《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 25: Strict Orders

My eyelids battled to open the next morning; I felt it.
The adrenalin and excitement had subsided; my head was clear for the first time in hours. I would have scolded myself for how far last night went, but I enjoyed every second. I enjoyed how close his body was to mine.
I found myself touching my lips before realizing my thoughts were betraying me, but I didn't care where they lead me.
Anakin groaned softly, bringing my head back to reality. His arm lazily dropped around my waist; my back was facing towards him. His breath tickled my neck, making my body tense up. "Good morning," Anakin whispered. His voice was rough and deeper in the morning. He deepened his face into my shoulder, giving my neck small little kisses.
I giggled at the touch, which only made him laugh in between them. "We should get going," Anakin said softly and hugged me tighter. I turned around to face his blue eyes, only to see him smiling. For the first time, he was happy, as was I.

Upon boarding the ship, R2 quickly zoomed out of the door, almost tripping on his way. "Watch out, R2. What's wrong?" I asked. A jumble of words came from R2 too quick enough to catch anything. I looked at Anakin, who was also confused. "It seems that he is carrying a message from an Obi-Wan Kenobi," C3PO said, trying to catch up behind us.
Fear took over my body. Thoughts quickly piled up, questioning if Obi-Wan found out about last night. It was possible, but it was crazy. "Hmm. Master Ani or Master y/n, does that name mean anything to you?" C3PO asked, tilting his head.
Without any answer, Anakin quickly walked into the ship in a hurry. Following behind, the intercom was beeping. We took our seats at the front and waited to be screamed at. I knew somehow they would find out everything.

I looked at Anakin, who seemed to be just fine. "Aren't you worried?" I concernedly asked. He lifted an eyebrow," worried?" he asked. His eyes glaring into mine from across the seats. His gaze slowly dragged up and down my body making me blush in an instance.
But before answering, Obi-Wan's face appeared on the intercom, diverting our attention on the blue hologram. "Anakin, my long-range transmitter has been knocked out. Retransmit this message to Coruscant." Obi-wan said. Quickly in one swift motion, I pushed the buttons, waiting for the entire council to appear.
"I have tracked the bounty hunter, Jango Fett, to the droids foundries on Geonosis. The trade federation is to take delivery of a droid army here, and it's clear that Viceroy Gunray is behind the assassination attempts on Senator Amidala. The Commerce Guilds and Corporate Alliance have both pledged their armies to Count Dooku and are forming a-- Wait. Wait." Obiwan said the last part shakily.
He pulled out his lightsaber, igniting it. Destroyer droids in every direction surrounded Obi-Wan. Loud grunts would come in and out before he disappeared completely. I looked at Anakin, whose face was mortified. His lips were slightly open, but his eyes were wide. His panting became heavier.
"More happening on Geonosis, I feel, than has been revealed." Yoda's words broke the tension. "I agree. Anakin, we will deal with Count Dooku. The most important thing is to stay where you are. Protect the Senator at all costs. That is your priority." Master Windu spoke up, looking directly into my eyes before looking at Anakins. "Understood, Master," Anakin said, nodding.
He disappeared, and we were finally left alone. I looked back at Anakin, whose face became deepened with sadness. There was no way I'd let Anakin lose another person he loves. I knew Padme was capable of handling herself.

"They'll never get there in time to save him. They have to come halfway across the galaxy. Look." I turned my chair around, bringing up images of the planets and their distance from Coruscant to Geonosis. "Geonosis is less than a parsec away." I turned back over, hoping he understood what my plan was.
"If he's still alive." Anakin huffed and walked towards the other side of the ship. He seemed rather annoyed or upset; I couldn't tell the difference. I thought this would make him happy, but instead, it did the opposite. "Ani, are you just gonna sit here and let him die? He's your friend, Your mentor. He's--" Anakin's entire body turned in an instance. "He's like my father!" he yelled, his voice sounding both hurt and angry.
My lips were slightly apart, startled by his response. He bit his lower lip and loudly sighed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell. But you heard Master Windu. He gave me strict orders to stay here!" Anakin still yelled. I shook my head, "He gave you strict orders to stay here. I'm going to help Obi-Wan." I turned the chair around, pressing buttons that turned on the ship.
"You're not going anywhere." Anakin firmly said. "Why not?" I asked back, making him walk towards him. He bent his back so that his eyes were at the same level as mine. "I don't want to see you get hurt." he calmly said, his face softening up.
I held my hand against one side of his cheek, bringing my lips towards his. "Well, if you don't wanna see me get hurt, you might as well come along because I'm going with or without you," I whispered teasingly, getting close enough to his lips before pulling back.
He coughed, realizing what had just happened. He itched the back of his neck, a slight pink forming on his cheeks. "Geonosis it is." he chuckled nervously, sitting down at his seat.

They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
