master Windu replied. He shook his head as he walked past my shoulder.
I looked at Yoda to answer what else we could do before it was too late. "Seek him out, you must," Yoda said.
"Y/n and I will set out immediately," Anakin replied. His eyes stared into mine, smiling weakly. My heart began to beat, and I remembered our last conversation. I knew what he wanted to do, and I had to admit, I was nervous.

We boarded unto the large Republic cruiser heading to the Deveron System. Anakin and I went out separate ways as we prepared for the mission.
Well, I avoided any situation where things might happen. I didn't know what to expect or when it would happen. I knew sooner or later he'll bump into me on this large cruiser.
I walked around the halls avoiding the command center of the ship. I passed by fellow troops as they greeted me, but I was pulled into a room halfway through. Yup, I knew exactly who it was.
"You're avoiding me." He articulated. His face was angry as he stood tall, hovering over my small body. "I wasn't ignori-" I started but quickly was interrupted. "Is that so? Then why are you on the deeper levels?" He asked. His voice was a loud whisper.
"Okay, I was." I blurted out. His pupils grew wide as his lips slightly opened. "Not in that way. I know what we said in the library, and I got nervous." I quickly babbled. His facial expression stayed the same as his eyes wandered onto the ground.
"Ani?" I asked, worried. He looked up from the ground, looking into my eyes. "If that was the case, you could have just said something instead of just ignoring me." he scolded. His eyes flickered to the door as his body moved toward it.
I swallowed thickly; the room I was left in was dark. I didn't know what to do. This had never happened in our relationship. Usually, he always understood, but not this time.
The whole situation was a mess. I shouldn't have ignored him; I understood that part. Tears began to swell around my eyes at the sheer helplessness.
I was about to embark on this mission with Anakin, who was angry with me.
