《Out-Flirt Me - Anakin x Reader》Chapter 34- Glowing Gold

They had sent you five on another ship to get in front of the fleet. You were still a while away and so you sat in the back, reading. Surprisingly, there was a book stashed in a crate. Unsurprisingly, it was a manual of some sort.
So, you read a manual for fixing power converters in silence in the back of the ship. Even though this wasn't your normal reading material it was actually quite interesting. You liked to learn in fact, you loved it sometimes. Probably because you hated not knowing things. Every time you didn't know something, it made you feel stupid and useless.
Now, you don't know why you felt that way. No one ever told you that you were stupid for not knowing one small thing. Your master used to pat you on the shoulder when you hung your head. Still, you were like this and probably wouldn't change.
After a few more minutes of silence, footsteps came from behind you. You knew the pattern, they were longer steps because he was tall. As he entered the room, you looked up from your book to him.
He chuckled, "Why are you up there?"
You looked at where you sat, on top of a shelf next to the crate where the manual was. You had leaned against the wall and were pretty comfortable.
"There was a book up here."
"Oh, I should be guessed."
You climbed down the shelves, holding the book between your chin and chest. When you got to the ground you held it in one hand.
"What are you reading?"
Off the cover, you read, "The Complete Power Converter Manual with Tips from a Mechanic."
Anakins lips formed a tight line as he tried not to laugh.
"It's okay, you can laugh," Now he broke out chortling, "It's pretty interesting though."
"I'll take your word for it."
"Hey, you had to read these things when you got your mechanics band."
"Yeah, because I was assigned them and you know how much I hated those things."
"I seem to remember reading some of them for you, ner cyar'ika."
"You do love to read."
"Yeah."
You formed your lips into a line and Anakin laughed.
"What?" You asked as he almost doubled over.
"You're just so cute and especially when you do that little face."
"I'm not cute, I'm scary. So I can scare off my enemies."
"Who's gonna be enemies with you? A Loth cat?"
"Anakin!" You punched his chest as you laughed with him
Except he grabbed your hand and as his laughter died down he pulled you closer. You dropped your book and it landed with a soft thud. The laughter faded as you wrapped your arms around the neck and his around your waist.
"You're not scary, kar'ta. You're beautiful and adorable and sweet."
Your cheeks turned pink as that familiar feeling in your stomach came back. He leaned down and pressed a kiss on your lips. It only lasted a few seconds and when he pulled back, you rested your head on his chest. You couldn't see his face but he smiled as he placed his head on yours.
Then there were footsteps, quick footsteps and you threw yourself backward. Even though Anakin tried to catch you, you landed on the ground a few feet away from him. Anakin softly chuckled as you sat there and looked up at who entered.
Auren stood at the door, looking suspiciously at you and Anakin.

"What's up, Sparks?" You asked from the ground.
"I was supposed to tell you two to come sit down, but it seems you've taken care of that, Master."
As you got up from the ground Anakin asked Auren, "Are we coming up on the fleet?"
"No, something else. I don't know how to describe it, you should come see for yourself."
Anakin nodded and looked back at you, who was now upright. You followed behind him and left the storage room as Auren just looked at you.
"What?"
"Nothing, Master. Nothing at all."
You shook your head and looked up at the large glowing object in the window. It was much wider than the ship and it seemed to be pulling it in.
"What's happening, Obi-Wan?" Anakin asked as he sat down in the co-pilots seat.
"This thing came out of nowhere and it's sucking us in. I've tried everything."
The light was getting closer and it was almost touching the front of the ship. You sat down in a seat next to Ashoka and Auren. Buckling up, you got ready for impact as Obi-Wan and Anakin argued.
"Did you try-"
Anakin was cut off by the light going through the ship and everyone passed out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You awoke in your seat with your buckle still on. As you got up, you groaned and stretched but when you saw your hand, you froze. It was like it was glowing, there was a faint yellow light circling the edges. Yet it didn't scare you in fact, it calmed you. You felt weird and you couldn't tell what it was but everyone else was still asleep. The girls were in their seats and Anakin was in his. Obi-Wan was in the pilot's seat with his hands on his lap, under the steering.
Through the windshield, you could see what looked to be a mountain with green grass. The ship was so close to it that you couldn't see anything else. The odd feeling was still there and it made you feel like you had to go outside.
Even though your common sense told you it was a bad idea, you did it anyway. When you opened the door, you saw the bright green grass and the bright blue sky. This place was beautiful, with mountains and cliffs and clouds drifting quickly in the sky.
The feeling now felt peaceful, like nothing could harm you here. You sat down on the soft grass and began to meditate, wanting to find out why your hands were like that. Maybe you could also find out where you are. Through the force, you searched but it seemed that you were everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
Your eyes drifted open as you laid back and stared at the sky. It was all the same shade of electric blue with white fluffy clouds that danced in the light breeze. You could feel the wind that caressed your face and lightly blew your hair. The sun was not yet halfway in the sky, so it must be around 10 where ever you are.
"Y/n?"
You sat up and turned around to Anakins voice. He sounded oddly panicked for your state of calm and he froze when he saw you.
"What are you doing out here and why are you?" You stood up as he walked toward you.
"Do you not feel it?"
His brows furrowed as he scanned you, "Feel what?"
"Just relax for a second, feel the world."
His hands were now in yours as he closed his eyes and relaxed his face. You could tell that he could feel it.
"What is it?" He asked as he opened his eyes.
"I don't know, that's why I came out here. But when I try to find where we are, it just fades."
"Fades?"
"The feeling, it just blends across the galaxy."
"Huh."
Obi-Wan and the girls had come out a while ago while you and Anakin were talking. Now you noticed and let go of Anakin's hands, to which he silently chuckled. They walked toward you and Anakin while looking around.
Ashoka smiled at everything while Auren looked confused especially at you. Obi-Wan wore his neutral expression up until someone appeared right in front of you all.
A tall woman with mint hair and pale skin. She wore an elegant white outfit with gold accents. She also had her eyes on you and Anakin.
"Who are you?" Anakin asked.
She tilted her head, "I am Daughter. Are you the one?"
She was starting him down and he looked at you before looking back.
"Uh, the one what?"
"I will take you to him, we've been waiting."
"Who's he?" Ahsoka asked.
Auren added, "And where are we?"
"He will answer everything, but there is little time. Follow me."
She gave you one last glance before walking away.
"And we thought the planet was strange," Auren commented as you all began to walk after her.
"We'll be fine as long as we stay together."
You all walked after her and Auren came up next to you,
"Why are you glowing?"
"I don't know."
"How did you wake up before us?"
"I don't know."
She just sighed and walked next to Ashoka.
"Do you feel that?" Obi-Wan asked as you continued to walk.
Anakin responded, "Yeah, it's weird. The force is strong here."
"I've never felt anything like this before, be wary."
You all nodded and continued to walk. Now you were walking on a small path on the side of the mountain.
"Excuse me," Anakin asked, "Who are you taking us to?"
"I'll take all of you, but her."
She turned around and looked at you.
"Me?"
"Yes, you must go a different route."
"Why?"
Anakin made the smallest step toward you.
"It is your destiny."
With that, she waved her hand to the side, and you were thrown off the cliff. Your mouth parted yet you didn't scream, you felt like you couldn't. Your eyes widened with Anakin's as you reached for his hand and he kneeled to reach for you.
You could feel your eyes closing and feelings fading as you fell into the abyss. The glow disappeared as the fog engulfed you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you woke up, there was light. One bright light shines right into your eyes as you lie on an oddly soft surface. You groan as you sit up and cover your eyes. Now you don't know how you didn't die, but this place was strange enough already.
"Welcome back."
You stood up and whipped around with your green saber in hand only to see the Daughter waiting there. She was unfazed by your actions and just floated toward you. You lowered your weapon and turned it off but kept it ready.
"It's not your fault. She's not dead."
Your eyes widened, it took you a second but she was talking about Darth Novu.
"She's not? But- but I killed her, in cold blood."
"No, she is alive and you didn't do that. You wouldn't be glowing if you did."
"Why am I glowing?" You asked looking at your hands, still shocked about Darth Novu.
"You've been chosen, that's why you're here."
"Chosen for what exactly?"
"You'll find out soon enough."
With that, she left and the door slammed behind her.
"Thanks for the help, I guess."
Now you could take in the room around you. Almost all the walls were a bright white except the one with an arch window, it was a soft yellow. The bed you had laid on had white sheets and a canary frame with arches and shapes. The floor was also bright white and had no signs of anyone walking on it.
As you searched the room, even though there was nothing to be found, the door opened. You spun around and ignited your saber again to find an old man standing there.
He had a long beard that matched the three walls with almost purple skin. His eyes were an unsettling bright blue and he wore a large hat. His entire outfit was a deep, faded blue with gold and purple accents.
You stared at him in confusion before asking, "Are you him?"
"Yes, I am Father. Welcome back, my child."
"Ok, well I don't think you're my father so maybe I should just leave."
"You can trust me," He looked at your weapon, "I assure you that not everything is what it seems."
"See that last sentence really made me not want to trust you."
"My child, I will explain everything."
He crept closer to you and you backed up.
"Have you ever wondered how you're force-sensitive when your siblings are not?"
"Yeah, so?"
"It's because I created you."
"What?"
You took another step back and ran into the wall.
"I created you in case my other creation ever needed to be defeated. If he lost his way, you would be there to stop him."
"I'm finding this all really hard to believe."
"Walk with me, my child."
Taking a deep breath, you lowered your lightsaber and walked with him. He guided your out the door and through a long, stone hallway.
"You see, my other creation was started by two dark force users."
"Sith lords?"
"Yes, but Daughter and I sensed the disturbance and changed his path. We created him to balance the force, not demolish the light side. His path was certain to us until he was born. We could sense what the Sith Lords had placed within him. Hatred, fear, anger. So Daughter and I created another, to destroy him if it was needed."
"So I was created to kill someone else?"
"If it ever came to it, yes. It would not be un-Jedi-like as you fear. If it was ever needed, it would be because of the menace he caused."
"You keep saying he, who is he?"
Father looked down at you and squinted,
"It is safest to keep that a secret until you know more."
You just looked at him and he continued,
"We did not control where you were born like we did our last creation. We trusted that you would be placed into a good home for three years before becoming a Jedi. It was only surprising when you were born into a family with no force sensitives. You are so strong that we feared others may grow suspicious. Yet there was nothing we could do now."
"That's why I was taken, someone sensed me?"
"Precisely, but it had been three years and a Jedi was on his way to collect you."
"Plo Koon was looking for me?"
"No dear, his mission was disguised by us but because of him, you are here today. Now you will follow the path we have laid down and keep the chosen one on track."
"The chosen one? Anakin Skywalker?"
"Yes, he was our other creation."
"So, Sith tried to create Anakin Skywalker but you took over. That's why he doesn't have a father?"
"Yes, we chose Shmi Skywalker because of her kindness and distance from the Jedi."
"So all of this was your plan?" You stopped walking, "Everything he's lost, everything we've lost was because of you."
"My child-"
"He lost his mother because of you. I killed someone because of you. Everything we know is a lie! Our choices don't matter because they've already been made for us!"
He set and hand on your should and it calmed you, "We did what we had to and I am deeply sorry. You didn't kill anyone, she is alive and disguised. You will find her soon enough if you search. Your choices do matter, that's why we created you. In case Anakin Skywalker chose the wrong path."
You stared at the ground as he left his hand on your shoulder. You didn't have anything to say, you were processing too much.
"I assume this is hard to hear, so I will let you go back to your room."
Looking up, you nodded and walked back to the white and yellow room. You opened the heavy white door with intricate designs and it closed behind you. Sitting down on the bed, you placed your head in your hands. I need to talk to Anakin right now. In a moment of realization, you looked up.
This place was the force, if anything your connection would be stronger here. You smiled andlooked out the large window. It was getting dark and the sky was turning a beautiful purple. Just outside the window, a tree that had been beautiful only a moment earlier, was now dead. Your smile faded as you are on the ground and crossed your legs to meditate.
"Just feel, everything will come naturally. If you want to hear them, focus."
"Hear who, Master?" You asked with wide eyes as you sat across from your master.
"Everyone and everything, the force will guide you. It will show you everything and let you hear everything." She closed her eyes and sat up straight.
"But they're already there. I can already hear them."
She opened her eyes and looked at you in confusion,
"That's impossible. Don't makeup excuses, just try and listen for the voices."
Your head fell, "Okay, Master."
Even though the memory saddened you, it helps you focus. She didn't believe that you could hear them already. She never did, yet you prevailed and listened anyway.
Anakin. Anakin, are you there?
Taking deep breaths you focused, listen for him. Let him feel your presence.
Y/n? Where are you? Are you safe?
His words were strung with worry and fear,
Don't worry Anakin, I'm perfectly fine. Control your emotions.
He chuckled, You're starting to sound like a Jedi Master.
You shook your head even though he couldn't see you.
Are you still with the girls and Obi-Wan?
No, we got separated. I'm at some castle now.
Funny, so am I.
Hey readers! I'm elated to see 2.8k reads and I really hope you're enjoying this book. I don't know if I'm going to continue, so let me know if I should. Anyway, thanks for voting and being here!
