《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 50: Peppi

"Master, they're planning an attack on Naboo. It's the only explanation." I faced my Master, whose face was full of anger and confusion. His eyes stared deeply into mine, knowing he specifically asked me to stay near Padme.
"Delicate the situation is. Two Jedi we will send." Master Yoda protested. He held onto his cane with both hands maintaining balance.
"May I recommend General Kenobi and General Skywalker? Relations with the Gungans are a little tense right now, but they trust General Kenobi like one of their own." I requested. Their eyes carefully examined mine. The silence made me anxious. Was I too obvious in my request?
They stood upon the intercom table. They were hovering over my body while they made their decision.
"Send them we will." Yoda agreed. Making my shoulders relax from the built-up weight. I looked to the Queen, who was on the left of my shoulder.
"I want as much information as possible before the rest of the Jedi arrive. See if you and 3PO can download any of the other battle droid's memories. I'm going to find that lab." I confidently said. A smirk grew across my face. I took off my coat, letting the dress show the backside of my back.
My lightsaber was now in clear view as the Queen looked down, shocked. "Are you sure that's wise?" Captain Typho asked.
"Come on, Jar Jar," I announced, ignoring Typho's comment. Though as I opened the door, I smiled, knowing I could handle whatever was out there. "I'm sure!" I yelled, saluting on my way out.

The grassland was, as they called, full of grass. Everything surrounding me was green and full of color.
Jar Jar and I wore hazardous suits in case we ran into the virus. However, Jar Jar's suit was a bit too tight, making him limp as we walked.

Getting off the ship, we ran into some surprises. Four or five cattle laid dead on the ground. "Ah, this is bombad. Whatsa happen to them?" Jar Jar spoke, surprised at how many laid dead. Some of the cattle's tongues were still out, and their skin was pale grey.
"It's the plague. We're getting close." I kneeled beside one of the cattle, examining the area. There was freshwater; it seemed they took a drink and died shortly after.
My eyes continued further when suddenly I felt an odd sensation. My skin began to crawl when I sensed there was a presence behind us.
I ignited my lightsaber, slicing the Gungans spear in half.
"Don't move. I don't want to hurt you." My saber lighted half her face as she stared deeply into it. "Youesa okay. It's in the water." The Gungan yelled as she pointed back into the direction of the lake.
I furrowed my brows, looking back and forth between the water and this Gungan. I sighed, retracting my saber back into my belt.
I took off my helmet, exhaling as I got a breath of fresh air.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Meesa Peppi Bow." The Gungan replied. Her voice was cheery and sweet.
My eyes diverted off the Gungan and back to the dead Cattle. Thoughts lead me to think that the virus was the cause of this whole mess.
"We think the virus that made your animals sick came from the perlote trees." My voice was soft, laced with confusion.
"Yousa follow thisa river. Yousa finda yousa perlote. Meesa, take you." The Gungan began as she started to walk.
"No, Peppi, you stay here. You'll be going home soon, I promise. I'll send some soldiers to pick you up and take you back to Theed." I breathed out, my head tilting with a smile on my lips. I placed my hands on her shoulders, caressing them in aid to comfort Peppi.

A big grin appeared across her face, and a humored expression accompanied it.

Following the river led to a massive forest. It was filled with tiny bugs and flies jumping out now and then.
"Keep your eyes open. Look for anything out of the ordinary." I commented. My eyes were jumping back and forth in every direction. I didn't know what I was looking for.
Walking a few more steps wasn't as tricky, except for Jar Jar, who still limped in his suit. Now and then, the Gungan would redivert the back of his suit, snapping the latex on his back.
"Jar Jar if that suit was too-" I began but was cut short when the Gungan tripped on a small stick, landing straight on his face.
A small smile found itself on my lips at how unexpectedly funny this situation was. I bent down, helping the tall Gungan on his feet before looking closely to the hatch that had appeared underneath the dirt.
"A hatch," I mentioned.
I turned around, tuning my intercom back on. "Captain Typho, I think we're standing right on top of the lab. I need a geo-scan of coordinates SP127."
I kneeled back down onto the dirt. I examined the cravings and figures that were placed onto the metal.
"No way we're gonna open this." I knocked on the metal, seeing if there was any possible way. I huffed in annoyance; this was the time I needed Anakin here.
"We'll just have to-," I began. Before I could form a sentence, I was knocked out.

The Dao of Magic
Here I am, sitting on a mountain so far away from civilisation it might as well be the godforsaken arse of the world, about to ascend. Can't wait to leave this crapfest of a planet... Turns out that the higher ups decided that an unaffiliated rogue like me is too big of a risk to let run around free. Seems like this entire cultivation world is a late stage capitalist money making machine for the powers that be in the higher realms, and me stealing the good loot in front of their descendants and sect disciples noses finally pissed them off enough to take action. First, they sent all the sect masters and hidden dao protectors to off me - which failed, obviously. Heh, afterwards they simply bitch slapped me out of their universe though. That is interesting and all, but I just woke up in a valley watching some critters murder each other while trying not to freak out about how bad it smells here.Soo… where the fuck am I? Why is that deer fighting a feathery squirrel? Why am I teaching this baby rabbit saved from a cannibalistic mother how to kick beings in the face with the power of qi?Releases a couple of times a week!
