《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 47: Unravel Me

A blast came from the bridge approaching my direction; my eyes snapped back onto Anakin's. "The bridge is out!" I yelled, noticing the tracks beneath us were traveling at high speed.
"Jump to me!" Anakin shouted. He held his hands out, waiting for me to jump into them. Usually, I wouldn't be afraid to jump over a platform, but at this moment, any wrong foot placement could lead to a horrible plump to the ground.
"I'll use the Force. You have to trust me." his eyes pleaded, hoping I would consider it. "I think I can jump." I stuttered, looking back down at the tracks. We were feet above the ground; I closed my eyes, nodding before jumping into the air.
Anakin wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me tightly. "I got you." I wrapped my hands around his neck, looking dearly into his eyes. "Nice catch!" Obi-Wan yelled from above, making both our heads snap up instantly.
"I'll fetch the droid and Padme!" He ran back towards the track. I had completely forgotten all about those two.
My full attention was on Anakin; he was finally in front of me for what seemed like forever. "I missed you." I took Anakin into a hug stepping onto my tiptoes. The boy placed his hands on my waist, kissing the side of my cheek. "I missed you too, bubs." I leaned back, staring into his eyes."Bubs?" I questioned. His cheeks glowed a slight pink; he nervously laughed as he scratched the back of his neck. "New nickname." He weakly smiled, making me laugh. "I love it." I pulled his face taking his lips into mine.
"Oh, the things you do to get me alone." Anakin teased, pulling away as he still held my waist. "Stop talking." I placed my lips on his once again. I tried to ignore the way my pulse picked up. My heartfelt like it was about to jump out of my chest.
I locked my arms behind his neck, pulling his body closer to mine. His breathing became heavier, making my whole body tense up with excitement.

"Wait." He mumbled against my lips, making me stop. "You told me you wanted a perfect place, and underneath this bridge is quite romantic. So, uh, Y/n Amidala, will you marry me?" Anakin held a necklace, and dangling it from it was a diamond ring.
"Anakin." I cupped my mouth with my hand, shocked out how beautiful the ring glistened in the light. "So is that a yes or?" Anakin laughed nervously under his breath. "Of course!" I hugged Anakin once more. The knot in my stomach had become tighter; the excitement I felt was unexplainable.
"Turn around." Anakin directed, and I did without questioning it. "I know you can't wear a ring on your finger, but maybe wearing it under your robes is something." He said, moving my hair to my shoulder. He clipped the necklace, slowly coming closer to my neck. His breath made my body tingle as he kissed it softly.
However, our small romantic session was ruined by Anakin's intercoms band started blaring.
"Anakin, I got separated from your droid." Obi-Wan's voice echoed through the tunnel. "3PO." My eyes widen, knowing Padme loves the droid. "Ugh, I'll take care of it." Anakin sighed in frustration. "I'm getting you out of here." Anakin smiled, placing his free hand on the back of my waist.
"R2, I need you to help me find 3PO. He's on the rail jet. I know. I know he does. Look, find him for me, and I'll be there soon." Anakin began to argue with R2 making me chuckle slightly. "Now, where were we?" Anakin laughed as his face inched closer towards mine.
"Wait, where is Padme?" I asked, making his eyes pop back open. "She's probably with Master Kenobi or 3PO." I stared at Anakin coldly before he sighed once more. "Alright, let's go look for her." he forced a smile, making me kiss him one more time before we moved out.

We turned the corner of the hallway, slightly slipping. More and more droids followed behind our steps blasting in every direction missing every shot.

Anakin and I stepped aside, taking cover on a wall. "Obi-Wan? Come in, Obi-Wan," Anakin shouted into his intercom. I stepped out from the wall taking my lightsaber to deflect the blasts as Ani continued talking to Obi-Wan.
"Anakin, I'm afraid General Grievous is onto us," Obi-Wan commented.
Yup, that was pretty obvious, seeing as though every droid on the ship was on our feet. I continued to wipe out the droids as fast as possible, making sure they wouldn't overrun us. "We'll rendezvous back at the Twilight. The fleet must engage the-" Master Kenobi began but shortly disappeared after the intercom chat was unexpectedly cut.
"Obi-wan? Obi-wan!" Ani yelled in an attempt to reach Master Kenobi once more. "What's wrong?" I asked, taking cover behind the wall again. "They're jamming us." Anakin hit his wrist band several times before giving up.
"I suppose you have a plan," I smirked as he grabbed my shoulder, shielding me from the multiple blaster shots from the droids. "Follow me."
Ani wrapped his fingers around mine, taking me along for his ride. The hallway was filled with blaster holes and ripped metal from the sides of the walls.
We spotted an elevator taking it to the highest level on the ship. "We're going all the way up?" I asked, noticing he pressed the very top floor. "Yup, get your lightsaber ready." He chuckled, grabbing his from the side of his belt.
When the doors opened, a few battle droids turned their heads around, shocked by our appearance. I ran to the left side of the room while he ran towards the right. I jumped over three droids taking out the last one in the row.
"Uh oh." One of the droids whispered to the other, making me shake my head annoyingly. I slid on the ground, taking down their legs before moving up to their heads. I looked back up to see Anakin was still on his droids.
"Ever since I've known you, you've been playing with droids," I smirked as he took down the last one. "I used to build them. Now I only take them apart" He held out his hand, insisting I take, which I did without hesitation.
"So, where do we start?" I asked as we walked over to the command center of the ship. "First, we need to get rid of these droids, so they won't know we were here. I'm going to hot-wire the ship, give Grievous a little surprise." he let go of my hand, placing himself on a seat in front of a terminal.
"I guess I'll clean up the droids then." I sighed, taking the arms and scraps of the droids that were dismembered on the ground. One by one, I placed them crammed into the elevator.
"That ought to do it. How is the house cleaning going?" Anakin asked playfully. I rolled my eyes, placing one last droid. "Done. Let's get out of here." I wiped the sweat from my forehead. Anakin put his arm around my neck, giving my cheeks tiny kisses.
When the elevator doors opened again, we ran into Padme, C3PO, and R2. "Padme!" I yelled, taking her into a hug. "Are you okay?" I asked, examining every visible part of her body. "I'm okay, are you?" She wondered, smothering my cheeks. "I'm fine." I forced out as she held the sides of my cheeks forcibly.
"Get going!" Obi-Wan yelled as he turned the corner, making us run in the direction of the ship they landed. "Power up the engines, R2," Anakin ordered as everyone was now entirely inside safe.
"I'll contact the fleet," Obi-Wan mentioned as he sat at the front of the ship. "R2, release the docking clamp." Ani passed on, sitting next to Obi-Wan. The ship had finally released itself from Grievous ship, and we were on our way back to the Republic cruiser.

Synergy
Dear Inspector, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from being a Player. Hey! Laugh all you want, but I had to try. With no rules down here, who's to say that I can't resign? Anyway, my reasons are simple: I'm neither a gamer nor a hero. You got the wrong person for the job. Sure, the pay is decent and I could pretty much live like a king if, you know, I wasn't so busy trying to survive. I have major concerns about the demonic dagger bound to my soul too. Come to think of it, I've never asked to be transported to this fantasy land either and would like you to return me home, thank you very much. I don't want supernatural powers, I don't want to complete quests after quests, and I don't want to be your test subject anymore. What? I'm not whining, you're whining. Stop making excuses and let me leave already. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you'll find a better replacement after I'm gone for good. Sincerely,Randel, the Mad Painter What to expect from Synergy: --> Some GameLit elements are presented subversively. If you want the protagonist to “play the game” properly, this might not be the story for you.--> No filler chapters; the story's structure is already plotted out. It's going to have six story arcs.--> Character development happens slowly, over many chapters. Don't expect a perfect protagonist right off the bat.--> Some romance, but it will never be the main focus.--> Humor and dark elements in equal measure, but not to the extent that I’d label this story as “Comedy” or “Grimdark”. ... and lots and lots of Author's Notes. See you on the other side of the portal!
