After all the excitement, Anakin made you lay back down on the hospital bed. You had shaken your head but did it anyway as he relaxed in a white chair. Holding your hands you in the air, you examined your new ring.

It was beautiful, with a gold band and a square diamond. It had little diamonds surrounding the big one and it was elegant yet not too out there. You smiled as you traced the edges.

"Do you like it?" Anakin asked in a sleepy voice.

You looked over to him, he was about to fall asleep. "I love it. You can go to sleep, you know."

"Are you going to sleep?"

"I can."

"Okay," He sat up and went to turn off the lights. When walked back over, he leaned over you and smiled.

"What?" You chuckled at his goofy smile as you caressed the side of his face.

"I love you."

"I love you too, sleepy head."

He leaned down and kissed your lips softly. It only lasted a few seconds but it was enough to make your heart stop and start again. He went back to his chair and reached his hand out to you. You took it and rolled onto your side, cuddling his hand.

"Are you happy?"

"Very," You responded, looking over at him. His eyes were closed as he faced you.

"Good, I'm happy too."

"I'm glad, good night."

"Good night, angel."

Numb. So very numb.

Your eyes shot open as you awoke in a cold sweat. Holding Anakin's hand tightly, you shook your head to get rid of the nightmare. It didn't work, you still felt sorry for all that Anakin went through. Worst of all, that wasn't the only thing your nightmare was about. You were still downright terrified of being taken away from you family again. This whole experience just made it worse.

Loosing up on Anakin's hand, you tried not to wake him. Yet he stirred in the chair, he could feel your pain, your sorrow, your fear. You hated this feeling, you were cold and helpless and trembling. Still, you continued to try and calm yourself. Deep breaths. You told yourself as you laid with Anakin's hand.

This was supposed to be the happiest night of your life. Instead you were in a hospital bed having nightmares about what you'd been through. It's not that bad. People have been through worse. The voice was right, it hurt but others had been hurt worse. So you tried to go back to sleep even though you were in pain.

When you woke up for the second time, Anakin had his arm out but was staring at the ceiling. He looked content as the morning sun illuminated his face. You smiled as you opened your eyes all the way and stretched out your other arm.

The sudden movement made Anakin look at you and he smiled, "Good morning." His voice was still sleepy, so you hadn't held him too long.

"Good morning," You gazed into his bright blue eyes, "How'd you sleep?"

"Good, you?"

"Good." You smiled as he examined your face, he could tell you were lying.

As he tilted his head to the side, he asked, "You sure?"

"Of course."

He glanced at you one last time before sitting up, "The medical droids looked over you while you were asleep. They told me that you could get out of bed now but to be careful."

You smiled as you shot up, "You mean it?"

"Even though I think you should stay in bed, I can't argue with the droids."

Smiling widely, you jumped up and hugged him. He caught you as he leaned back and chuckled. He brought your memories back and you would be forever grateful. Then he sat back up and you pulled away while still on his lap.

"I'll get you some clothes, are you going to shower?"

"Yeah," You got off his lap and walked toward the bathroom door, "I'll be out soon."

He smiled and began to walk out the door, "Be careful with your cuts!"

"I'm always careful!"

Even though you couldn't see him, you could feel his smile and hear his chuckle. The door closed as you turned on the shower. It warmed up quickly as you stripped and jumped in. You lathered your hair and washed your body, actually watching out for the larger cuts.

When you were all done you grabbed a towel to dry off. Then you wrapped it around yourself as you twisted your hair in another towel. You wiped some fog off the mirror and looked at yourself.

The droids had taken off most of your facial bandages. Now there was only one at your right temple and left cheekbone. There were only a few left on your forearms and three left on your legs. With four three-day-old stitches that would leave fresh scars. You're not sure how the droids didn't wake you up, but here you are.

Walking out in your towel, Anakin was sitting in his white chair with your clothes on the bed. He had a data pad but looked up as you entered the room.

Smirking he greeted, "Hey angel."

You rolled your eyes and grabbed your clothes before going back to the bathroom.

He sighed and said, "At least I tried."

You smiled behind the door as you put on your underwear, tunic, and pants. You used the force to dry off your hair for the most part and hung the towels back up. When you left the room, the girls were sitting by Anakin in one white chair.

"Master!" Auren greeted as she smiled at you.

"Hey, Sparks. What are we doing today?"

Both her and Ashoka's eyes widened. Ashoka asked, "So you're like off bed rest and allowed to do things?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

Anakin squinted, "She's supposed to take it easy, she has stitches that could tear."

"Well let's not do that," Auren said as she hopped up from the chair, "You should see Rex's helmet."

"Auren, what did you do?"

She and Ashoka stopped by the door and turned around.

"Why do you think it was just me?"

"I don't know, because you're the one who brought it up."

Her lips formed a line, "Fair point, but I had help."

"Soka?"

Ashoka smiled and nodded.

"Anyone else?"

"Well," Auren looked at one hand and put down a finger for each name, "Fives, Echo, Tup, Jesse... I think that's everyone."

She looked to Ashoka and she nodded, "It was their idea, we just helped."

"What was their idea?" Anakin asked from next to you.

"We kinda," Ashoka paused before speeding up, "stole his helmet and gave him a bright pink and blue one."

You looked over to Anakin while trying not to smile, but you couldn't help it. You both started breaking out laughing and the girls just looked at each other. After a few seconds, you were almost in tears and you told the girls,

"Let's go see his new look."

They smiled and ran out the door. You and Anakin followed close behind while calming down from your laughter. They went to the hangar where the cruisers were and where the clones stayed in their barracks.

Auren walked into the barracks with the white bunk beds and looked around. Ashoka tapped her on the shoulder and pointed in the other direction. You could all hear Rex aggressively talking in the corner. They signaled you and Anakin in and you stood behind them.

Rex was pointing his finger while he had a face as pink as his helmet. The pink helmet that rested in the crook of his arm had all the details of his normal helmet in baby blue. While the rest of the helmet was hot pink.

He was yelling at Fives who stood there with a sly smirk on his face, "Where did you put my helmet!?" It was more of an order than a question.

"That's not yours? It has the same markings," Echo looked at Rex with wide eyes.

"Echo, if you don't tell me where my real helmet is. You'll be doing sprints for weeks."

"And it'll be worth it," He smirked just like Fives as Rex boiled.

Anakin and you had been quietly chuckling, trying not to disrupt the chaos. Now that they were having a staring contest, you and Anakin glanced at each other. The second you did, you both burst out laughing and the girls did as well.

Even though you couldn't see it, you knew you had gotten Rex's attention. He stormed over with Fives and Echo close behind. You and Anakin straightened up and tried to contain your laughter as he got closer. The girls kept on chuckling even though they tried to stop, so Anakin whispered,

"Shh."

Rex stood in front of the girls and made terrifying eye contact with them. Their eyes went wide as Rex tilted his head to the side.

"Do you know where my helmet is, Commanders?"

They looked at each other before Ashoka responded, "No sir, but I think pink's your color."

You stuck your hand right behind hers and she high-fived you. You both smiled as Auren chuckled,

"I agree, it suits you," She smiled and Rex sighed, pinching his nose.

He looked up at you exasperated, "Generals, do you know where my helmet is?"

Anakin and you looked at each other calmly,

"I can honestly say no," Anakin stated as Rex sighed again and walked back to Fives and Echo.

Auren and Ashoka turned back to you with wide smiles on their faces. You tried to contain yours, but it was no use. So you walked out of the barracks before congratulating them,

"Did you guys paint it?" You whispered.

"Yeah, do you like it?" Auren asked.

You smiled back at them, "It's great, I love the detail."

Anakin chuckled before asking, "Do you guys actually know where it is?

"Of course," Ashoka smirked, "We hid it."

You laughed with Anakin as you walked back into the Jedi temple. Even though your laughter began to die down, every once in a while you would both laugh. Then you saw Obi-Wan walking through the hallway with a data pad.

Anakin walked over to him and grabbed his shoulders. He looked surprised that he was there, but not by his actions.

"Hello, Anakin."

"Master, did you see Rex's helmet?"

He looked at the girls, "So you finished it?"

They both nodded and he lightly chuckled.

"You knew?" You asked as you walked toward him.

"Good to see you up and walking, Y/n, and yes. They've been working on it all morning."

"Last night too!" Auren said from your left as Ashoka was on your right.

Obi-Wan chuckled as Anakin let go of his shoulders. They began walking at the front of the group, making small talk as they went.

"Did you see Master Aayla and Captain Bly?" Auren asked Ashoka.

"No, what about them?"

Auren chuckled as you thought of Master Secura, she's very close with her captain.

"What's your theory, Sparks?"

"Well..." She looked up at you and cocked a brow, "I think they're in love. But Master Aayla loves the Jedi code more than him."

You chuckled, "Auren, I don't think any Jedi is in a relationship. I think they all love the code more than people they may have attachments to." Auren squinted at you so you continued, "We all know Master Windu loves the code."

She chuckled and Ashoka did too. Even though she kept looking at you, inspecting you. So you balled your hands inside your sleeves, effectively hiding your ring. While Ashoka and Auren talked about another test they would have to take soon. It was another lightsaber test, but this one was a duel. They matched you up with another padawan close to your age but everything else didn't matter. You could be put against someone twice your size.

They kept on talking as you constantly walked in between them. R2 had pulled up next to Anakin and now he was rolling along with them. Obi-Wan came to a hallway and stopped, turning to face everyone.

"Where are you going?" Anakin asked as you walked up next to him.

"Council meeting."

Anakin chuckled, "Oh, have fun."

"It's not as boring as you make it seem, Anakin." Obi-Wan walked off down the hallway.

You stood next to Anakin and R2 while the girls resumed their conversation.

"Where are we going?" You asked Anakin since you had just been walking to nowhere.

"I don't know," He looked at his comm and saw the time, "It's noon, do you want lunch?"

"Sure." You responded as the girls popped up behind you.

"Yes," They smiled and followed you to the mess hall.

Halfway through your lunch, Rex and some of his men walked in. You chuckled before seeing that he had his regular helmet again. When you looked over at the girls, they were shocked with their jaws on the floor.

Echo saw you four sitting down and came over,

"How did-" Ashoka began but stopped when Echo shook his head.

"Rex told Fives that he wouldn't let him see his girlfriend if he didn't give the helmet back."

Ashoka asked, "How did Fives find it?"

"He searched everywhere."

"Who's his girlfriend?" Auren asked.

"Don't know, he won't tell me. He says it may get him in trouble." Everyone rose their eyebrows and Echo nodded. He turned back to Rex and then back to you, "I better be on my way, have a good lunch!"

He walked off and Auren stared at her plate in thought,

"Do you have a theory, Auren?" You asked.

"It's out there, probably not right."

"Well, what is it?" Ashoka asked.

"It would get him in trouble."

You thought it was sweet that she was protecting Fives. Ashoka did too and she knew that Auren would probably tell her later. What you learned about Ashoka was that she had great observational skills but she didn't pick up on relationships. Auren on the other hand had no observational skills but picked up on every relationship.

When you looked up from your food, Ashoka was squinting at you. You were a bit thrown off that it wasn't Auren starting at you but she wasn't looking at your face. She was looking at your hand, your left hand. The one with your new ring on it.

Pulling your hand into your sleeve, Ashoka looked up at your face. Your eyes went wide as she tilted her head to the side. To get away, you grabbed your tray and walked to the tray return. Anakin followed behind you by a couple of steps and you thought to him,

Ashoka noticed.

You set your tray down and made eye contact with him,

The ring? Has Auren noticed?

No, just Ashoka but she may have started to believe Auren's theory.

He brought his lips into a tight line,

Well, they were going to find out soon enough.

Chuckling at him, you began to walk back to the table with your sleeves in your hands. Auren and Ashoka had stood up to begin walking over. So you and Anakin sat down to wait for them. He stuck his hand out and you just looked at him.

He smiled and stuck his thumb up and the rest of his fingers out. Now you smiled and placed your hand like his. He curled your fingers together and started moving his thumb from side to side, as did you.

1, 2, 3, 4. I declare a thumb war.

Anakin targeted his thumb at you and you dodged it. You got over his thumb and began to press down but he quickly drew a circle around your thumb. Landing on top, he pushed yours down with force and held it there.

"1... 2... 3"

You sighed and took your hand away while Anakin just smiled at you. He also looked over your shoulder so you looked back. The girls were watching your thumb war from right behind you. They smiled and you shook your head before standing up.

"I think you could've won, Master."

"Thanks, Sparks." You chuckled as you ruffled her hair.

Together you made small talk while you walked to nowhere. With R2 who had appeared again. Eventually, Obi-Wan also came along and you stopped to talk to him.

"Oh great, I was looking for you four." He said as Anakin came up next to you.

R2 trilled and Obi-Wan shook his head,

"Yes, you too. Anyway, we have a mission, if you're up for it."

He looked at you and you nodded, you felt perfectly fine.

"Alright then you two can head to the council room," He nodded to you and Anakin.

Anakin and you looked at each other before he said,

"Alright, are you going to tell us anything about it?"

You had begun to walk towards the council room,

"No, they should cover everything."

He walked you to the door and then waited outside with the girls. The second you walked inside and got to the middle, you and Anakin bowed your heads.

"Good to see you, it is. Under different circumstances, I would've hoped."

You both nodded to Master Yoda's words as Master Windu began,

"You two plus Master Kenobi and your padawans are to meet up with the Republic fleet in deep space. We believe there has been a collective attack against the ships and you will have to split up amongst them. We have lost contact with all of them and we hope you five can retrieve all the ships and send them back here to Coruscant."

It was a pretty self-explanatory mission. Find the ships, split up to terminate the enemy, and send them back here.

Anakin asked, "Do you believe this to be the work of the Separatists?"

"We don't know," Master Windu responded, "We lost contact with them before we could get any information on the attackers. This is a sensitive issue and you best be on your way."

"Thank you, Masters." You bowed your head and exited the room with Anakin right next to you.

The girls stood up from the bench they are on and looked at you two.

"So what's the mission?"

"We have to find part of the Republic fleet that is lost in deep space," Anakin began as you walked to the hangar, "They're under attack and we'll have to split up to get rid of the enemy."

"Is it the Separatists?" Auren asked from right behind you.

You responded, "They don't know, they lost contact too early."

The girls whispered behind you as you got to the cruiser that was waiting for you. Rex was standing out front with his helmet off talking to Echo, Fives, and Jesse. When you got close enough to hear the conversation, Rex said,

"No, you can't just paint a blue mustache on your helmet when you're supposed to go undercover."

Echo tilted his head, "What about the Hawaiian shirt over the armor? Does that count?"

"No-"

Fives asked, "What about the hats, can we wear those large beach hats over our helmets?"

"Where are you even planning on going?" Rex sighed as he pinched his nose.

"Nowhere, this is for future reference." Echo said simply.

You chuckled as they turned to you. They were all smiling, except for Rex who looked tired.

"Is everything ready to go?" Anakin asked.

"Yes, General."

"Alright then, let's go."

Rex shooed his men onto the ship and led the way to Admiral Yularen. He nodded to you before pulling up a hologram off four cruisers.

"These are the lost ships. Our ship," another cruiser pulled into view, "will up to the back ships. While the one the five of you will be on," A small ship appeared, "will pull up to the front. We'll take different routes and you will soon break off from this ship."

Everyone nodded and the hologram disappeared. For a few minutes, you all just stood there and talked. Obi-Wan was talking to Rex while Ashoka and Auren were playing some game with their fingers. Anakin and you just stood there talking about anything that came to mind.
