《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 35: Caught

"No guard. No barricades. Huh." Anakin wondered as he walked up the long staircase leading to a building. The streets of Christophsis were silent. "You'd think the Separatists headquarters would be better protected." Ani chuckled, stopping slowly at the front of two wide doors.
"Clearly, keeping us out is not what they intended," I said, making them place their hands below their chin. Using the force, I held my hand up, swaying it in one quick motion opening the doors. Even on the inside, there was no sign of the dumb droids. The only sounds were the dust falling onto the metal ground. Without speaking a word, we made our way towards the elevator spectacle of our surroundings. The whole ride was pure silent.
Eventually, the doors opened to a large empty room. Chandeliers and windows were broken, and pieces of glass were splattered everywhere. "So this is the belly of the beast," Ani said, taking one step forward examining the room in its entirety.
A woman wearing a black hood emerged from the shadows, slowly walking towards the room's center. She stopped halfway and stood feet away from us. The woman flipped her hood off confidently. She was tall and skinny and had dark red lipstick.
"Ventress." Obi-Wan seethed through his teeth. "And here I thought this mission would be unpleasant." Obi-Wan sarcasm only made Ventress roll her eyes.
"The pleasure's all mine, my dear Obi-Wan. I've missed you." Ventress said seductively. She slowly unhooked the button, letting her robes fall to the ground. She had a curvy figure, and in all, she was beautiful. Even Obi-Wan took his time observing her. I looked at Anakin's face to see if he was staring, but he was glaring onto the ground. I smiled, knowing he wasn't looking.
Ventress placed her hands behind her back, pulling out two red sabers. Pretty cool, but not good enough. I pulled out my saber, making Obi-Wan and Anakin pull out theirs. Ventress's eyes stared into mine, she smirked, then turned around and ran.
Following behind was Anakin, she stopped at the top of the stairs looking down directly at Ani. He pointed his saber directly in front of her forehead. "My loyal informant let me know you were coming," Ventress said, laughing slightly.
Obi-Wan climbed a few steps stopping behind Anakin, "Well, then, we thank you for your hospitality." Master Kenobi said, placing his hands on his hips.

"Let's just end this!" Anakin shouted, making a move towards Ventress. The sounds of lightsabers clashing against others and grunts were the only sounds in the entire building. Anakin seemed to handle himself well against Ventress. He was dodging every move and quickly striking at any opportunity he had. It didn't last long; Ventress was talented, I had to admit, she was hard to defeat.
With her foot, she kicked Anakin down the flight of stairs landing on my feet. I kneeled, holding his head into my hands. "Are you okay?" I asked worriedly. "I'm fine," Anakin grunted, rubbing the side of his temples. "Is that all you Jedi got?" Ventress was still at the top of the stairs laughing as she paced between the small space she had.
The anger inside of me built up; I carefully placed Anakin's head back onto the ground. I stood up, taking my lightsaber from my belt as well as Anakin's from the ground. The ignition of both of them felt amazing. "Two can play," I shouted, making my way up the stairs.
Obi-Wan and I were both battling Ventress. She was great at deflecting and known when to strike, but she never got a chance to hit anyone. Frustration kicked in, Ventress used the force to pick up a large metal wall throwing it directly at Obi-Wan. Luckily, Obi-Wan was fortunate enough to slice the metal frame in half.
"Getting tired Ventress?" I seethed, making her eyebrows scrunch inwards. She quickly pulled back, dashing up another flight of stairs before turning the corner. Still, Obi-Wan and I followed in her tracks. We were now in what seemed to be a small library.
Books quickly darted in our direction, but promptly Obi-Wan stopped them with force, struggling, I helped make the books turn around and hit Ventress. She stumbled back.
"Give up, Ventress," Obi-Wan instructed, retracting his saber back onto his belt. "I'm all yours, Obi-Wan," Ventress smirked; she let her body fall onto the ground crossing her legs. Obi-Wan slowly made his way towards her; he held his lightsaber tightly. This could be a trap, and it was.
She took out her lightsabers once more, slashing them onto the ground, making the floor beneath us fall to the level we were in minutes ago. We fell onto the ground harshly, the dust falling onto our clothes.

I felt two hands on my cheeks, looking up, it was Anakin. He smiled before looking back up at Ventress, whose figure was standing on the floor above us. "You've served your purpose," Ventress yelled; she still had that annoying smirk on her face.
"We have to get back. Now." Anakin yelled, still holding onto the sides of my cheeks. "It's already too late, my dear. So hard to know whom to trust these days, isn't it?" Ventress teased, winking at Anakin. Nope, that made my whole body feel better than ever.
I stood up, looking directly at Obi-Wan, "What's the plan, Obi-Wan?" I asked furiously. "Bringing us here was a mistake, my sweet. You've overestimated your abilities." Obi-Wan said, sharing the same anger as mine.
"Really?" Ventress teased again; she looked down before running off again. The three of us jumped up, and we were now on the same level as Ventress.
She ran her body through the window, breaking it in an instance. We were on the roof of the building. Nearing the edge quickly, but Ventress didn't seem to stop. Instead, she fell down the building; we stopped in our steps. Until we saw the top of her head slowly float back up. She was on top of a tri-droid, "Come and get me" Ventress teased.
The city was no longer empty as it had been. There was a fleet of Separtis ships everywhere. "You didn't tell us you were bringing friends." Obi-Wan said, making Ventress frown, "Poor Obi-Wan. You've been betrayed. And now we're about to take control of this world." Ventress's unkind words sparked tension in Kenobi.
Obi-Wan jumped off the building, landing one of the droid's legs, slashing it. Anakin and I did the same, making the ball-shaped tri-droid slowly fall to the ground. "You guys!" Anakin shouted, pointing at three speeders driven by battle droids in the distance.
It's time to fall; I jumped off the side, thrusting myself onto a speeder, making the battle droid fall to its death. I hung on as tightly as I could as the three of us made our way back to base.

When we arrived back to base, Slick, a clone commander, was being taken in handcuffs by Rex. "Slick?" Obi-Wan asked, confused, "It was you?" The hurt in Kenobi's voice was devastating. I knew how much Obi-Wan was excited to have more members of the republic. "He gave us a bit of a chase, sir." Rex held Slick's body close to Obi-Wan.
"You couldn't be a greater disappointment." Anakin mocked Slick rolling his eyes. "How could you do this to your brothers?" Ani added, shaking his head furiously. Slick scuffed before retracting his eyes back on Anis. "Only a Jedi would ask that. It's the Jedi who keep my brothers enslaved. We do your bidding. We serve at your whim. I just wanted something more." Slick said, hanging his head down low.
"And all you had to do to get it was put the rest of us all at risk," Rex said, holding a tighter grip on Slick's shoulder. "I.... I love my brothers. You're too blind to see it, but I was striking a blow for all the clones." Slick yelled through the grunts.
Cody leaned against the wall rolling his eyes through every word Slick has said, and so have I. "If you loved your brothers, you wouldn't have put them at risk." Cody mimicked Slick, shaking his head in disbelief. "You betrayed them, Slick," I said annoyingly, making his brown eyes fiercely stare into mine. "Take him to lock up," Cody ordered. Two clone troopers grabbed Slick by the cuffs escorting him into the hallway.
"Were you able to salvage anything from the weapons depot?" Obi-Wan asked as soon as Slick was no longer in the room. A nervous expression sat on the faces of Cody and Rex as they both stared at each other.
"Slick pretty much scorched the whole thing. That seemed to be what he was going for all along." Rex sighed as he spits out the information. Obi-Wan's eyes stared onto the ground, confused. I knew what he was feeling; It was never fun to be betrayed.
"We managed to save the heavy cannons, though," Cody whispered, making Obi-Wan smile. "Well, that's good. Cause there are about a thousand battle droids outside on their way here." Obi-Wan said, lifting his head.
"The fight goes on, gentlemen," Ani said, making both troopers nod.

[Schedule is currently a bit borked due to poor health, looking to finish up the first section of this book by the end of the year then back to a regular schedule in January] This is a kitchen sink space opera. It originated off me lamenting the lack of witches in space and has spiraled out of control from there.
