《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 53: A Thousand Moons

It was around midday when Jar jar has finally awoken. He was confused about what had happened over the day, but he managed to retain only half of what happened after a long discussion.
The troops searched the room as they waited for more orders. I leaned against the table, playing around with my new borrowed saber I had in hand. I always wanted double sabers, but Master Windu always told me I had to have more experience to handle both.
I sighed, retracting my saber back into my belt. It seemed as though hours passed by, but it was only a few minutes that did.
"General Amidala, take a look at this. It's one of the virus bombs" One of the troops said, snapping me out of my thoughts. I walked towards the bomb, viewing it carefully. I raised my eyebrows, confused.
"Yes, it is?" I asked, confused until the trooper tilted the bomb showing an empty vial holder. "The vial is missing. Sound the alarm. That droid must have taken it." I directed loudly enough for everyone in the room to hear.
The sound of the alarm echoed throughout the whole facility. The emergency sign flashed green until suddenly, a loud explosion went off from one of the hallways nearby. My eyes shot up once again at the sign that had now turned red. The virus had been liberated.
I quickly closed the door. I walked toward the back of the room, grabbing our hazardous suits that were thrown when we were first captured.
"Jar Jar put this on now!" I yelled, throwing the suit in his direction. He nodded, trembling as he quickly zipped up his suit, making the latex slap against his skin. My thoughts quickly ran to Anakin; he must be worried.
"Anakin, can you hear me, Anakin?" I pressed the dial forcibly on my intercom band. The suit laid on top of it, making it harder to reach and hear. "Y/n. I'm here. Are you alright?" Anakin channeled in.

"Where's Ani?" Jar Jar yelled as he ran across the room in terror.
"Yes, for the time being. Jar Jar and I were in a safety chamber when the alarm went off. We're wearing protective suits." I said. I was frightened; I knew these suits were not going to hold long."The virus is loose, but Ahsoka has sealed off the facility," Anakin commented, trying to uplift the situation. Though I knew it was just a way to calm me down.
"Yes, but any remaining droids will try to break out. I'll do what I can to stop them. I cannot let that virus escape. I can't let Padme down." I sighed. I imagined if Padme was here instead of me, how differently things might have turned out.
"Be careful," Anakin said. His voice was loud and clear. "Always," I whispered as I turned off my intercom.
Jar Jar still paced around the room, lifting his hands into the air. I rolled my eyes, noticing his helmet laid on the ground. "Put this on." I stopped his body with my hand, picking up the helmet and handing it to him.
"Now come on, Jar Jar. we're going to find Ahsoka. We'll need her help to find those droids." I directed the few troops that opened the door once again.
We ran into the hallway stopping every few seconds as we searched. "Is anyone out there? Can anyone hear.." I began but was cut short. "Master Amidala, we're trapped in the safe room at the end of complex "B". Ahsoka answered.
"We'll be right there. Are you contaminated?" I asked as I quietly walked down the hallway leading me to complex B. There was a slight pause, "I'm afraid so." Ahsoka answered. My eyes widened as I heard coughing from the other end.
The halls were filled with a smoky blue gas, visible to the eye. Turning the corner were two battle droids. I grabbed Jar Jar's chest, pulling him back into hiding. The placed my hands on his mouth as his breathing became heavier.

"Master Amidala, where are you?" Ahsoka asked. I leaned forward once again, knowing if I was alone. "We're right outside your safe room," I commented as I stood up and quickly ran to the tall metal doors that were tightly closed shut.
"Can you get the door open?" I asked, touching the edges of the door until my eyes laid upon a glowing white button. "Go ahead, Jar Jar." I directed as he pushed the large button making the wide doors open.
Inside were Rex, Ahsoka, and a couple of troops. The ones without masks seemed to be getting the worst of the virus. They had achieved the ultimate dark circles, and their skin seemed to be pale.
"I'm sorry, Ahsoka." I walked in her direction, taking her in for a hug. "Don't worry about us, Master. We still have a job to do," she said softly.
I backed away, looking at her appearance; she seemed to be doing better than everyone else."There aren't very many droids left. We saw some heading toward the south entrance."
"As long as we're able, we'll help you destroy the droids left before they breach the compound." Ahsoka weakly smiled though I noticed her eyes were dragging along.
"You take the north corridor, and we'll take the south," I said as I took my lightsaber from my belt.
Jar Jar and two other clones followed closely behind. The halls were dark with a tint of blue. "The droids should be around. I can hear them cutting through the wall." I stopped at a corner peering over my shoulder. Ahead stood a large crowd of droids.
"Get ready," I whispered before I smiled, directing the fight to start. Blaster shots approached our direction once we became visible to the enemy. I took my lightsaber out, deflecting shots. Though it was quite dull just standing around, I decided to get into action.
I jumped off the side of the walls landing behind two droids, and with one swipe, their head hit the floor. I smirked with confidence as more came from behind. The twirls and flips Anakin had taught me came in good hand.
In the middle of the room was a ladder leading up to a hatch. I pointed as one of the droids started to climb its way up. "Don't open that hatch!" I yelled, pointing my saber upwards.
"Ha. Too late!" The droid's voice was squeaky and loud. I rolled my eyes before I used the force to pull him down, slicing him in half. "Well, he could have cooperated." I shrugged as Ahsoka laughed weakly.
Our celebration was cut short. Two droidekas rolled on the metal ground, echoing the halls of the facility. Ahsoka and I looked at each other as we both smirked and ran in their direction. Ahsoka hopped onto the walls getting on top of one.
"Jar Jar no!" I stopped in my tracks as I noticed he was taking his blaster out. I quickly grabbed him, pulling us onto the ground. It was too late. He shot, making it deflect back onto us.
"Y/n!" Ahsoka yelled. I opened my eyes, checking Jar Jar for any severe damage. Haven't noticed the hole that formed into my suit.
"General, your suit has been compromised."
